Narine the bowler has caused Punjab the biggest problems in the past, so Narine the batter won't be their only problem. The spinner's 33 wickets against PBKS match his highest figure against a single IPL opponent. The likes of Andre Russell, Rinku Singh and Ramandeep Singh, too, looked in terrific touch. The indifferent Mitchell Starc, who signed with the Kolkata team for a record Rs 24.75 crore, has been the main topic of discussion from the KKR camp. Starc has taken just six wickets in 25 overs in the IPL 2024, giving up 278 runs at an economy rate of 11.48. He didn't bowl a single delivery in the lead-up to the Punjab Kings game, so it's likely that he will be rested. This season, Shashank Singh and Ashutosh Sharma have been PBKS's regular big contributors; both players and other hitters will be sources of motivation. Punjab lost six of their games in the last over, despite having put up a strong fight in their other games. This is sad for them. The quartet who have yet to consistently perform at the highest level in this year's IPL, Sam Curran, Prabhsimran Singh, Liam Livingstone, and Jitesh Sharma, would be the targets of the visiting team. At the bat, Jitesh in particular has disappointed greatly, scoring just 128 runs at a strike rate of 125.49. His unsatisfactory performance at the bat can also lose him a spot in India's T20 World Cup squad. PBKS are the only team to not concede 200 or more in an innings so far in IPL 2024 but they will be up against the Knights who have smashed 200-plus totals in all the four matches at Eden.
