German media heap praise on "invincible" Thomas Tuchel after masterminding Chelsea success Back in Tookel's homeland, the media are hailing his early achievements in England with a ten-game unbeaten start to life at Chelsea Thomas is earning plenty of plaudits in England after steering Chelsea to a ten-match unbeaten run since taking over as head coach from Frank Lampard six weeks ago. The Blues have won eight and drawn two in all competitions since the former PSG coach was parachuted in to save Chelsea’s season with the team floundering in eight places and having lost five of their final eight games under Lampard’s watch. Words such as “brave” and “masterclass” were used in the wake of expertly setting his Chelsea side up to beat Liverpool 1-0 on Thursday night, condemning fellow German boss Jurgen Klopp to a fifth straight home loss for the reigning Premier League champions. Mason Mount’s goal five minutes before the break was enough to be the difference between the two sides. Liverpool didn’t register a shot on target until the 85th minute when Edouard Mendy claimed Gini Wijnaldum’s tame header. Not only on these shores is Tookel getting high praise but he is also getting it back in his homeland. German daily paper BILD led their coverage of the all-German manager clash with “The Invincible One” as Tookel made it ten matches unbeaten. BILD's report was not so favourable for Liverpool’s boss, saying in its report: Klopp's mega-crisis continues after the horror start of the year with eight (!) losses in 2021.” The literal translation of Mason Mount’s winner is quite apt when describing the goalscorer: “Then in the 42nd minute, Kanté sends Chelsea jewel Mason Mount over to the left, who pulls past Fabinho and Alexander-Arnold into the middle and hits the far post for a 1-0 winner.” BILD then goes on to describe Tuchel’s “well-organized defence” as the key component in their victory at Anfield. German outlet BILD described Tookel as "The Invincible One" after Chelsea's 1-0 win over Liverpool The German head coach is not one to get carried away with things despite steering the Blues back to the top four having been sitting in ninth place when he took over. Chelsea has conceded just two goals in the team games that Tookel has been in charge of, only one of them has been from an opposition player as the other was Antonio Rudiger’s own goal away at Sheffield United. Tuchel has now masterminded victories over Jose Mourinho, Diego Simeone and Jurgen Klopp - the managerial heavyweights in Europe - since he replaced Lampard in west London in late January. "We don't think this way [thinking of the top four]. We were already in the top four after the win against Newcastle. We cannot lose focus by looking at the fixtures all the time because it does not help. The only thing that helps, even though it may be boring, is to prepare for the matches at the highest level because this league does not allow you to drop one per cent. "If you want to have results, if you want to keep going then we have to focus towards Everton and nothing else. It is like that. There are still 11 games to go, there are a lot of games to go and nothing is decided. "We are in the race and we closed the gap very very quickly which took a big effort. Now we are in the middle of the race and we need to keep ongoing. "This league, the competition in the Champions League and the FA Cup is what drives us. It gives us no time to lay back and become too relaxed. I have a hungry group. I myself am hungry and we are not finished." please subscribe, like, share and feel free to comment... Lebron vs Obama clip Although this was said as a joke, we all pretty much knew that this is the plan. To be as rested as possible, so that James can once again perform at the highest level when it matters the most. In the playoffs. Davis helps carry the load and the Lakers easily go through the season. Sounds like a great plan. However all of that went out the window when AD got injured as James is all of a sudden playing heavy minutes and exhausting himself at 36 years of age- just to keep the Lakers competitive in the west. And they’re paying the price for it. Let me explain. What up everybody my name is Stefan and this is Heat Check. Let’s get into it. The guys in purple in gold have now dropped 3 straight games. If we can somehow justify the two against the Brooklyn Nets, and the Miami Heat, then this last one against the Washington Wizards in which they had a 17 point lead at one point is definitely a surprise. But should it be? LA looked lost at times when Lebron was on the bench or wasn’t directly involved in the offensive possessions. So that forced the coach Frank Vogel to play him 43 minutes. And in the last 9 games he’s played 4 games over 40 minutes. This is a huge workload for a player at this stage of his career, even