Welcome to the Watch Along of IND vs WI Super 8 Match Live, T20 World Cup | India vs West Indies Live India vs West Indies Live Score, IND vs WI T20 World Cup Live Cricket Score Updates: India's captain, Suryakumar Yadav, won the toss and elected to bowl against the West Indies in their crucial T20 World Cup 2026 Super 8 match in Kolkata on Sunday. The Indian team management, under the leadership of Suryakumar and head coach Gautam Gambhir, has maintained an unchanged playing XI, with star batter Rinku Singh being omitted. With South Africa already secured the top spot in Group 1, India and the West Indies are now competing directly for the second semi-final position. The Shai Hope-led West Indies team has incorporated spin-bowling all-rounder Akeal Hosein into their lineup. Suryakumar Yadav’s India will take on Shai Hope’s West Indies in the final game of the Super 8 in the ongoing T20 World Cup at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata on Sunday. The winner of the game will qualify for the semifinals of the competition. India has thrashed Zimbabwe in their previous game and has come back into some sort of form after losing to South Africa last Sunday in Ahmedabad. The batting has stuck in form again as the power-hitters showed their prowess at Chepauk. Meanwhile, the bowling still needs boxes to tick. The bowling in the middle overs was a bit of concern for the hosts. As per the West Indies, they too have been in fine form in this tournament and have happy memories at this venue in Kolkata, where they managed to win the T20 World Cup. They too have a lot of power in their batting order, but it is the bowling attack that needs a bit of upgradation, as South chasing 178 runs looked in no discomfort in the West Indies’ previous game. Welcome to the Watch ALong of India and Zimbabwe, Super 8 match of world cup 2026 Ind vs Sa T20 World Cup Match 48: India vs. Zimbabwe Weather Update: India will face Zimbabwe in a crucial T20 World Cup Super 8 match in Chennai on Thursday. India's hopes for a semifinal spot have been significantly impacted following their recent loss to South Africa. The Suryakumar Yadav-led team was defeated by the Proteas by 76 runs. Furthermore, West Indies' victory over Zimbabwe has increased the pressure on India, who now need to win both of their remaining matches by substantial margins to secure a place in the top four. Although a loss to Zimbabwe will not eliminate them entirely, it would be a major setback, as India's prospects would then be heavily reliant on other outcomes and their Net Run Rate (NRR). The second ODI is set to take place at the Great Barrier Reef Arena on Friday August 22. South Africa will be without Prenelan Subrayen. Crictalks Live. Who was reported for a suspect bowling action by the ICC following his debut in the first ODI. While off-spinner remains available for selection until testing is conducted the Proteas have opted to leave him out of the XI to shield him from surrounding noise. Spinners ruled the roost in Cairns during the opening match of the ODI series. Keshav Maharaj starred with a five-wicket haul while Adam Zampa was economical and picked a wicket. However Zampa’s on-field demeanour saw him handed a demerit point. If he gets three more such points he will be suspended for either 2 ODIs or 2 T20Is. In the previous game Mitchell Marsh won the toss for the 21st time in Limited. Overs Internationals and for the 21st time he chose to bowl first. Markram and Rickelton got Proteas off to a solid start. The duo added 92 runs for the first wicket. Rickelton fell for 33 but Markram carried on and scored a fine half-century. He fell 18 runs short of his ton. Skipper Temba Bavuma and Matthew Breetzke also scored half-centuries. Tristan Stubbs bagged a silver duck while Dewald Brevis on debut smashed a six first ball but lost wicket on very next delivery. South Africa managed to post 296/8 from their 50 overs. Travis Head was the pick of the bowlers for Australia he finished with figures of 4/57 from 9 overs. Ben Dwarshuis picked up two and Zampa got one wicket. In reply Head and Mitchell Marsh started well for the Aussies. They put on a 60-run opening stand was broken by Subrayen. Keshav Maharaj then ran through the Australian middle order with a five-wicket haul. Two wickets each for Lungi Ngidi and Nandre Burger and one for Subrayen helped the Proteas bowl out Australia for 198 in 40.5 overs. Iqbal Sports Live. Km Punk Live. Can Australia bounce back to keep the series alive? Mark Waugh doesn't hold back generally. But he sounded extra agitated the other night commentary as Australia fell in a heap against Keshav Maharaj in Cairns. He lamented about how some in the Australian middle-order looked like they'd never faced quality left-arm spin before. To be honest you couldn't blame him. It was a pretty inept display of batting albeit on a surface that did grip and turn more than expected. Maharaj kept landing the ball on the perfect length targeting the stumps and one after the other the Aussies got stuck in their crease exposing their pads or their stumps or both. Crictalks. Iqbal Sports. Km Punk. While Marnus Labuschagne could at least claim to have been dismissed off a truly brilliant delivery-not that it gives him any excuse for not making the most of a valuable opportunity to send the selectors a reminder-the others largely surrendered to Maharaj's guile without a fight. Or even a semblance of any intent. If not for captain Mitch Marsh's rearguard efforts Australia might suffered worst home defeat ODI nearly 35 years-ironically