I’m live at Truist Park and even though the scoreboard didn't go our way tonight, the energy is still electric! The first-place Chicago Cubs (27-15) dropped the series opener 5-2 to the Atlanta Braves, struggling to find a rhythm at the plate after a grueling trip through Texas. The highlight of the night? Alex Bregman launched a solo shot in the 4th, providing the spark we needed. But a tough 5th inning and a collective 1-for-28 at the dish left us in a hole we couldn't climb out of. Colin Rea battled through 4.1 innings, but the Braves' power bats like Austin Riley and Mike Yastrzemski managed to find the seats. We’ve seen this story before—the last time this squad dropped three straight, they responded with a legendary 10-game winning streak. With Shota Imanaga on the bump tomorrow and Ian Happ keeping his elite on-base streak alive at 31 games, the "W" flag is ready to fly again! Can the Cubs bounce back and even the series tomorrow? The Los Angeles Dodgers reinstated shortstop Mookie Betts and have him in the lineup for their series opener against the San Francisco Giants. The Dodgers have struggled for offense over the past several weeks, and will hope Betts can provide a boost to their lineup amid their team-wide slump. LA scored three runs or fewer in each of their three games against the Atlanta Braves in their last series, and only won one of them. Roki Sasaki will take the mound for the Dodgers, and the right-hander is surely ready to go after getting some extra rest. The Dodgers listed Sasaki as their probable pitcher for Saturday’s game, but moved him to a Monday start and gave Blake Snell the start instead after his return from the injured list. The rest will hopefully do Sasaki well, as he has struggled through his first handful of starts in 2026. He has a 5.97 ERA after six appearances, striking out 26 batters in 28.2 innings pitched. He has been strong through the first couple of innings of his starts, but tends to run into trouble during his second time through the order. Only one of his 19 earned runs this season has come in the first two innings of a ballgame. Shohei Ohtani will lead off for the Dodgers as their designated hitter and look to break out of the slump he’s been riding, and Betts will bat second in his return to the lineup. First baseman Freddie Freeman makes room for Betts and moves down to the three hole, while right fielder Kyle Tucker bats in the cleanup spot. Catcher Will Smith drops down the lineup to fifth with Betts back in the lineup, and third baseman Max Muncy will bat sixth. Center fielder Andy Pages bats seventh for the Dodgers, followed by left fielder Teoscar Hernandez and second baseman Hyseong Kim. 1. Shohei Ohtani, DH 2. Mookie Betts, SS 3. Freddie Freeman, 1B 4. Kyle Tucker, RF 5. Will Smith, C 6. Max Muncy, 3B 7. Andy Pages, CF 8. Teoscar Hernandez, LF 9. Hyeseong Kim, 2B P. Roki Sasaki, RHP Right-hander Trevor McDonald will start for the Giants, making his second start of the season for San Francisco. He began the season in the minors for the Giants, but came up May 4 for a start against the San Diego Padres, where he threw seven innings of one-run baseball and allowed just two hits. The 25-year-old ranks as their No. 16 prospect, and will look to further solidify himself in their rotation. The first game of the three-game series begins Monday at 7:10 p.m. PT. Rhino Nation — tonight is a SWING game. 🏒🔥 It’s Game 4 of the Stanley Cup Playoffs as the Vegas Golden Knights take on the Anaheim Ducks, with Vegas holding a 2-1 series lead. This is where playoff pressure starts to rise and every shift suddenly feels massive. The Golden Knights have looked sharp through the first three games — structured defensively, opportunistic offensively, and playing with the confidence of a team that knows how to win in the postseason. Vegas now has a chance to put Anaheim in a serious hole with a commanding 3-1 lead before the series shifts again. But the Ducks are desperate tonight. And desperate teams are dangerous teams. Anaheim has shown flashes of speed and physical play throughout the series, and now they’re fighting to avoid falling to the edge of elimination. Expect the Ducks to come out flying early, throwing hits, crashing the net, and trying to feed off the home crowd energy. For Vegas, this is about staying composed and keeping control of the series. A veteran playoff team knows these are the games where momentum can completely swing if you let an opponent hang around. This is playoff hockey at its best: Intensity through the roof Every mistake magnified Every goal feeling enormous Every hit carrying emotion So Rhino Nation — grab the snacks, fire up the drinks, and settle in for another huge night of Stanley Cup playoff action. One team is trying to take full control. The other is fighting to keep its season alive. Game 4. Pressure hockey. Pure chaos incoming. 🏒⚡🔥 #GoldenKnightsVsDucks #StanleyCupPlayoffs #NHLPlayoffs #Game4 #VegasGoldenKnights #AnaheimDucks #PlayoffHockey #NHLLive #HockeyNight #PlayoffIntensity #WesternConference #HockeyFans #LiveHockey #PlayoffSeries #GameDay #HockeyCommunity #StanleyCupChase #NHLAction #MustWatchHockey #ClutchTime #HockeyVibes #MomentumShift #PlayoffBattle #RoadToTheCup #LateNightHockey #HockeyStream #NHL2026 #GameOn #PlayoffEnergy

Jeremy White is joined by Buffalo Sabres beat reporter Paul Hamilton to discuss the Sabres disappointing weekend that leaves them in a 2-1 hole in their second-round series with the Montreal Canadiens. Paul explains why he thinks the lapses in defensive coverage are so out of character and how they need to rectify that. They also discuss the need for the Sabres top players to drag them out of this hole they’re in, and Paul highlights the players' quotes that say the same. #buffalo #sabres #buffalosabres #letsgobuffalo #sabrehood #sabresnews #buffalosabresnews #nhl #hockey #nhlnews #wgr550 #wgr #sports Share, Thumbs Up & Subscribe to WGR 550 for New Content Daily! San Antonio Spurs vs Minnesota Timberwolves Full Game 4 Highlights - May 10, 2026 | NBA Playoffs #nba #highlights #basketball Anthony Edwards had 16 of his 36 points in the fourth quarter to help the Minnesota Timberwolves even their second-round NBA playoff series against the San Antonio Spurs with a 114-109 victory, following the stunning ejection of star Victor Wembanyama early in the second quarter of Game 4 on Sunday. Naz Reid took the fateful elbow to the neck from a frustrated Wembanyama and finished with 15 points and nine rebounds to help the Timberwolves finish strong after some shaky stretches. Harper and Fox each scored 24 points and Stephon Castle added 20 as the Spurs guards unflinchingly took the baton from their 7-foot-4 superstar and turned the rest of the night into a mid-range clinic with an array of pull-up jumpers in and around the paint. After committing six turnovers in a 20-point third quarter, the Wolves found themselves in another eight-point hole early in the fourth following Fox's 3-pointer before delivering another clutch finish. “We have a resilient group of guys. No matter the circumstances, we are going to keep fighting and give everything we have and keep trusting one another,” Gobert said. “Just making the right play. That’s who we are. We might not be always consistent with that, but I feel like when it matters, we raise our level.”
