Vegas Golden Knights empty netter against the Anaheim Ducks
Yes, you’ve heard that correctly. Another VGK Playoff game to(k)night. This time, instead of the VGK playing in T-Mobile Arena AKA “The Fortress” every game, they went to travel to Anaheim for Game 3 and Game 4. The empty net goal was absolutely amazing! Brett Howden put it in to make a 6-2 game. Like after the empty netter, Ducks fans weren’t even happy about the empty netter, so they ended up leaving the arena with all VGK fans stay in the arena to watch and listen to the final buzzer. Game 4 will be held on Sunday, May 10. During the game, Mitch Marner, got his first playoff career hat trick for the Knights. I also remember him getting a hat trick back in the regular season when the Knights were playing the Calgary Flames and ended up beating Calgary 6-3. 6-2 was the final score tonight. It was super amazing! BTW, I’m not sure if people know this or not, but I’ll tell you about which hockey team would play at home first. In the playoffs, the higher-seeded team (the team with the better regular-season record). So back in Game 1 of Round 2, the Knights played at home first.

Michelle Chatfield, Nora Abromavage, and Rachel Castine each hit a solo home run, and Kylie Aldridge hit a 2-run home run in the seventh inning. ACC Freshman of the Year Bree Carrico pitched 5.2 innings of scoreless softball, giving up just three hits while striking out four. Emma Mazzarone came in to the game in relief and got the final four outs of the game. Virginia Tech will take on top-seeded Florida State in the championship game. Despite losing both the first two games at home, the Spanish side bounced back with two straight wins in Greece to bring the playoff series back to Valencia. Following a morale-boosting victory in Game 3, the visitors hit the ground running, with Jean Montero netting 10 first-quarter points for a 15-26 lead after 10 minutes. Valencia maintained a double-digit advantage until the closing stages of the second quarter, when Cedi Osman bagged 10 straight points that cut the deficit to 37-44 at halftime and shifted the momentum. A tight third quarter saw both defenses up their game before Nunn took over with 8 points in a row for Panathinaikos’s first lead in the last two games, 51-50. Yet, Valencia fought back and took a 56-60 edge into the fourth, where the two teams engaged in a trade of blows that saw the hosts struggle to find their range from deep and the guests protect a narrow advantage to seal a third consecutive victory in Athens this season. Montero pulled off an extraordinary outing, recording 29 points, 7 rebounds, as many assists and 4 steals. Osman paced Panathinaikos with 26 points and Nunn added 19 in a losing effort.
