Liam Lawson's having a great year...but Arvid Lindblad's getting the promotion talk. Climb the ladder with me on Patreon: https://patreon.com/lawvs Liam Lawson leads Arvid Lindblad in qualifying, races and points... so why do the seat rumours keep finding HIM? Helmut Marko admitted the verdict on Lawson was built on a mistake, then left the building a week after signing off his final junior. Nobody at Red Bull will say who judges these drivers now...and even then, what DOES Red Bull want these days in terms of a replacement for Max Verstappen?? BREAKING: Liam Lawson demoted! It was reported this morning that Liam Lawson will be replaced by Yuki Tsunoda. Many had speculated that the Liam Lawson Yuki Tsunoda swap would happen for the Japanese GP but it was not confirmed until now when the story was broken before Red Bull could issue a statement. Will we see a Liam Lawson Red Bull press release in the coming hours or will we have to wait until the 2024 Japanese GP to confirm Yuki Tsunoda’s Red Bull debut? In this video, we show you the moments when Max Verstappen drifted during the Brazilian Grand Prix practice laps in 2014 from a different perspective.
Mercedes’ delight at a surprise 1-2 at the Belgian Grand Prix quickly turned to anguish after George Russell was disqualified from a hard-fought win. Mercedes winning a Formula 1 race is no longer the absurd fantasy it was a few months ago but its initial one-two in Spa was still unexpected. The shock value of that was quickly surpassed when the stewards threw winner Russell out of the race just hours after the flag, ensuring team-mate Lewis Hamilton won after all. We explain where Mercedes' pace came from and why Russell was disqualified. 0:00 Two big surprises 0:40 What doomed Russell 3:37 Russell's ludicrous strategy 4:59 McLaren falls just short 6:22 Red Bull's stalled victory bid 8:08 Leclerc was overachieving READ MORE HERE: https://www.the-race.com/formula-1/george-russell-doomed-outlier-belgian-gp-mark-hughes/ Subscribe: http://the-race.com/youtube_subscribe Website: http://the-race.com/ Twitter: @wearetherace Instagram: @wearetherace Facebook: http://facebook.com/wearetherace Podcasts: http://the-race.com/podcasts Thanks for watching - please like, share and comment, please also hit subscribe to show your support so we'll keep doing what we're doing. https://www.the-race.com http://www.twitter.com/wearetherace #F1 #Formula 1#FormulaOne #F12024 #F1BelgianGrandPrix #BelgianGrandPrix #F1BelgianGP #GeorgeRussell #Russell #mercedes #LewisHamilton #Hamilton #f1news #formula1driver #totowolff #f1dsq #russelldisqualified
“Not good enough, too sensitive and also really too slow”. That was Max Verstappen’s damning indictment of the upgraded 2024 Red Bull, during a Hungarian Grand Prix weekend in which he failed to feature in the fight for victory and became embroiled in furious radio exchanges with his own Formula 1 team. Such a crushing defeat never goes down well with someone as ultra-competitive as Verstappen of course, but this happened on an F1 weekend he declared especially important because of the introduction of Red Bull’s biggest upgrade of the season. Verstappen’s frustration has been growing for months, starting long before Oscar Piastri led home McLaren team-mate Lando Norris to take his first grand prix victory. 00:00 Verstappen's Red Bull fury 05:45 What Red Bull changed 07:21 Red Bull's mix and match strategy 08:22 The added pressure of McLaren's rise READ MORE HERE: Subscribe: http://the-race.com/youtube_subscribe Website: http://the-race.com/ Twitter: @wearetherace Instagram: @wearetherace Facebook: http://facebook.com/wearetherace Podcasts: http://the-race.com/podcasts Thanks for watching - please like, share and comment, please also hit subscribe to show your support so we'll keep doing what we're doing. https://www.the-race.com http://www.twitter.com/wearetherace #f1 #formula1 #formulaone #grandprix #f12024 #therace #f1news #redbull #maxverstappen #mclaren #mercedes #lewishamilton #ferrari #hungariangp #hungary #budapest
You don’t normally see an F1 driver punished for someone crashing behind them without any contact - but Fernando Alonso’s driving in the Australian Grand Prix was penalised for exactly that. Alonso was given a 20-second time penalty for the "unusual manoeuvre" that contributed to George Russell's dramatic last lap accident in Melbourne. What initially looked like Russell shunting on his own in Alonso’s dirty air quickly morphed into something more, as it became clear that Alonso had at least lifted off the throttle on his way into the corner. Unsurprisingly this became very divisive very quickly. Was it a brake test? Or was it just classic, ‘wily’ Alonso doing an age-old trick of making the car behind check up - and Russell just got caught out? 0:00 Intro 1:13 What damned Alonso 3:02 Alonso bites back 4:54 But... he's wrong 6:58 Why this penalty? Lewis Hamilton will make a stunning switch to Ferrari for 2025 in one of F1’s biggest driver moves ever. Hamilton only signed a new two-year Mercedes deal last summer, that was meant to cover 2024 and 2025. Which is one of many reasons this is such a big surprise. But it turns out that new contract included a release clause for 2025 that Hamilton has chosen to activate before even driving the 2024 Mercedes in reality. We didn’t see this coming and Mercedes didn’t either, based on the hurried meeting that was held at Brackley on Thursday afternoon to inform staff. 0:00 Hamilton's shock Ferrari move 2:51 Why Ferrari? 4:55 A gut punch for Mercedes 6:32 Who will replace Hamilton? 9:14 The consequences at Ferrari Subscribe: http://the-race.com/youtube_subscribe Website: http://the-race.com/ Twitter: @wearetherace Instagram: @wearetherace Facebook: http://facebook.com/wearetherace Podcasts: http://the-race.com/podcasts Thanks for watching - please like, share and comment, please also hit subscribe to show your support so we'll keep doing what we're doing. https://www.the-race.com http://www.twitter.com/wearetherace #f1 #formulaone #formula1 #lewishamilton #ferrari #mercedes #f12024
