In this video, I want to discuss four changes Frank Lampard has to make to save his Chelsea managerial career and It’s a very simple question, then - what should Lampard do? I have some ideas. The Blues boss is under pressure after a run of one win in six games has seen his team slide down the standings. When trying to arrest a slump in form, the solution is often seen as seemingly quite simple if you’re an observer of football. “SCORE MORE GOALS” they might say. “CONCEDE fewer GOALS” they would undoubtedly add as well. Well, yes. Scoring more and conceding less will inevitably lead to better results but is it really that simple for Frank Lampard? Chelsea has lost four of their last six matches in the Premier League and has dropped down the standings to eighth, seven points off the top two having played a game more. The 3-1 reverse to Manchester City has set some alarm bells ringing, with the Blues comprehensively outplayed in the first half as they shipped three goals before the break courtesy of Ilkay Gundogan, Phil Foden and former Blue Kevin De Bruyne. Lampard admitted that it was a chastening experience for his players as they failed to react to the onslaught from Pep Guardiola’s side, playing without a recognised striker and ravaged by Covid-19 yet they still breezed their way to victory in west London. It’s a very simple question, then - what should Lampard do? We have some ideas. Pick players in the form The manager is being loyal to the likes of Timo Werner but the German is quite clearly struggling for confidence in front of goal. He was played through the middle by the manager on Sunday but it still didn’t look like clicking for Werner. Considering Lampard had a much more in-form striker on the bench in Olivier Giroud, who has banged in eight goals in his last eight games in all competitions, it was a surprise the Frenchman didn’t even get off the bench on Sunday, let alone start. Callum Hudson-Odoi was very unlucky not to start either after a decent couple of outings in previous games as Lampard brought back Hakim Ziyech after injury, a move that didn't pay off with the Moroccan understandably looking rusty. Lampard made a couple of errors with his starting eleven on Sunday and in the Premier League especially, it is time to reward those who have been playing well. Get the wingers scoring again Easier said than done, we know, as there isn’t much Lampard can do when his players cross the white line and take to the field. Hudson-Odoi’s goal against Manchester City was the first time a Blues winger has scored since the victory over Leeds, which was seven games ago. That encompasses Ziyech, Pulisic, Werner and Hudson-Odoi who have all played in wide positions since. Ziyech can be excused as he hasn’t played whatsoever through injury but the lack of goals outside of Giroud in recent weeks must be a concern for Lampard. Hudson-Odoi showed signs of life for the wingmen when he scored that very late consolation against City but the others need to find their shooting boots. Pulisic hasn’t scored since the Leeds game and has found the goal just once in the top flight all season. Build around a striker Being thrown in from the start was an error of judgement from Lampard, who should have stuck with Hudson-Odoi. Who knows how much of a difference it would have made, hindsight is a very wonderful thing. Lampard could well be minded to give Ziyech minutes against Morecambe in the FA Cup this weekend to try and get some more miles in the winger’s legs ahead of what is going to be a crucial run of games for the manager. But expecting the Moroccan to be the game-changer he was in the early going of the season is a bit too far-fetched. He needs to be eased back into action before we can see the Ziyech of early 2020/21. What do you think about my solution to the poor form of Chelsea players and Four changes Frank Lampard has to make to save his Chelsea managerial career, please kindly leave your opinion in the comment below. Hakim Ziyech appeared to tell Chelsea team-mate, Timo Werner, he needed to be more clinical in future after the forward missed a late chance against Rennes in the Champions League. The German striker has had a mixed start to life at Stamford Bridge since joining from RB Leipzig over the summer, scoring a very respectable eight goals in 14 games in all competitions but also missing a number of big changes. That continued in France on Tuesday night, with Werner missing from six yards out in the fourth minute of the match, somehow blazing over the bar from close range. He squandered another huge chance late in the match after being played in by Ziyech, firing a tame effort straight at the Rennes goalkeeper – though fortunately, Olivier Giroud was on hand to spare his blushes and dispatch the rebound with a powerful header. Ziyech did not appear best pleased with Werner, though, and before Giroud’s follow-up effort had hit the back of the net he could be seen screaming and gesticulating at his profligate team-mate. Despite Chelsea grabbing their dramatic late winner, Ziyech did not forget the miss and as all the players celebrated in a huddle around Giroud, the Moroccan took the opportunity to speak to Werner. Ziyech is actually such an influential character already, he has very high standards, look at this clip, he knows Werner needs to put those chances away but reassured him and Timo even says sorry, I’m loving the team chemistry. He appeared to tell him that he cannot spurn such golden opportunities, with Werner acknowledging he could have done better with his effort and offering a brief apology. Manager Frank Lampard has zero concerns about Werner and has been happy with his performances so far, saying: ‘I don’t know, he’s scored a lot of goals already and he’s adapting to a new league. ‘The chance today, Timo wants to score that but the ball’s bobbling as it comes along and I know myself that those finishes look a lot easier from afar than they always are. I think it’s just normal that a player of Timo’s quality and where he is that he’s going to get even better because he’s a top-class player. ‘I’ve been really happy with him since he’s got here. He’s feeling his team-mates and his team-mates are feeling him, hence he’s getting in positions to score in every game. So more goals will come as a progression from that.’ Please subscribe, like, share and comment. Thanks for watching. https://youtu.be/3eT7WeJcFVc

