1991 NLCS Game 2 Highlights | Atlanta Braves vs. Pittsburgh Pirates
1991 NLCS Game 2 Highlights | Atlanta Braves vs. Pittsburgh Pirates

These are the highlights for game 2 of the 1991 National League Championship Series. After a 5-1 victory for the Pittsburgh Pirates in game 1, the Pirates have taken an early 1-0 lead. The Pirates are trying to win game 2 in order to take a 2-0 advantage, while the Braves are looking forward to get even before this series shifts to Atlanta-Fulton County Stadium for games 3, 4, and 5 if necessary. The Pittsburgh Pirates have Zane Smith on the mound, who has had a very good year with the Pirates with a 16-10 record in the regular season. The Pirates hope to get a strong start from him. The Atlanta Braves have their young 21 year old ace Steve Avery on the mound, who has been spectacular for the Braves with an 18-8 record in the regular season. In game 2, both Zane Smith and Steve Avery face off in a classic pitchers duel. In a close, dramatic, and tense game 2, these two teams play one more game at Three Rivers Stadium before this series shifts to Atlanta-Fulton County Stadium for the next three games.