when another left-arm spinner Ravi Shastri spun them into submission WACA. This was also the latest in a string of poor results for the defending 50-over champions since start of the year Rarely has an Australian ODI team gone on such a losing spree even if you can cite the constant rotation of players lack of stability with the team for it. With Steve Smith and Glenn Maxwell now retired from the format. Audio Content Disclaimer For This Content This is self-created content and not copied content. This has been a rollicking series with plenty of action across the two matches in Darwin and the two teams arrive in Queensland for the series-decider with the assignment currently standing at 1-1. Iqbal Sports Live. Km Punk Live. Crictalks Live. Named after Australian rules football legend Roy Cazaly the Cazaly's Stadium is all set to host its maiden T20 international while this will be the first international game at the venue since September 2022. A Tim David power show rescued Australia in the series opener. David hammered away 83 runs off just 52 balls to lift the side to a challenging 178 from 75/6. Kwena Maphaka bagged 4/20 Kagiso Rabada finished with 2/29. Iqbal Sports. Km Punk. Senuran Muthusamy returned with an excellent 1/24 as these spells put the Aussies on the back foot for the majority of the innings. Still it didn't keep David under pressure as the big man went hammer and tongs. South Africa struggled in the run chase with Australia bowling tight lines and lengths. Ryan Rickelton scored a decent half-century but he was a bit too late to take the attack to the opposition as his 71 came off 55 balls. Crictalks. Tristan Stubbs supported the keeper-batter but in the end it was a bit too much to do for the visitors as the rest of the batting line-up collapsed big time. Josh Hazlewood and Ben Dwarshuis grabbed three wickets each while Adam Zampa and Glenn Maxwell kept the stranglehold on the Aiden Markram-led side and restricted it to 161/9 helping the Aussies to a 17-run win. The Proteas had to come back in the second T20I but at 57/3. One thought it was just another game that Australia would dominate. It wasn't the case this time. Dewald Brevis stepped up for the touring party playing a career-defining knock and scoring a breathtaking 125* off 56 balls and saw his side post a massive 218/7 after being put into bat first. Hazlewood and Zampa were extremely expensive while Maxwell Dwarshuis continued their good series with the ball and applied a bit of resistance from their end. Australia kept their attacking instinct once again with plenty of batters getting starts and throwing their wickets irrespective of the situation their team was in. David once again came to the rescue and scored a whirlwind half-century but time unlike the first T20I his catch wasn't put down. South Africa kept chipping away and ensured that scoreboard pressure brought about the hosts' downfall as Australia were bundled out for 165 losing the second game by 53 runs. Every bowler chipped in for the Proteas. Corbin Bosch and Maphaka snared three wickets each. Despite latter being expensive the left-arm seamer was effective with his wicket-taking ability. There are a couple of injury concerns Australia heading into the series finale. Matthew Short who was initially said to be missing the first two T20Is due a side injury picked up while training in West Indies hasn't fully recovered and has been ruled out of the series decider. Hardie who the squad as a cover continues to remain in the Aussie camp. Hardie could come straight playing XI as the hosts will miss dashing all-rounder Mitchell Owen's services. Owen was hit on the helmet in second T20I. He has shown delayed symptoms of concussion and as per the protocols the Tasmanian has to be rested for a minimum of 12 days. Josh Inglis who missed the previous game due to the flu is expected to be back in the XI replacing Carey. Iqbal Sports Live. Tim David stole the show with the bat scoring 83 off 52. Australia came out all guns blazing after being asked to bat first by the visitors. Travis Head struggled in his comeback game and perished for 2 off 7. Josh Inglis fell for a golden duck. Skipper Mitchell Marsh also fell cheaply scoring 13 off 7. Cam Green continued his rich form and scored 35 off just 13 balls. He added 40 runs with Tim David for the fourth wicket. After Green's wicket David carried on and smashed. Km Punk Live. The South African bowlers all over the park. He scored a scintillating half-century to take Australia to a sub-par total. Ben Dwarshius (17) and Nathan Ellis (12) chipped in with the bat down the order as well. Kwena Maphaka picked up four wickets for the Proteas. Kagiso Rabada bagged two while Lungi Ngidi George Linde. Crictalks Live. Km Punk. Senuran Muthusamy got one apiece. In reply the Proteas lost their skipper Aiden Markram early in the piece. Lhuan-dre Pretorius and Dewald Brevis both failed to get going. Tristan Stubbs stitched a fine partnership with Ryan Rickelton of 72 runs for the fourth wicket. Stubbs perished for 37 off 27. George Linde then bagged a duck. The lower middle-order was skittled out by Adam Zampa and Hazlewood. Hazlewood and Dwarshuis picked up three wickets each and leg-spinner Adam Zampa bagged two. Glenn Maxwell also chipped in with a wicket to restrict South Africa to 161/9 in 20 overs. Iqbal Sports. Can South Africa bounce back to keep the series alive? When the stakes are HIGH and the margins are THIN every ball is a battle. The 2nd T20I at TIO Stadium Darwin promises nothing less than a fierce duel as Australia