HIGHLIGHTS : India vs West Indies 2nd ODI Match HIGHLIGHTS | India won by 44 runs #indvswi #2ndodi #highlights The second one-day match of the three-match ODI series being played between India and West Indies was played at the Narendra Modi Cricket Stadium in Ahmedabad. In this thrilling match, the West Indies team won the toss and decided to bowl first. Team invited to bat first. After that, two veteran opener batsmen of the Indian team came into the field with the intention of raining runs. This time Rishabh Pant, along with Indian captain Rohit Sharma, entered the field to open the Indian innings, but in the last match, Indian captain Rohit Sharma, who batted well in the last match, could not stay in the field for long and he was caught by Kemar Roach in the opening overs. Caught out by the hands. Indian captain Rohit Sharma was able to score just 5 runs in 8 balls. Rohit Sharma's wicket was like a big setback for the Indian team. After losing his captain in the initial overs, Virat Kohli was now the best batsman of the Indian team in the field. The Indian team got two big setbacks in the over. Rishabh Pant got out on the first ball of the 12th over. Rishabh Pant got out after scoring 18 runs in 34 balls. So on the fourth ball of the same over, the Indian team got the biggest blow and Virat Kohli got out. Virat Kohli was also dismissed after scoring 18 runs in 30 balls. From here the Indian team had completely faltered. West Indies bowlers were tightening their grip on the Indian team. But after the fall of these two wickets, Suryakumar Yadav and Lokesh Rahul, who came to bat, did a great job for the Indian team and took over the staggered Indian innings. Suryakumar Yadav and Lokesh Rahul formed a fine and important partnership at a crucial juncture. The duo put on a crucial partnership of about 91 runs. It seemed almost impossible to get these two out. But then in the third over of the innings, Lokesh Rahul, who came close to half-century, was run out for a poor run and a good running partnership was broken. Rahul got out after scoring 49 runs in 48 balls. But despite this, Suryakumar Yadav completed his half-century with excellent batting and got the Indian team crossed the 150 mark. But then Suryakumar Yadav was also caught out in the 39th over of the innings for playing a sweep shot by Fabian Allen. Suryakumar Yadav was able to score 64 runs in 83 balls. But then in the end, thanks to the excellent batting of Deepak Hooda, the Indian team was able to reach the respectable target of 237 runs. After that, chasing the target of 238 runs from the Indian team, two legendary opener batsmen of the West Indies team, Shay Hope and Brendan King entered the field. Both of them had the full responsibility of giving a good start to the West Indies team in this do or die match and both of them started their innings in the best way and made an opening partnership of 32 runs for the West Indies team. But then the famous Krishna, who came to bowl the eighth over of the innings, broke this excellent opening partnership and got Brendan King out caught by Rishabh Pant. Brendan King was dismissed after scoring 18 runs in 20 balls. So immediately after him, the West Indies team got the second blow, the famous Krishna, who came to bowl the tenth over of the innings, got the new batsman Darren Bravo caught by Rishabh Pant. Bravo was dismissed after scoring 1 run in 3 balls. After that, Shay Hope and new batsman Shamar Brooke together handled the West Indies innings for a while. But the partnership of these two also did not last long and the 17th over of the innings. Yuzvendra Chahal, who came to bowl in the set, got Shay Hope caught by Suryakumar Yadav. Shay Hope was dismissed for 27 runs in 54 balls. After these big setbacks, now in this low scoring match, the West Indies team went on the backfoot. Now West Indies captain Nicholas Pooran had come to the field to bat. But Nicholas Pooran also could not stay in the field for long and he was caught out by the famous Krishna at the hands of Rohit Sharma. Pooran was able to score 9 runs in 13 balls and then from here the Indian bowlers started to dominate and revived this almost lost match. Jason Holder was also dismissed immediately after Nicholas Pooran. But after that, Shamar Brooke and Akil Hossain together took over the West Indies innings and started building a small but important partnership. But then a clever decision taken by Rohit Sharma on a crucial occasion again brought a big turn in this match. Rohit Sharma replaced Washington Sundar in the 31st over of the innings with Deepak Hooda on the bowling and Deepak Hooda did his best. Shamar Brooke was dismissed on the fifth ball of the over. Shamar Brooke was dismissed for 44 runs in 64 balls. From here the Indian team's victory was clearly visible but then on a crucial occasion, two West Indies batsmen Shakeel Hossain and Fabian Allen formed an important partnership and again increased the pressure

