The Blueprint: From Assets to Banner 18 The Celtics' current starting five all have direct or indirect roots in the assets acquired from Brooklyn. The Foundational Duo (Brown & Tatum): Jaylen Brown: Drafted #3 overall in 2016 using a Brooklyn pick. He eventually became the 2024 NBA Finals MVP. Jayson Tatum: Acquired after Boston won the 2017 Draft Lottery via a Brooklyn pick swap. They traded down from #1 to #3 to select Tatum, who became an All-NBA First Team cornerstone. The Trade Tree Expansion (Holiday, Porziņģis, White): Jrue Holiday: Boston acquired Holiday in 2023 by trading Robert Williams III, who was drafted with the final 2018 Brooklyn pick. Kristaps Porziņģis: Acquired in a three-team deal involving Marcus Smart. While Smart was drafted in 2014, his selection was made possible because the Celtics could prioritize guard depth knowing their future wing positions were secured by upcoming Brooklyn assets. Derrick White: Traded for in 2022 using a package that included Romeo Langford (drafted with a pick from the Kyrie Irving trade, who himself was originally acquired using a Brooklyn asset). Why It Worked While the Nets pursued a short-term "win-now" window with aging stars Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce, the Celtics used the unprotected picks to bypass a traditional "bottom-out" rebuild. By the time the Nets' veterans left just two years later, Brooklyn was at the bottom of the league, and their top-tier lottery picks were flowing directly to a resurgent Boston team.

The hard truth about Amad Diallo that Manchester United fans refuse to accept. We need to stop the bias and look at the actual statistics for the 2025/2026 Premier League season. Everyone is over-glorifying Amad Diallo, treating him like the ultimate star boy under Michael Carrick, but the reality is shocking when you compare him to massive flops like Antony, Jadon Sancho, and Memphis Depay. Amad Diallo has played over 2,000 minutes in the Premier League this season and has only registered 2 goals and 2 assists. That means he is getting a goal contribution roughly every 500 minutes. If we look back at Antony's worst stretches, or Jadon Sancho's 2022/23 season before he was exiled, they actually produced double the goals in fewer minutes. We ran Memphis Depay out of Old Trafford for scoring 2 goals, yet we are giving Amad a free pass because of his "link-up play" and "vibes." As we head into the massive fixture against Liverpool to secure Champions League football after that disastrous 0-0 draw against Sunderland, Manchester United cannot afford to carry passengers. The INEOS rebuild demands ruthlessness, yet we are relying on an average winger who isn't producing the numbers required for a top-level Premier League side. Why is the Manchester United fanbase so protective of Amad? If any other rival team had a winger with 2 goals in 2,000 minutes, we would be laughing at them. It's time to wake up. Are we going to keep pretending he is the answer on the right wing, or are we going to admit he is just Antony 2.0? Drop your thoughts in the comments. Am I being too harsh, or are you guys blinded by the hype? Welcome to theunitedcut. We don't do biased opinions here; we look at the raw data and tell the truth about Manchester United. 🇫🇷 Yssam Moungalla — Scouting Report (AS Monaco | Betclic ELITE) Profile • Position: Wing • Height: 6’6 • Born: 2005 • Team: AS Monaco • League: Betclic ELITE • Archetype: 3-and-D wing / floor-spacing specialist ⸻ 📊 Full Game Performance vs Paris Basketball (EuroLeague Team) 👉 15 PTS — 3 REB — 1 AST — 1 STL — 13 EVAL ⏱ 18 MIN 🎯 Shooting Splits • 2PT: 0/2 • 3PT: 4/8 (50%) • FT: 3/4 (75%) ➡️ High-level shooting performance against elite competition. ⸻ 🧠 Scouting Evaluation 🎯 Elite Floor Spacing (Main Strength) Moungalla completely embraced his role as a perimeter spacer in this matchup. His impact offensively came almost entirely through shooting gravity and off-ball efficiency. 👉 What stood out: * Quick release mechanics * Immediate confidence off the catch * Excellent readiness positioning ➡️ Constantly punished defensive rotations and late closeouts. The ability to get shots off quickly without needing rhythm dribbles is highly valuable for modern spacing systems. ⸻ ⚡ Catch-and-Shoot Profile 👉 4 made threes against a EuroLeague-level opponent is significant. What makes it more interesting: * Shot within flow * Didn’t force offense * Maintained spacing discipline throughout the game ➡️ True catch-and-shoot wing archetype. At 6’6, that type of perimeter efficiency naturally increases long-term role translation. ⸻ 🧩 Off-Ball IQ / Role Understanding One of the strongest aspects of his performance was his understanding of role and offensive structure: * Relocated correctly * Timed movements well * Stayed available as an outlet shooter 👉 Played simple and efficient basketball. This is important because: * Many young wings try to overcreate * Moungalla instead maximized possessions through efficiency and spacing value ➡️ Winning role-player traits. ⸻ 🎮 Offensive Role Projection Right now, most of his offensive value comes from: * Spot-up shooting * Floor spacing * Off-ball movement The self-creation package remains limited at this stage, but the shooting gravity alone creates offensive impact. 👉 Potential next development areas: * Attacking closeouts more consistently * Improving handle under pressure * Expanding secondary creation ability
