Pakistan vs Afghanistan LIVE : Nabi picks up prized wicket of Azam
Pakistan vs Afghanistan LIVE : Nabi picks up prized wicket of Azam

Pakistan are chasing a 228-run target that would keep their semi-final hopes alive and inflict an eighth straight defeat on Afghanistan. The Green Shirts did not start their innings well, with opener Fakhar Zaman flopping again, this time not even contributing a single run as he was trapped lbw. Babar Azam and Imamul Haq stabilised the ship and just when it seemed they were running away with the match, off-spinner Mohammad Nabi removed both in back-to-back overs. Earlier, Pakistan rode another superb Shaheen Shah Afridi performance to restrict the Afghans to 2279. Afridi struck in his very first over to remove captain Gulbadin Naib and the incoming Hashmatullah Shahidi off two successive deliveries to stem a quick start, after Afghanistan won the toss and opted to bat against Pakistan in the 36th match of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 at Headingley, Leeds on Saturday. The sudden double blows left Afghanistan two down for 27 in the fifth over of the match, which is a must-win encounter for Pakistan if they are to retain a realistic chance of reaching the semi-finals. Imad Wasim removed opener Rahmat Shah for 35 in the 12th over. But a gritty partnership between Asghar Afghan and wicketkeeper Ikram Alikhil steadied the innings, as Afghanistan crossed 100 in the 19th over with seven wickets in hand. Their stand of 64 runs was broken in the 26th over when Shadab Khan bowled out Asghar, whose 42-run attacking knock came to a conclusion. Soon after, Alikhil (24 off 66) followed Asghar back to the pavilion, with Wasim making him his second victim of the day. The sixth wicket was of Mohammad Nabi, who was removed by Wahab Riaz in he 37th over. Najibullah Zadran brought up Afghanistan's 200 in the 45th over with a brilliant square drive off of Afridi. But the southpaw had the last laugh, bowling out Zadran on the very next ball. Afridi picked up another in his next over, while Riaz bowled out Hamid Hassan with a laser-guided yorker. In the end, Afghanistan finished 227-9 in their allotted 50 overs. Afghanistan, appearing in just their second World Cup since their debut in 2015, are playing for pride after losing all seven of their matches so far. Pakistan, unchanged from the most recent game against New Zealand, opted to play Wahab Riaz despite the left-arm pacer injuring his non-bowling hand during training a day ago. Playing XI Pakistan: Fakhar Zaman, Imam-ul-Haq, Babar Azam, Mohammad Hafeez, Haris Sohail, Safraraz Ahmed (c), Imad Wasim, Shadab Khan, Wahab Riaz, Mohammad Amir, Shaheen Afridi Afghanistan: Gulbadin Naib (c), Rahmat Shah, Hashmatullah Shahidi, Asghar Afghan, Mohammad Nabi, Najibullah Zadran, Samiullah Shinwari, Rashid Khan, Ikram Ali Khil, Hamid Hassan, Mujeeb Ur Rahman

Their recent surge in form, with back-to-back wins against South Africa and New Zealand, has brought about interesting prospects in the final leg of the league stage at the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup 2019. They have bounced back strongly from their initial setbacks, much like they did in 1992, and now find themselves in a position identical to the one during their victorious campaign 27 years ago. #CWC19 #England #Australia #WorldCup2019 #Pakistan #Afghanistan #CWC2019 #1992 #Cricketworldcup2019 Opn sports Ptv sports India tv sport cricket, cricket world cup 2019, icc, cricket videos, cwc 2019, cricket highlights, sp:st=cricket, world cup highlights, australia, world cup 2019, sp:ty=high, cwc highlights, sp:li=icc, world cup, england vs australia, england, icc cricket world cup 2019, david warner, cricket world cup, eng vs aus, highlights, england cricket, batting, cricket world cup highlights, who will win, 25/06/2019, #cwc2019, #pakvsaus, today match prediction, preview, prediction, cwc 2019 england vs australia 32nd match, match 32, joe root, world record, england 481, england vs australia 481, 481-6, highest odi score in cricket, odi world record highest score, match 33, #match33, Pakistan. India vs Afghanistan : ICC World Cup 2019 | Full Match, 22nd June 2019

