Auckland Aces v Otago Volts | HIGHLIGHTS | Ford Trophy 2020-21 | Eden Park Outer Oval, Round 3
Michael Rae had the best day of his career with an outstanding record 7-fa at Eden Park Outer Oval. And yet it wasn't enough to get a win as the Volts took their first tumble of the campaign. Rae's 7-35 was just the second instance of a List A seven-for in the team's history and bettered the previous record of 7-49 held by Evan Marshall since 1993/94. The Auckland Aces had started well after having been sent in by Volts captain Nick Kelly, reaching 223 for five with half centuries to both in-form O'Donnell brothers Robbie (52) and Will (62) before Rae revved up again and began his rampage through the rest of the innings.
PROOF That The NY Jets Are Tanking For Trevor Lawrence
After the Monday Night Football game between the New England Patriots and NY Jets, there many peculiar instances where it felt that the Jets were literally tanking in an effort to secure the services of Clemson's quarterback Trevor Lawrence. Currently the Jets sit last place in the NFL with an 0-9 record and are favorites to land the quarterback in the 2021 NFL draft. Kansas City Chiefs vs Buffalo Bills Live Stream And Hanging Out!!
Well this could be explosive. Or, this could be another instance of the Bills easy start to the season catching up to them and further expose them as the same team they were last year: they can beat the bad teams senseless, but can't play with the Big Dogs in the league. The Chiefs are coming off consecutive tough offensive showings, one culminating in a loss to division foe Las Vegas. Both teams need to shake off ugly losses and get their season back on track...WHO YA GOT? Thanks for listening, I Hope you enjoy it. Giannis Antetokounmpo, Bradley Beal, & More) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yPa_aPPuDZU Welcome to Hoopers Nation where we go over the latest NBA 2020 news, from life inside the NBA bubble to the backstories of players in the league. Today, we look at the Miami Heat and what they pulled in the 2020 NBA playoffs. Jimmy Butler came into the NBA bubble and just wrecked havoc with the rest of his team, steamrolling the Giannis and the Bucks and moving past the Pacers with ease. Now Tyler Herro, Duncan Robinson, Erik Spoelstra, and the rest of the crew have stepped up in the Eastern Conference Finals. The Heat beat the Boston Celtics in game 6, advancing to the NBA Finals to face LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers. #HoopersNation #MiamiHeat #NBA It was early December 2019, almost ten months ago, when Jimmy Butler had a sit-down interview with ESPN’s Rachel Nichols. The Heat was firing on all cylinders at that point, as they were undefeated at home throughout the first six weeks of the regular season and everything was going great in South Beach. In a half-jokingly manner, Nichols asked Butler about his team’s chances at making the NBA Finals. “Why not?” Butler answered. “I don’t see why we can’t. As long as we play hard, if we make shots for sure, but we got to be able to say our defense is our anchor.” At that time, Butler – or nobody for that instance – had any idea that a global pandemic would force the league to shut down less than a month before the NBA playoffs started and completely alter the landscape of NBA basketball as we knew it. No more crowds, no more long traveling or nights with little sleep, no more life distractions; the whole focus would be winning and basketball when the NBA resumed its season and held the 2020 playoffs inside the NBA Bubble. Jimmy surprisingly rejected the option he had to bring in family members to the Bubble for the playoffs, saying this is a “business trip.” He wants to be alone, fully focused on what’s ahead for his team. This NBA Bubble is exactly the environment Butler thrives in. And this is exactly the reason why the Heat made everything in their power to get Butler last offseason. The Miami Heat and Jimmy Butler always sounded like a match made in heaven. Butler is a fierce competitor that prides on his great defense and guts to take and make timely and clutch shots; the Heat has long been an organization that has a defensive-first approach and likes to get the job done through team basketball. Miami was in desperate need of a star that could help them take their young core to the next level as they transitioned from the Dwyane Wade era. Butler just wanted a place where he could go compete for a championship, and be himself. “[Dwyane Wade] always told me the culture, the way that they work here, it’s you in every single way,” Butler said. “When I got here I could do nothing but smile, because of the way everyone talks to each other, the way everything is laid out on the table, you come in and work and then we have fun. This is the reason I play the game. These guys are like me in so many ways that I absolutely love being here, to compete with and for these guys. I’m having so much fun.” Butler is indeed having the time of his life in Miami, but it’s widely known he has butted heads with teammates and even coaches in the past for multiple reasons: lack of accountability, little competitiveness, passiveness; the list goes on and on. He infamously beat up the Timberwolves starters with the ‘third stringers’ shortly before being traded away from Minnesota, and chemistry issues prevented the Sixers from reaching their full potential last season. But ask anybody in the Heat’s locker room and they’ll dismiss the notion Butler is disruptive or a ‘locker room cancer’, as many labeled him. "Jimmy, despite probably what the narrative is out there, he's a very likable guy in the locker room and I think that helps in a setting like this,” said Heat head coach Erik Spoelstra after one of their wins over the Bucks. “He is the ultimate competitor,” added teammate Meyers Leonard. “Everybody wondered, ‘Oh, well, is he too competitive? Or is he an a**hole?’ No, he’s not. He’s a winner.” Veteran Andre Iguodala put it best when he said, "He was disruptive toward his other teammates, but you put him around some guys that actually want to get to the grind, what did he do for them?

