1991 NLCS Game 1 Highlights | Atlanta Braves vs. Pittsburgh Pirates
These are the highlights for Game 1 of the 1991 National League Championship Series. For this year’s matchup for the National League Championship Series, it is the Atlanta Braves going against the Pittsburgh Pirates. The Pittsburgh Pirates, after loosing to the Reds in the 1990 NLCS, are trying to go back to the World Series for the first time since 1979, and they believe they have a good chance to do so this year. The Atlanta Braves, who had a really good comeback season, are trying to go back to the World Series for the first time since 1958. The Pittsburgh Pirates have their ace Doug Drabek on the mound, who has had a really good season with the Pirates with a 15-14 record in the regular season. The Atlanta Braves have their ace Tom Glavine on the mound, who is the potential NL Cy Young Award Candidate, and he had a dominant seasons with the Braves with a 20-11 record in the regular season. In Game 1, these two teams play at Three Rivers Stadium as they are ready to go for Game 1 of the 1991 National League Championship Series.