look to seal the series after a hard-fought 17-run win in the opener. South Africa meanwhile are staring at a do-or-die situation where one wrong step and the series slips away. Expect no half-measures just an all-out contest where reputations will be tested under the Darwin lights. Australia’s first game was a mixed bag - explosive yet fragile. They stormed through the Powerplay with 71 runs but paid the price with early wickets. Tim David’s counterattacking 83 off 52 balls was the glue that held the innings. Together turning what could have been a modest score into a match-winning 178. Cameron Green’s 13-ball 35 was another spark but the middle order faltered. With the ball Josh Hazlewood and Ben Dwarshuis led the way with three wickets each ensuring that despite South Africa’s late resistance the target remained out of reach. live cricket match. For the Aussies consistency is the keyword as they’ve got the firepower but it’s about firing in sync. For South Africa the script in Darwin began with a wobble and ended with a sigh. Apart from Ryan Rickelton’s patient 71 Stubbs’ 37 the rest struggled to get going. The Powerplay cost them three key wickets leaving too much for the middle and lower order. The bowling had its bright spots especially Kwena Maphaka’s four-fer and Kagiso Rabada’s discipline but lapses in the middle overs allowed Australia to wrest control. In this second match they’ll need more partnerships better shot selection under pressure and sharper execution at the death both with bat and ball. The TIO Stadium pitch has already shown its dual nature where it is good for strokeplay if you survive the new ball but tricky enough to keep bowlers in the game. Also aboard for that trip which lasted from December 1831 to October 1836 was one. Charles Darwin the naturalist whose research and theories would exert an outsized influence on our understanding of the evolution of humankind. Doubtless Darwin if only he had lived to 216 could have given us a detailed theory of the evolution of cricket from the gambling-fuelled mania it was in 19th century England to the global T20-driven industry it is now. Not that gambling has become extinct in cricket. Quite the contrary. Maybe not a lot has changed. Once Australia's men's T20I series against South Africa starts in Darwin on Sunday Australians will hope there is change from their team's five-wicket loss to South Africa in the WTC final at Lord's in June. Silverware starved South Africans are less ready to let that singular success go but Shukri Conrad advised them to do exactly that during a press conference on Friday. I don't think the WTC will have much to do with [the T20I series Conrad said. Whether it does for them I can't answer to that. But we've moved on. And so should all concerned. Conrad's team will play 20 T20Is before the format's World Cup in Sri Lanka and India in February and March when all thoughts of what happened at Lord's in June will be long gone. The Australians who have won six ODI World Cups and one in the T20 format are significantly more used to winning trophies than their opponents. That they have moved on was apparent from their 5-0 thumping of West Indies in a T20I rubber in the Caribbean in June and July. Tim David hammered six fours and 11 sixes in his 37-ball 102 not out in the third match at Basseterre in St Kitts - the tiny ground where Herschelle Gibbs launched Dutch leg spinner. Daan van Bunge for six sixes in an over during the 2007 World Cup. South Africa are fresh from a T20I triseries in Harare where they lost all three games they played against New Zealand. A mitigating factor is that they were without Ryan Rickelton Aiden Markram Tristan Stubbs David Miller Keshav Maharaj Marco Jansen and Kagiso Rabada. Of those players only Miller Maharaj and Jansen are not involved this time. What might Darwin - the scientist not the place - have made of all that? Perhaps more than we might think. What to expect: Who can say? Sunday's game will be the first senior T20I staged at this ground. The pitch is a drop-in which adds to the mystery. What we can say with something like certainty is that the weather shouldn't interrupt play: the forecast is for clear skies and a high of 32 degrees Celsius. Crictalks. Mitchell Marsh has confirmed that he will open the batting with Travis Head which will mark the first time this pair have done so in this format. Aiden Markram and Ryan Rickelton seem set to bat at the top of the order which they have done together in three T20Is. Iqbal Sports Live. Iqbal Sports. Km Punk Live. Km Punk. Crictalks Live. It'll be myself and Heady up the top for the foreseeable future. We've played a lot together and we've got a great relationship so we'll start there. Mitchell Marsh on his brand new opening partnership with Travis Head. It's great having the experienced guys back nice and refreshed as well. You can see they are raring to go. - Shukri Conrad is pleased to have his senior players back after an experimental squad went to the triseries in Zimbabwe. The tour will kickstart with the shortest format. The first T20I of the five-match series will take place at Trent Bridge, Nottingham, on Saturday (June 28). The last time India Women were in England, the visitors claimed a 3-0 series sweep in the 50-over format. During the final ODI at the Lord's, Deepti Sharma famously ran out Charlie Dean at the non-striker's end for backing up too far down the pitch. It made way for a controversy, although it was within the rules. It was the great Indian fast bowler Jhulan Goswami's farewell match as well.
