Solskjaer will hope that decision pays off and the players given a rest reward him with an energised performance at Old Trafford. With the return of Anthony Martial from injury, and the return to form of Marcus Rashford Man United have shown signs of improvement, but they still sit ninth in the Premier League and will want to put a series of results together to improve on that. The newly promoted side sit 15th in the Premier League table, but with some positive results in December could put some daylight between themselves and the relegation zone heading into 2020. Both managers will want to come out on top in this one, for very different reasons! Ahead of the game there are injury doubts for Manchester United over Scott McTominay and Nemanja Matic. Aston Villa manager Dean Smith will hope that Jota and Engels are ready to return after injury. EURO 2020 Qualifier Scotland 3 Kazakhstan 1 John McGinn goal. After the referee awarded Scotland a freekick on the edge of the 18 yard box, John McGinn stepped up to strike it low and hard past the Kazakhstan goalkeeper with the aid of a deflection of one of the defenders in its flight path. Scotland went on the win after Naismith nodded one home and McGinn grabbed a second late on.
