Asa untuk menjadi juara di piala AFF pun sempat hadir usai Pratama Arhan dan kolega kembali masuk final di gelaran AFF 2020 namun sayang, Thailand kembali menjadi batu sandungan skuat arahan Shin Tae-yong. Asa menjadikan Timnas Indoensia yang tangguh perlahan mulai terlihat seiring lolosnya Indonesia keputaran final Piala Asia 2023, melalui jalur kualifikasi. Optimisme publik pun makin terlihat usai PSSI tengah memproses tiga pemain keturunan Indonesia untuk di naturalisasi. Sementara sektor umur tampil dalam putaran final piala dunia U20 pada 2023 di Indonesia menjadi kesempatan garuda muda menunjukkan kemampuan dan menambah pengalaman bertanding. Terpilih menjadi Ketua Umum PSSI Iwan Bule akan memasuki tahun ketiga. Lo hizo en un apretado sprint compitiendo con Van Aert. Después de una semana en la que se vivió de cerca cómo Vingegaard destronaba a Pogacar, esta jornada, y teniendo en cuenta que el martes comienzan tres etapas clave en los Pirineos, esta jornada fue de transición. La noticia estuvo antes del inicio de la etapa. Primoz Roglic no tomó la salida después de sufrir una caída en anteriores jornadas. Eso, sumado a que estaba a 33 minutos del líder, fue suficiente argumentario para que el ciclista esloveno se retirara de la ronda gala. Ahora, se centrará en prepararse para correr La Vuelta tal y como aseguró hace unos días. Tampoco tomaron la salida, aunque por da positivo en COVID, Simon Clarke y Magnus Cort. Dos corredores fueron protagonista en la fuga de la jornada, a la que no se le auguraba mucho futuro ni final en meta, pero que sí se mantuvieron pese a las altas temperaturas mucho tiempo en cabeza de carrera. Nils Politt y Mikkel Honoré llegaron a ponerse a tres minutos con respecto al pelotón. A 50 kilómetros de meta fueron neutralizados. A 74 kilómetros de meta, y a la cola del pelotón, Owain Doull, de EF Education, sufrió una caída por tropezarse con un botellín lleno en mitad de la calzada. Heridas en codo izquierdo y rodilla. Lo curó el coche médico y a seguir. Lo que no sucede en ningún deporte. Por eso el ciclismo es el deporte más duro. Y kilómetros después de fue al suelo Steven Kruijswijk, al cual se llevaron en ambulancia en mitad de la etapa. Las cámaras no enfocaron en ningún momento el motivo de la caída. Kruijswijk se sumó a Roglic en el abandono de etapa hoy. Dos bajas de golpe y muy sensibles para Jumbo-Visma. Y al cabo de tres kilómetros llegó el buen susto. Se fue a suelo Vingegaard pero se recuperó de inmediato. Prosiguió el pelotón corriendo a 36 grados de media. Se llegó hasta 40. Una barbaridad que pasó factura a algunos, a los que les entró la pájara y se fueron al suelo durante la jornada. En los últimos 30 kilómetros Benjamin Thomas y Alexis Gougeard se escaparon pero nunca llegaron a aumentar 30” su diferencia. Lo cierto es que tuvieron una gran capacidad de resistencia. Primero se descolgó Gougeard y más tarde Thomas, pero lo hizo a tan solo 800 metros de meta. Bravo por él. El final estuvo muy luchado al sprint. Se lo llevó Jasper Philipsen.
