Killington - Snowdon Six Express
Killington - Snowdon Six Express

Snowdon Six Express is a six-person detachable bubble chairlift located at Killington Ski Resort. The chairlift runs from the base of Snowdon Mountain, up to the summit of Snowdon Mountain. From the top of the chairlift, skiers and riders may access all of Snowdon's terrain, which consists of a variety of intermediate and advanced terrain, as well as the Canyon and North Ridge areas via the Killink trail. The chairlift features blue bubbles, protecting riders from inclement weather. The chairlift was manufactured by Leitner-Poma and installed at the resort in 2018. The chairlift replaced the 1992 Poma Snowdon fixed-grip quad, which was relocated to the South Ridge area at the resort. This lift was a much needed upgrade, completely changing Snowdon from a place you rarely ski due to long and slow lifts, to one of the most popular spots on the mountain. Killington Ski Resort is a ski resort located in Killington, Vermont. The ski resort is located in the Central part of the state and is located just East of Rutland. The ski resort is the largest in the East in terms of skiable area and is the tallest ski area in New England in terms of vertical drop. The ski resort is comprised of 6 distinct different peaks: Killington, the largest of the peaks, provides great views and has a variety of intermediate and advanced terrain, both groomed and ungroomed; Snowdon is home to the ski area's only bubble lift and is home to mostly wide-open, intermediate groomed trails; Ramshead, one of the more family-friendly areas, is home to lots of beginner and easier intermediate terrain, as well as a few terrain parks; Snowshed, the ski resort's main beginner area; Skye which is home to a large variety of trails including Superstar, one of the most famous trails at Killington which is known for both hosting the FIS Race in November and often being the final trail to close in the East, and Great Eastern, a very long winding green trail; and Bear Peak, which is most famous for its steep mogul runs but is also home to a variety of terrain. The ski resort is owned by Powdr Corp, which also owns nearby Pico. Killington lift tickets are also valid at Pico but not vice-versa. The ski resort is a partner on the Ikon Pass. As of the 2021-2022 season, Ikon Pass holders have access to 7 unrestricted days at Killington/Picco, while Ikon Base Pass holders have access to 5 days of skiing at Killington/Pico with blackout days. Killington - Snowdon Triple

Snowdon Triple is a three-person fixed-grip chairlift located at Killington Ski Resort. The chairlift runs from the K-1 Base Area, up to the summit of Snowdon Mountain. The chairlift is one of two chairlifts, the other being the Snowdon Six Express, which runs from the bottom to the top of Snowdon Mountain. The triple typically only runs on holidays since the construction of the new six-pack. From the top of the chairlift, skiers and riders may access all of Snowdon's terrain, consisting of intermediate and advanced trails, as well as the North Ride and Canyon areas via Killink. The chairlift was manufactured by Heron-Poma and installed at the resort in 1973, helping to allieviate the Snowdon Double, the other chairlift on the mountain at the time. Beijing Winter Olympics| Gu Ailing: my biggest goal is have fun for myself and break boundaries 谷爱凌

"My biggest biggest biggest goal is one to have fun for myself, but also two to be able to break the boundaries of the boxes that people get put in. So in terms of the extreme sports, it's a huge honor to be able to be the first free skier to the podium in three events as a woman and it makes me very hopeful about what the next generation will be able to accomplish." -Gu Ailing Eileen on "What does it mean to be the first woman to win medals in three events at the Olympics (in freestyle)" #WinterOlympics #Beijing2022

NEW ZEALAND IN COVID-19 NATIONWIDE LOCKDOWN - WE EXPLORE EERILY QUIET WANAKA BY BICYCLE - EP36

Just as we were about to head out on Lake Wanaka to go fishing, New Zealand went into a nationwide Covid-19 lockdown! With fishing prohibited, and exercise the only permitted reason to leave home, we jumped on our bicycles to explore an eerily quiet Wanaka. It's the middle of winter when Wanaka is usually packed with skiers and snowboarders, but today there is hardly anyone outside. We hope to get back fishing for next week's episode as planned, but this will be conditional on the lockdown restrictions being eased. Keep an eye on our social media for more information. We drop new videos every week exploring different parts of New Zealand as we go fishing, hunting, travelling and making the most of any other adventure we find along the way. Make sure you're subscribed to never miss an episode! Sponsors: Origin USA x Jocko Fuel - https://originmaine.com/?ref=FMru_vv5… Use ANGLER10 at checkout for 10% off!
