1° quarto - Fall vince la palla a due e segna il primo canestro. Larkin risponde con una tripla, e la gara è già entrata nel vivo. Cinque punti di Walkup lanciano l'Olympiacos, poi Fall comanda in area su Tibor Pleiss e il 9-5 fa saltare i tifosi dei Reds con 6'12". I greci pressano e l'Efes soffre e il 12-5 di Papanikolaou fa chiamare il timeout di Ataman. Entra Dunston, mette due liberi ma in difesa si piega anche lui a Fall, ma si fa perdonare con una tripla 14-10 al 7'. Arriva anche la tripla velenosa di Larkin, che supera il muro dei 2500 punti in carriera, per il -1. Anche se i Reds non concedono la transizione, Bryant mette la terza tripla consecutiva dei turchi, poi si sblocca Micic e il break è 0-11. Sloukas lo chiude con due liberi a 44" e la tripla di Papanikolau rimette avanti i greci. Ultima palla all'Efes, ma il fallo di Dunston a rimbalzo regala due liberi a Papanikolaou 21-18. 2° quarto - Larkin 2/2 e Martin 1/2 aprono le marcature del secondo quarto. Le due squadre si rincorrono a suon di canestri, poi con 7'35" Martin stacca i Reds 29-24 ma l'uno-due Larkin/Pleiss pareggia a quota 29 al 14'.