considering that we’re talking about Superman himself. Check out this staggering impact that Anthony Davis’s injury had on Lebron. When the brow is playing- James ranks 50th in the league in minutes per game. However with him sidelined the king is #1 in the league in that category. And again, all that just to try to have this team be competitive, although as of late, even that isn’t helping them much. There are times where you can clearly see him being impacted by it whether in game, and he even laid on the video board during a time out to try and rest up a little. Against the Wizards James gave everything he had on this drive to tie the game scoring through contact. And he had the win in his hands pretty much with a free throw with less than 10 seconds to go. Buuut the fatigue caught up to him and he missed it. Leaving us to watch more drama in the overtime period. Anyway, after the game Lebron was explicit in denying the fact that he’s tired, or that he needs rest, or that the team is in trouble. But is he right about it? The fact of the matter is that the Lakers are already on a 3 game losing streak, with their next 3 games being against the hottest team in the league in Utah Jazz, then they play Dame Lillard and the Blazers, and to top it off, a game against Steph Curry and the Warriors. So things are definitely not gonna get any easier for this team. Anthony Davis will be sidelined for a longer period of time. He was originally given a 2-3 week timetable, but after re-evaluating him, the prognosis indicate that he’ll definitely miss more than that. And Dennis Schroder will be out for at least the first of these 3 games as he’s in the contact tracing protocol so if he continues to test negative, the quickest he could be back is against the Blazers, meaning that they’ll miss him on the perimeter against an explosive guy like Donovan Mitchell. And this game against Utah is more important than it seems at first sight. Let me explain why. If you look at the standings right now, the Jazz have a comfortable lead in front of the 2 LA teams, and that gap could get even wider with a win on Wednesday. And you may already asume where I’m going with this. Although there is still a lot to play in this season, if Utah manages to keep the top spot in the West, that means that there will most likely be a second round showdown between the Lakers and the Clippers. Which is of course yet another complication for them, in addition to the injuries and the overall up and down season so far. Sure, barring a meltdown like the Clippers had last year, Lebron and company would need to go through them to go to the finals anyway, but it would be much easier if they had 2 quick playoff rounds like they had in the bubble when they went 4-1 in each round on their way to the conference finals. So yeah, it remains to be seen how long the brow will be absent from the court, and if the Lakers try to adjust Lebron’s minutes in order to preserve him for the playoffs, even if that means losing a few more games, and being a lower seed. There’s also talk about getting Demarcus Cousins. Who knows. Let me know what do you think about this whole situation and what will happen at the end. That’s it for now, subscribe and talk to you in the next one. Peace out.

CHELSEA NEWS: Jorginho SCORES | Thomas Tuchel Masterclass | Tottenham 0-1 Chelsea Review Review Written by Peter Thompson - https://www.mykhel.com/football/chelsea-overcome-tottenham-premier-league-jorginho-penalty-london-derby-report-160787.html Thomas Tuchel masterminded a richly deserved victory in his first London derby as dominant Chelsea beat Tottenham 1-0 to move above them in the Premier League. Jose Mourinho could only watch on in the driving rain at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium as his former club bossed lackluster Spurs, who slipped to a third consecutive defeat. Jorginho's first-half penalty made it seven points from three matches without conceding a goal for Chelsea under Tuchel, lifting them into sixth place. Toothless Tottenham was outclassed and fortunate not to suffer a more emphatic loss as they slipped down to eighth following another lackluster performance. Timo Werner almost got Chelsea off to a dream start when he nodded a long ball from Cesar Azpilicueta just wide in the first minute. The Blues knocked the ball about with a swagger and deservedly took the lead 24 minutes in, Jorginho finding the bottom-right corner of Hugo Lloris' net from the spot after Eric Dier had tripped the lively Werner. Andreas Christensen replaced the injured Thiago Silva as Tuchel's side continued to dominate, although Serge Aurier wasted a chance to equalize late in the first half when he headed Son Heung-min's free-kick wide. Spurs showed more urgency after the break, pressing Chelsea higher up the pitch, albeit Callum