Afghanistan vs India: ICC World Cup 2019 | Full Match Analysis Avinash Singh | Tirthankar Sarkar #WC2019 #INDvsAFG #IndiavsAfghanistan #india #teamIndia After a five-day gap, the Indian cricket team resumes its campaign in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 on Saturday at The Rose Bowl, eyeing easy points against winless Afghanistan. India have been hit by the exit of Shikhar Dhawan from the World Cup and they are without Bhuvneshwar Kumar for at least two games, but are still the favourites in match 28 of the tournament. Vijay Shankar turned up for the pre-match press conference, as good as sign as any that he is fit to play after being hit on the toe by Jasprit Bumrah in the nets on Wednesday. With seven points, India are fourth on the World Cup points table and will expect to move to nine points at The Rose Bowl. Afghanistan have lost all five of their matches, and now face the tournament heavyweights. To be fair to them, the teams they could logically expect to beat given their success against them in the 2018 Asia Cup, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka, lie ahead. Afghanistan fought against Australia in their opening match in Bristol, and despite conceding 397 against England in their previous fixture they were able to bat out 50 overs in reply, scoring 247/8. That is the kind of score they were able to put up in last year’s Asia Cup, to give themselves a chance at winning ODIs. But in England, on flat surfaces at small grounds, they have struggled. A big factor in their 0-5 record at this World Cup is the absence of consistency from their two biggest stars, Mohammad Nabi and Rashid Khan. Their skipper Gulbadin Naib accepted that the level of cricket Afghanistan are capable of playing has not been on show in England, and hoped that a new day brought better performances. افغانستان ولی لوبه بایلوده سوت افریقا ته ؟ Why Afghanistan lost the match to Sout Africa

افغانستان ولی لوبه بایلوده سوت افریقا ته ؟ Why Afghanistan lost the match to Sout Africa South Africa won the toss and decided to bowl against Afghanistan at the Cardiff Wales Stadium, in their World Cup tie today. Batting first, Afghanistan started promisingly, reaching 39-0 with loss. However, with the breaking of the opening partnership and, breaks in play for rain, Afghanistan were then bowled out for just 126 - Rashid Khan (35) top scored for Afghanistan and Imran Tahir 4-29 and Chris Morris 3-13 were the pick of the bowlers for South Africa. In reply, Quinton de Kock (68) and Hashim Amla (41*) batted the Proteas to a comfortable 9 wicket win over Afghanistan. De Kock was out with an opening partnership of 104, leaving Amala and Andile Phehlukwayo to complete the win with just under 20 overs left to bowl. Gulbadin Naib was the only wicket taker for Afghanistan. This was South Africa’s first win of the tournament and will set them nicely for their next match against New Zealand on June 19th at Edgbaston. Match Comment - CSA IMRAN AND PHEHLUKWAYO PUT PROTEAS ON THE WINNING PATH IMRAN TAHIR and Andile Phehlukwayo blew away the Afghanistan innings with a combined four wickets for just one run in the space of 10 balls to put the Standard Bank Proteas on their way to their first victory of the ICC Men’s World Cup at Cardiff on Saturday. The Proteas, having dismissed their opponents for 125 runs in 34.1 overs after winning the toss, cantered to their revised DLS total of 127 for the loss of Quinton de Kock’s wicket, the latter making the top contribution of 68 off 72 balls (8 fours). It was his second half-century of the competition and it was encouraging to see one of South Africa’s key batsmen put some consistent form together. Hashim Amla also got valuable time in the middle (41 off 83 balls, 4 fours) before Phehlukwayo, promoted to No. 3, put the finishing touches to the 9-wicket victory with almost 20 overs to spare. The match had been reduced to 48 overs per side after two rain interruptions took 88 minutes off the available playing time. Fortunately, thereafter the weather remained fine as the Proteas clocked up a much-needed victory and gave their net run rate a boost at the same time. Afghanistan had negotiated their way through the first 20 overs up to the second rain break, reaching 69/2, but everything changed thereafter. Phehlukwayo took a wicket with the fourth ball after play resumed and then Imran got two in his first over of the match, starting with his very first delivery to Noor Ali who was bowled by a perfectly pitched googly. From there, there was no way back as Imran finished with 4/29 and Phehlukwayo with 2/18 before Chris Morris (3/13) cleaned up the tail. South Africa - Quinton de Kock(wk), Hashim Amla, Aiden Markram, Faf du Plessis(c), Rassie van der Dussen, David Miller, Andile Phehlukwayo, Chris Morris, Kagiso Rabada, Imran Tahir, Beuran Hendricks Afghanistan - Hazratullah Zazai, Noor Ali Zadran, Rahmat Shah, Hashmatullah Shahidi, Asghar Afghan, Gulbadin Naib(c), Mohammad Nabi, Ikram Ali Khil(wk), Rashid Khan, Aftab Alam, Hamid Hassan
