INCREDIBLE SCENES! | TURKEY 4-2 NEDERLANDS | BURAK YILMAZ HAT-TRICK / CALHANOGLU / KLASSEN DE JONG Huge upset as Turkey smash 4 past the Netherlands to earn all three points in the first World Cup Qualifier match. A sublime hat-trick from Burak Yilmaz will steal the headlines with an open play goal, penalty and free kick. Hakan Calhanoglu picked up a goal as well. Two goals in a minute from Klassen and Frankie de Jong gave them hope. This is my reaction to the game. Not really a game recap episode that I had in mind. However I still felt an episode was warranted to at least conclude the 2019-20 WHL Regular Season for the Calgary Hitmen four games early. See the link why the WHL has decided to conclude the season when they did. It's unknown if or when the WHL Playoffs will start and with the eventual Memorial Cup Champion crowned in Kelowna, British Columbia at this point. With the WHL Standings and remaining games left for the Calgary Hitmen. It wasn't going to change things too much or if any team outside looking in would of had a shot of making the playoffs. Still with the fate of the 2019-20 WHL Regular Season now known it was at least a nice way to put a bow on the season and also like last season. I've posted all the player stats for everyone that played at least a game for the Calgary Hitmen which this past season was their 25th Anniversary Season. It's too bad with recent events that it ended the way it did but hopefully there's going to be playoffs at some point. Regular Season Games Still Remaining Before Conclusion: Game 65: Saturday, March 14th - Calgary Hitmen @ Red Deer Rebels Westerner Park Centrium 7pm Game 66: Sunday, March 15th - Red Deer Rebels @ Calgary Hitmen Scotiabank Saddledome 2pm Game 67: Friday, March 20th - Calgary Hitmen @ Swift Current Broncos Innovation Credit Union i-plex 7pm Game 68: Sunday, March 22nd - Swift Current Broncos @ Calgary Hitmen Scotiabank Saddledome 2pm https://hitmenhockey.com/article/western-hockey-league-announces-conclusion-of-regular-season (Originally accessed Friday, March 20th, 2020) Calgary Hitmen finish the season with a 34-24-4-1 record for 75 points. Puts them 4th in the Central Division, 1st in Eastern Conference Wild Card and 11th overall in the Western Hockey League (WHL). They would draw the Prince Albert Raiders in the first round of the 2020 WHL Playoffs under current format as the lower seed. May be a little bit of an easier opponent but more travel required. I would assuming possibly employing a 2-3-2 format. Prince Albert would host games 1 and 2. Calgary to host games 3, 4 and 5 with Prince Alberta hosting games 6 and 7. Final player stats for the 2019-20 Calgary Hitmen regular season. It will be played in Delhi's Ferozeshah Kotla Stadium. If the team, led by Shreyas Iyer, wins this match and intends to make a place in the play-off, then there is a lot of pressure on this match on 'Virat Senna', the lowest run in the IPL Point Table. If Royal Challenge Bangalore loses in this match, then the IPL will end its journey. Delhi Capitals are third in 11 matches with seven points from Chennai Super Kings (16) and Mumbai Indians (14). At the same time, winning the captain Virat Kohli's Royal Challenger Bangalore, Delhi will qualify for the playoffs, which will make him 16 points. However, Bangalore has achieved the rhythm in the last few games and its players will not want to lose it in any way, which can be a bit difficult for the hosts. Bangalore is currently in the 11th position with eight points from four wins.
