BACKPACKING BASICS PART ONE
In this episode, I will attempt to talk about Backpacking Basics. I have never really done a series of the essentials of backpacking. I really enjoyed sitting down and talking my passion, backpacking. Keep in mind, this is not a gear review. So, I will not go into the specifications of any of the gear. I will only talk about essential items and possibilities of gear that can be taking on a trip. In PART TWO, I will talk about things that should be considered on the trail, while in the element of the trip. I know that I have missed a lot of things in these two videos. As a result, I will make a PART THREE in this series. PART THREE will solely be based on YOUR COMMENTS to these videos. What did I miss? We had an amazing time backpacking Wallace Falls, near Seattle. For Pam's return to the show I traveled from the Pacific Northwest to Virginia to let Pam take ME on a backpacking trip! The student has become the teacher!! Pam planned this backpacking trip perfectly, but we definitely had some type 2 fun on the second day when we got caught in a serious storm and had to hike for miles in the wind and rain. I found another great trail at Camp AuSable in Grayling, MI! The Beaver Pond Trail! Not well marked and no one had traveled on it in awhile so I had to find my way through it!