Hudson-Odoi could have doubled the lead when he drilled wide of the far post. Aurier produced a brilliant last-ditch tackle to prevent Werner from ending his Premier League goal drought as the Germany striker was about to pull the trigger after being set up by Mason Mount. Lloris bravely punched away a dangerous cross with Christian Pulisic waiting to pounce and Mateo Kovacic poked a shot wide with Chelsea firmly in command. The excellent Mount was denied by a fine reflex save by Lloris as Spurs were opened up all too easily again before Edouard Mendy was finally called into action, palming away Erik Lamela's shot with just over 10 minutes to go. Carlos Vinicius should have made Chelsea pay for their profligacy, but he headed wide from close range late in his first league start as Gareth Bale was an unused substitute for the hosts. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Follow me on all Social Media below: Twitter - @TOSOTC_CFC - https://twitter.com/TOSOTC_CFC Facebook - https://www.facebook.com/cfcTOSOTC/?v... We finally have our NBA finals matchup. The Heat vs the Lakers. And even tho both teams know that to win a championship you have to be ready against anybody, I have a feeling that if you gave truth serum to Lebron James and the Lakers, all of them will tell you that they wanted Boston in the finals, and not Miami. Let me explain why that is, and why this could be a great finals series. What up everybody my name is Stefan and this is Heat Check. Let’s get into it. I could tell you all about how the Lakers won the 2 regular season games, but in reality their last meeting was in December. Almost a year ago. Since then obviously we saw Duncan Robinson and Tyler Herro grow right before our eyes into knockdown shooters. And Bam Adebayo took the next step and is hitting his stride with the latest performance of career high 32 points, and 14 rebounds in the close out game 6 against the Celtics. So yeah, let’s talk about what we can expect from this finals matchup. Throughout the playoffs, The Lakers have averaged almost 41 points per game on 71% from the restricted area. These numbers are by far the best for any team in the postseason. So you know that they’ll be doing the damage inside. Thing is, instead of Daniel Theis trying to hold on for dear life against Anthony Davis, the Heat have Bam who is far more dangerous both defensively with his strength and quickness but infinitely more on offense as I previously mentioned his numbers and there is no comparison on that end between him and Theis. Miami can also rely on their zone and force the Lakers into making shots. All of a sudden, players like Danny Green, Kuzma and KCP become very important. And we’ve seen the first 2 struggle at times, so if the zone got the Heat past Boston- a way better suited team against this type of defense, then I’m sure that Erik Spoelstra’s group believes that they can win against LA. It’s also going to be fun seeing Lebron matched up against Iguodala yet again in the finals. And there’s gonna be help from guys like Crowder and Jimmy Butler. It’s interesting, It’s almost as if the Heat built this team knowing that they’ll go to the finals and battle against James. Anyway, I also wanted to point out that perimeter defenders like playoff Rondo and Carusso will absolutely hound Tyler Herro, in the minutes when he fills in for Dragic at point guard. He’s been the Heat’s designated backup point guard, but that’s not his natural position and you could see throughout the Celtics series. Herro struggled with his ball handling against dogs like Brown and Smart, so you already know that a mastermind like Rondo already took notes and will attack him on defense. So look for that it’s going to be a fun Tom and Jerry type of chasing. If you ask me to tell you who won without watching the game I will look at 2 stats. Points in the paint and 3 point shooting. If there’s a big difference, I’ll know that either the Lakers overpowered Miami and scored inside so they won, or the Heat shot the ball as they are capable of with the snipers that they have, so they were able to get a win. Of course, a lot more is in play but these are just some things for you to watch out for. All in all, trust me when I tell you this is going to be a hard fought battle, with both teams having a lot of talent but a lot of dogs as I said, and they will go all out in the pursuit for the championship. Ya boy is bullish on the Heat. I picked them against the Bucks, so I’m picking them again against the Lakers, knowing full well that they are the clear underdog here. But if you said this to Jimmy Butler and company there’s no way they agree, so they’re not backing down in this fight. Let me know in the comments who you got in the finals and why. That’s it for now, subscribe and talk to you in the next one. Peace out.