Jashan e Cricket | PSL 7 | Lahore Qalandars Win | Fakhar Zaman | Peshawar Zalmi | Wahab Riaz | Peshawar Zalmi vs Lahore Qalandars | Shaheen Shah Afridi | Qamar Zaman Kaira | Eshal Fayyaz | Ali Meer | Shahzad Iqbal | 02nd January 2022 KARACHI: Fakhar Zaman and bowlers joined hands to help Lahore Qalandars defeat Peshawar Zalmi by 29 runs in match number nine to push their team to the second spot in the ongoing Pakistan Super League's (PSL) points table. The Qalandars had set a 200-run target for Peshawar after Wahab Riaz opted to bowl first against Lahore. Early in the Peshawar innings, Lahore skipper Shaheen Shah Afridi set the tone for his team by dismissing Zalmi opener Hazratullah Zazai for zero in the third ball of the innings. The loss of the early wicket put Zalmi on the backfoot and regular wickets by Lahore never allowed Peshawar to take control of the game. For Zalmi, Kamran Akmal and Haidar Ali made 41 and 49 runs, respectively, but the team was unable to catch up to the high required run rate. Zaman Khan took three wickets for Lahore, while skipper Shaheen and David Weise took two wickets each. Rashid Khan took a wicket as well. Zalmi ended their 20 overs with 170-9 helping Lahore register a 29-run victory. Peshawar would have been all out in the last over had David Weise's hattrick wicket not overturned by the review. Earlier, Lahore openers Fakhar Zaman and Abdullah Shafique set the tone for Qalandars' batting as they took the Peshawar Zalmi bowlers to the cleaners. Fakhar made his third successive fifty-plus scores by reaching his half-century in the 10th over. However, in the same over, Usman Qadir dismissed Shafique for 41 runs to break the opening stand. Fakhar continued his attack on the Zalmi bowlers before being dismissed by Hussain Talat in the 13th over for 66. By the time the left-hander was dismissed he had given the platform to his team to set up a huge target for Peshawar. In the next few overs, Kamran Ghulam, Mohammad Hafeez, and Rashid Khan’s cameo propelled Lahore to end their innings at 199-4. For Peshawar, Salman Irshad took two wickets while Usman Qadir and Hussain Talat picked one each. Why Max Verstappen Isn’t Worried About Lewis Hamilton’s Superior Pace
Why Max Verstappen Isn’t Worried About Lewis Hamilton’s Superior Pace

Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton took a new ICE in Brazil and he has been unstoppable since, storming from the back of the grid to 5th in the Sprint Qualifying and from 10th to a victory in the race. Some have suggested that this is an ominous sign for Red Bull and Max Verstappen as there are only three races left but Max isn’t too worried as he has now explained during the post-race press conference Link to poll: https://www.youtube.com/post/Ugkxvsv84sSJk3Rhj3xsnFsb9TBxJEJqAmQ8 0:00 - Why Max Verstappen Isn’t Worried About Lewis Hamilton’s Superior Pace 1:26 - Fast Feed I'm your host Dillon Shelley and first up on Formula World: Why Max Verstappen Isn’t Worried About Lewis Hamilton’s Superior Pace Max began by explaining how 2nd was the best he could do in Brazil “I think it was hard racing but good racing and that’s how it should be. I was hoping for a little bit more performance but this result is definitely the maximum we could do” He pointed out how he was defenseless when it came to top speed “Top speed wise it was tough to defend, you can clearly see when they take a fresh engine that it gives them a bit more power” He, however, added that the advantage at the front has been swapping hands between Red Bull and Mercedes throughout the season “It’s been like this the whole year. It went up, comes down, went behind, I’m back in front, so you know a lot of things can happen still” He signed off by explaining why he isn’t worried about the pace shown by Lewis Hamilton in Brazil “Of course, taking the new engine clearly gains them a bit of performance initially – but that will slowly come back to normal. So, yeah, maybe it looks a little bit more dramatic now but I’m confident that slowly that will be a bit more normal” Fast Feed Red Bull’s Sergio Perez has stated that “it was close and it was fun, but I am not here to have fun, I am here to deliver” “I had a great start but then it was very difficult to hold Lewis back, I tried my best to hold onto him but I couldn’t, he was flying!” “Then we were ahead of Bottas by two seconds, we had the position and we had the podium but two laps later the virtual safety car came in. That timing was extremely unlucky for us and it worked perfectly for him” Red Bull team principal Christian Horner has suggested that “to come away with second and fourth today, plus the fastest lap was damage limitation this weekend” “We scored 20 points for Max this weekend versus their 25 for Lewis in the Drivers’ Championship, so we’ll take that. We put up as good a defence as we could”, he added “We’ve got some catching up to do this week. There’s a lot of racing still to go, so we’ll brush ourselves down and come back fighting in Doha”, he summed up Mercedes' team principal Toto Wolff stated that they “started the weekend on the backfoot with [their] self-inflicted engine penalty” “We got disqualified yesterday which was harsh, and then today in the race, things went against us too” “It felt like everything was against us and I think that’s what Lewis has felt all his life and we now feel it together as a team. We’re going to fight – that is the emotion we’re feeling in the garage at the moment” McLaren’s Lando Norris feels that it was “a disappointing day for all of [them] as a team, as well as for [himself]” “I had a really good start and as I tried to come back onto the track there just wasn’t enough room and I ended up getting the puncture”, he added “We could’ve scored some good points. We’ll review it and try to do a better job next time. The fight back through was good, managing to score a point, which is better than nothing”, he summed up AlphaTauri’s Pierre Gasly is “really happy, it’s been a very intense race, but I think we can be pleased with today” “There were some really nice battles, with Daniel and Seb, then at the end of the race with the Alpines. It was so fun to be racing with them, as we don’t often get to do that in F1” “It was of course hard, but today we finished in the best position we could, behind the top three teams, and that’s the most important thing, as we continue our fight” Will Red Bull be able to close the gap to Mercedes in Qatar?
