Neroca FC ready to rock the I-League | Hero I-League | I-League 2017-18
Placed in the Northeastern region of the Nation, yes this is Imphal, the capital of Manipur, and one of the star attractions of the city is it's very own football team. After winning the 2nd division I-League last season, Neroca FC would be playing in the top tier league of the Nation. The brand team from the hills is ready to shock the others after they performed extremely well in the pre season friendlies where they lost 2-1 to ATK and thrashed Sikkim United 5-0. This Manipuri team has also provided opportunities for a lot of local lads to show case their talents. With a bunch a young youngsters the team is also well balanced with experienced players with the likes of Govin and Gourmangi Singh. The two youngsters who are expected to hog most of the limelight are Gopi and Tondonda. Having long desire of the people of the northern Imphal side particularly along the Imphal-Dimapur National Highway No.39 (Now, NH2), the North Eastern Re-Organising Cultural Association (NEROCA), Sangakpham Bazar, Imphal, Manipur was established in 1965 with a good hope to enhance quality of youths especially in the field of cultural activities and sports arena. It was registered under the Manipur State Co-Operative Society Registration Act bearing Registration No. 1016 of 1972. NEROCA is a registered Football Club of Imphal East District Football Association and affiliated to the All Manipur Football Association (AMFA), Mapal Kangjeibung, Imphal. NEROCA participated the Manipur State League (MSL) since the beginning and stood 2nd position in the 2nd MSL, 2007. Again, in the last concluded 9th MSL, 2014, NEROCA got the Championship Trophy.With the Aim & Objective to participate the I-League (2nd Division), 2015-16 and as per norms of the All India Football Federation (AIFF), the nomenclature of NEROCA is changed to NEROCA Football Club Imphal and managed by a Private Limited Company, NEROCA Football Club Pvt. Ltd. bearing Company Identification Number U92412MN2015PTC008432.