Day 6 of the seeding game slate includes a handful of contests that will play a key role in identifying the team that will secure the final seed in the Western Conference that is still very much up for grabs. While the Memphis Grizzlies (32-36) are currently occupying the No. 8 position in the conference and aren’t playing today, the Portland Trail Blazers (30-38), Sacramento Kings (28-38) and Phoenix Suns (28-39) are all looking to gain ground with a victory on Tuesday. You can find out which opponents these contenders are squaring off against and their odds to win in the sections below. While some of today’s NBA games are high stakes, there are some matchups on the docket that are not exactly the most meaningful or thrilling. The outcome of Tuesday’s opening contest between the Milwaukee Bucks and Brooklyn Nets, for instance, is not likely to have any tangible impact on the 2020 NBA Playoff picture. The Bucks are cruising to the No. 1 seed in the East and are currently 5.5 games ahead of the next closest competitor with only a handful of contests left to play, while the Nets would have to drop off significantly for the Washington Wizards to even have a chance to usurp the No. 8 seed from them by forcing a play-in tournament. It may make for a boring game on paper, but viewers can spice things up with the ability to wager on a variety of betting lines related to the game. It is certainly unlikely that Brooklyn pulls an upset, but there is a much better chance the club can cover the massive 17-point spread. NBA Scores And Recap – Monday, August 3 Toronto Raptors 107, Miami Heat 103 Denver Nuggets 121, Oklahoma City Thunder 113 (OT) Indiana Pacers 111, Washington Wizards 100 New Orleans Pelicans 109, Memphis Grizzlies 99 Philadelphia 76ers 132, San Antonio Spurs 130 Los Angeles Lakers 116, Utah Jazz 108 An action-packed Monday began when the Raptors rode a 36-point performance from guard Fred VanVleet to victory over the Heat. The Nuggets avoided going 0-2 since the start of seeding games by besting the Thunder in overtime thanks to a clutch, 37-point outing from Michael Porter Jr., the 2018 lottery pick who underwent back surgery and missed all of last season. T.J. Warren guided the Pacers to their second straight victory with a 34-point outing against the Wizards, bringing his total to 87 points since play in the Orlando bubble began. The Pelicans finally got off the schneid by handing the Grizzlies their third consecutive loss of the restarted 2020 NBA season, riding a combined 47 points from stars Brandon Ingram and Zion Williamson to notch the “W”. The 76ers also celebrated their first seeding game win after nearly blowing a 14-point lead in the fourth quarter against the Spurs, but ultimately snuck by in no small part due to Joel Embiid’s 27-point, nine-rebound showing. The Lakers secured the No. 1 seed in the Western Conference with their victory over the Jazz, getting a whopping 42 points from Anthony Davis in the matchup. NBA Schedule, Odds And Predictions – Tuesday, August 4 All times ET, =Nationally televised TNT games will be live streamed via WatchTNT site and app. Every out of market seeding game from the Orlando bubble can be live streamed via purchase of NBA League Pass Brooklyn Nets vs. Milwaukee Bucks Time: 1:30 p.m. TV: NBA TV Price’s Prediction: The Nets are going up an absolute juggernaut in this contest, but laying 17.5 points is simply too many. The Bucks may not want to tax their stars too much knowing they are just a half game away from locking up the East’s top seed for the 2020 NBA Playoffs. Double-digit underdogs have been a profitable play over the last few seasons and this should be no exception. Fade the favorite and watch as this scrappy Brooklyn squad keeps things relatively competitive to score a cover. Dallas Mavericks vs. Sacramento Kings Thanks for watching
