Baroka FC are SAFA 2nd Division champs
Baroka FC wrapped up their promotion to the National First Division (NFD) in style becoming the overall SAFA 2nd Division champions after beating Maluti FET College 2-1 in the final played at Makhulong stadium in Tembisa. Both teams have been promoted to the NFD after winning their respective groups during the week long national play-offs played at Ekurhuleni. It's third time lucky for Baroka who had failed in their previous two attempts to earn promotion and their young coach Sello Chokoe is already looking ahead... Meanwhile Maluti's dream of taking part in the play-offs and eventually earn promotion had been delayed by a season because last year they couldn't make the nationals after losing in the boardroom to neighbours Roses United. The Free State based side was promoted together with Western Cape's Milano Untied. Ramoreboli says the lessons learnt from the past prepared them well...
