And it is hosting a big game! Punjab Kings (PBKS) take on Delhi Capitals (DC) in the 64th match of the 16th edition's Indian Premier League. Although DC have already been knocked out of the tournament PBKS have everything to play for. Punjab have two league matches left and it's very important for them to win both at their second home Dharamsala. Team Preview (Punjab Kings): Placed at 8th position PBKS have 12 points from 12 matches winning 6 and losing as many matches. Though they are at the bottom half of the table they can still make it to the playoffs and that depends on the results of the other matches going around and also how they fare in the remaining two games. As in every season the Shikhar Dhawan-led side has been inconsistent in this edition as well. After starting on a good note winning the first two matches one thought of a better outing for the Punjab-based franchise. But once Dhawan was out due to niggle the momentum of the team slowly diminished. The team management has trusted Nathan Ellis more than KG Rabada and the former has stood tall performing brilliantly in the given opportunities. Prabhsimran Singh and Jitesh Sharma have been the trustable Indian domestic core while Livingstone and Sam Curran the overseas stars have been below par. Teams have posted substantial totals and the pitch has assisted stroke-making. Given the batting-friendly nature of the pitch the team winning the toss might opt to bat first aiming to set a commanding total on the board. What to expect: A picturesque setting with the snow-capped Dhauladhar range in the backdrop the HPCA ground is among the most beautiful cricket grounds in the world. But the bare patches on the outfield earlier this year wasn't a great sight and the India-Australia Test had to be shifted out of here because of this. However a scenic ground with lush green grass will welcome the teams as Dharamsala gets set to host its first game in more than a year and also its first IPL game since 2013. Washington Sundar darts this full and down the leg side David Warner goes down and sweeps it over short fine leg for a boundary. Hyderabad have suffered from inconsistency so far. They have had some good moments here and there but haven't managed to get the best out of all the departments at the same time. Aiden Markram will be hoping that his boys put their best foot forward in this one. Harry Brook will be looking to add to his tally of runs but he will need support from others and they need to avoid losing wickets in clumps. They have a good bowling attack with the raw pace of Umran Malik and the swing of Marco Jansen and Bhuvneshwar Kumar. Delhi on the other hand finally managed to get their first win of the season in their last game but they almost made a mess of it in the end. However the win should give them a bit more confidence to express themselves on the field. David Warner has consistently scored runs for them without getting any support except from Axar Patel who has been their best all-round player. They will need a lot more from Mitchell Marsh and Prithvi Shaw while Anrich Nortje has been decent in the bowling department along with Kuldeep Yadav. Bhuvneshwar Kumar draws first blood! Salt goes back for a golden duck. Kumar lands this on a hard length and around off shaping away sharply Philip Salt looks to guide it towards third man but only manages to get a thin outside edge towards the keeper where Heinrich Klaasen pouches it safely. There is a muted appeal for the catch as nobody is sure but up goes the finger and the Hyderabad players are delighted. Delhi lose their first wicket! Marsh greets Marco Jansen with a boundary! Jansen begins with a full delivery on leg Marsh stays there and flicks it over mid-wicket for a boundary. Two in two! This is full again but on the pads Marsh glances it towards the fine leg fence for another boundary. Up and over! Jansen lands this on a good length and around off Mitchell Marsh strides forward a bit and slices it over point for the third boundary of the over. Shot of the match so far! Marco Jansen serves this full and on off Mitchell Marsh leans on to his drive and creams it through covers for four more runs. Marsh is finding the middle of the bat here! However luckily for him the ball goes in the air and wide of mid on for a boundary. T Natarajan strikes! He gets the big man Mitchell Marsh! This is a really good review from Hyderabad. T Natarajan bowls this on a good length around middle and leg nips away a bit Mitchell Marsh looks to work it away but misses and gets hit on the pads. There is a huge appeal for LBW but turned down as it looks like pitching down the leg side. However UltraEdge shows that no bat involved and Ball Tracking indicates three reds. Venkatesh Iyer notched up a tremendous century in the last game and became the second centurion for KKR in IPL. Nitish Rana and Rinku Singh have played some gem of an innings this season. Rahmanullah Gurbaz Andre Russell and Narayan Jagadeesan are due of a good knock. The bowling hasn't been very good from KKR and it has cost them close games. Earlier Tim Southee and now Lockie Ferguson both the Kiwis have been taken to the cleaners by the opposition. The spin trio of Sunil Narine Varun Chakravarthy and Suyash Sharma have been the positive for the side. Currently they have 4 points in 5 matches and are have lost their last two matches. Delhi Capitals Tactics & Match-ups: David Warner has 228 runs this season but it has come at a strike rate of just 116.92. But this could be a fixture where he can look to give that rather unflattering statistic a jump as he strikes at 144.62 against Umesh Yadav at 153.04 against Sunil Narine and at 218.18 against Andre Russell. Umesh however has dismissed him five times in 65 balls. Kolkata Knight Riders Tactics & Match-ups: Suyash Sharma will be licking his lips to bowl at a venue where two opposition wrist spinners - Rashid Khan and Piyush Chawla - have dismantled Delhi Capitals' batting order to set their sides up for wins at this venue. Additionally Umesh KKR's Powerplay option matches up well against Prithvi Shaw having dismissed him twice in 16 balls. What to expect: A chaser's delight as the venue has traditionally been. The surfaces in the two games at the venue have been a bit sticky and had something for the bowlers but eased out as the game progressed. In both those games DC batter first struggled posted par totals (163 and 172) and failed to defend them. Warner will hope the change in fortunes for his team begins at the flip of the coin.
