BALTIMORE ESCAPES AS THE A’S OFFENSE VANISHES LATE
BALTIMORE ESCAPES AS THE A’S OFFENSE VANISHES LATE

The A’s walked into Baltimore looking for a statement series win and instead left the final game looking like a team that forgot baseball games require more than one run. The pitching? Good enough. Luis Severino battled through traffic all night and kept the Orioles from turning the game into a blowout. The bullpen mostly held the line. But the offense? That thing was trapped in airplane mode from the first inning on. Eleven strikeouts, runners stranded everywhere, and another night where every big at-bat felt like somebody trying to parallel park a cruise ship. Tonight on LAST CALL: A’S POSTGAME, we break down why this loss felt more frustrating than ugly. Tyler Soderstrom kept swinging a dangerous bat, Denzel Clarke-level speed wasn’t walking through that door to save them, and the A’s once again had moments where you could see the outline of a dangerous team… right before they immediately face-planted into a strikeout. We’ll talk Severino’s outing, the brutal missed opportunities in the seventh and eighth innings, the continued offensive inconsistency, and whether this lineup is starting to develop a bad habit of disappearing the second pressure shows up. LIVE tonight at 9:00 on YouTube — because misery loves company, and apparently so do A’s fans. 🎙️ New to streaming or looking to level up? Could Detroit Draft Matias Vanhanen? | Griffins Can Close It Out Tonight!
Could Detroit Draft Matias Vanhanen? | Griffins Can Close It Out Tonight!

The offseason may be here for the Detroit Red Wings, but there’s still plenty happening around the organization and its future. Today’s lead story focuses on Everett Silvertips forward Matias Vanhanen, a draft eligible prospect who is putting together a tremendous WHL playoff run alongside Red Wings prospect Carter Bear. Everett has stormed into the WHL Finals with a dominant 12-1 postseason record, and Vanhanen has been one of the driving forces behind it all. Currently projected around the 55th overall range in the upcoming NHL Draft, Vanhanen could realistically be available when Detroit makes their selection. The chemistry with Carter Bear is already there, and his offensive explosion in the playoffs is turning heads at exactly the right time. Also in today’s quick hits: 🏒 Max Plante and Justin Faulk have been named to the preliminary Team USA roster for the upcoming IIHF World Championship. 🏒 Former Red Wings prospect Theodor Niederbach has signed a one-year deal with the Washington Capitals organization. 🏒 The Grand Rapids Griffins have an opportunity to eliminate the Manitoba Moose tonight in Game 4 of their opening round Calder Cup series. Michael Brandsegg-Nygard and Anton Johansson have brought a level of physicality and intensity that Detroit desperately needs more of moving forward. If you want to watch the Griffins playoff run, I’ll have a FloSports link in the description below! The future of the Red Wings organization continues to take shape, and there are some exciting names worth watching right now. #LGRW #DetroitRedWings #GrandRapidsGriffins #MatiasVanhanen #CarterBear #WHL #NHLDraft #MichaelBrandseggNygard #AntonJohansson #7MinuteWings
