Micah Handlogten might not be a flashy transfer portal name, but he could be EXACTLY the type of player Arkansas basketball needs heading into next season. Handlogten entered the transfer portal after playing a key role for the Florida Gators, including being part of a national championship run. What makes his story even more unique is the fact that he originally planned to redshirt during the 2024-25 season while recovering from a leg injury. However, when Florida suffered frontcourt injuries late in the year, Handlogten made the decision to return in February and help his team make a postseason push. That kind of production translates directly into extra possessions, second-chance points, and winning basketball. At Marshall, Handlogten showed even more upside, averaging 7.6 points, 9.8 rebounds, and 2.3 blocks per game while earning Sun Belt Freshman of the Year honors.
