The Titans have been the most consistent side in the tournament having won six of their seven group games. They had all their bases covered in the crucial junctures of the game and managed to win their semi-final clash against the Dolphins quite comprehensively by 6 wickets and with 35 balls remaining. On the other hand. the Boland Rocks haven't been at their best in the competition but still managed to go through to the final. They managed to scrape through to the last four courtesy four wins out of seven but they were quite astounding in the semi-final clash beating the Western Province by 7 wickets (11 balls remaining). They finished on number 4 position in the points table. Peter Malan has been the run-away match-winner for them with the bat so far as he scored 297 runs in 8 innings. In the semi-finals, they beat the Western Province by 7 wickets to make their way into the final. They bowled really well in that game and restricted the Western Province on the score of 118. A huge opening partnership between the Malan brothers assured the spot in the final.

Die Champions League wird sich bald verändern. Ab 2024 gibt's den "Schweizer Modus"; statt 4er Gruppen wird die Vorrunde mit einer klassischen Tabelle stattfinden. Wie der Modus im Detail funktioniert, erkläre ich im Video. Viel Kritik muss die UEFA aufgrund der neuen Champions League einstecken. Vor allem der Fakt, dass Top-Klubs wie Borussia Dortmund und der FC Liverpool trotz einer schlechteren Liga-Platzierung an der Champions League teilnehmen könnten, sorgt für Ärger. Zusätzlich sorgen die Einnahmen der UEFA dafür, dass die Top-Klubs immer reicher werden... und der Abstand zu den übrigen Klubs immer größer wird. Die Folge: Die nationalen Ligen (Bundesliga, Serie A, La Liga etc.) werden langweilig, da eine Zwei-Klassen-Gesellschaft entsteht. Ich finde: Die UEFA muss handeln.