Chelsea Were PERFECT! Is This Lampard's "Antonio Conte 3-4-3" Moment? | Burnley 0-3 Chelsea
Chelsea Were PERFECT! Is This Lampard's "Antonio Conte 3-4-3" Moment? | Burnley 0-3 Chelsea

Hakim Ziyech, Kurt Zouma and Timo Werner were on the scoresheet in a comfortable win for Frank Lampard's men at Turf Moor. Hakim Ziyech scored one and set another up on his full Premier League debut as Chelsea eased past Burnley 3-0 at Turf Moor. The Moroccan scored on his first start for the club in midweek, a 4-0 romp at FC Krasnodar, and impressed again against the Clarets. Ziyech opened the scoring with a fine drive in the first half as Frank Lampard’s men swarmed all over the hosts, before the £38million signing from Ajax provided the assist for Timo Werner when Chelsea rounded off the scoring later on. In between Kurt Zouma powered home a Mason Mount corner to make it 2-0. A third win of the season propelled Chelsea into the top four, temporarily at least. But Burnley remain anchored at the wrong end of the table. Chelsea were forced into a hasty change of personnel just before kick-off, Christian Pulisic pulling up in the warm-ups. Werner was duly promoted from bench duty, with a second goalkeeper, youngster Karlo Ziger, added to the replacements. Pulisic had scored a hat-trick on his previous visit here almost exactly a year ago, but the visitors had no shortage of attacking talent at their disposal, with Tammy Abraham back to lead the line with Werner and Ziyech either side while Kai Havertz and Mount pushed up from midfield. Al Sadd football players appreciate health workers in unique way
Al Sadd football players appreciate health workers in unique way

Al Sadd football players appreciate health workers in unique way To show their appreciation for the frontline medical staff who have worked tirelessly to keep us all safe and well in Qatar, Al Sadd lined up for their match against Al Khor in white doctor's jackets . Al Sadd helped by a brace from Qatar international Akram Afif defeated Al Khor 2-1 in Week 18 of the 2019-20 season QNB Stars League at the Al Sadd Stadium on Saturday, while in the second match leaders Duhail SC were held to one-all draw by Umm Salal. Al Sadd, the reigning champions QSL moved to 35 points with their 11th victory. Afif, the 2019 AFC Player of the Year struck in the 25th and 45+2 minutes. On the other hand, Al Khor, whose only goal was scored by Tiago Bezerra in the 27th minute, stood on 14 points following their 10th defeat. Yet, Al Sadd’s chances of retaining the title are remote as they are eight points adrift of leaders Al Duhail. Meanwhile, Al Khor still stare at relegation as only Al Shahania are behind them in the rankings. Al Sadd had beaten Al Khor by an identical margin in their first-leg match. Al Sadd enjoyed 59 per cent possession after both halves. The Wolves surged ahead as a result of the culmination of a move that originated from Baghdad Bounedjah. Akram was then fed through a backheeled pass by Abdulaziz Al Ansari and the former made no mistake in beating Al Khor goalkeeper Baba Djibril. Al Khor struck back in no time as Tiago capitalised on a momentary lapse by the Al Sadd defenders in judging the flight of an oncoming through pass and the Brazilian found the target past goalkeeper Saad Al Dossari. What turned out to be the winning goal was scored by Akram off a free-kick taken by Nam Tae-Hee as the first half drew to a close. The match failed to produce any other goal despite the efforts by Al Sadd’s Pedro Miguel, Boualem Khoukhi, Nam and Bounedjah, and Al Khor’s Ahmed Hammoudan and Lucca Borges. Al Sadd had Al Dossari to thank for as he saved a penalty kick taken by Tiago in the dying moments of the game (90+3), referee Hamad Al Subaie awarding it when Al Dossari brought down Tiago in the area. At the Al Janoub Stadium, Al Duhail dropped two crucial points in their bid to win the league, which resumed after a long break forced by the coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic. After a barren first half, Al Duhail opened the scoring through Almoez Ali in the 49th minute (penalty), a lead that was neutralised by Umm Salal through Ayyoub Azzi in the 52nd minute. Al Duhail now have 43 points (13 wins, four draws and one defeat), while Umm Salal earned a lifeline in their bid to stay in the First Division. They have 15 points from three victories, six draws and nine defeats. Al Duhail had beaten Umm Salal 1-0 in the first leg of 2019-20 QNB Stars League, so it was an improved performance by the latter who have improved under Moroccan Aziz Ben Askar, himself their former defender. Al Duhail, coached by Ben Askar’s countryman Walid Regragui, dominated possession (60 per cent), but Umm Salal put up a spirited fight right throughout. The closest Al Duhail came to scoring in the first half was in the 21st minute when Han Kwang-Song’s rising shot hit against the left upright after Umm Salal goalkeeper Baba Malick failed to get his hand on to the swerving ball. Han then sent his shot over and Yousef Msakni had his shot deflected wide by the rival defence. At the other end, Umm Salal’s Walid Mesloub failed to find the target with his free-kick from the left. Almoez took Al Duhail ahead not long after the resumption of play by converting a penalty, which was awarded when Abdulrahman Mohammed’s shot was handled by Umm Salal’s Omar Yahya. Umm Salal soon drew parity as Ayoub Azzi headed in Mesloub’s corner from the left, beating the challenge of Sultan Al Breik. Al Duhail’s Almoez headed over and Umm Salal’s Mahmoud Al Mawas’ placing shot was saved by goalkeeper Mohammed Al Bakri as both sides settled for a draw.
