And it is hosting a big game! Punjab Kings (PBKS) take on Delhi Capitals (DC) in the 64th match of the 16th edition's Indian Premier League. Although DC have already been knocked out of the tournament PBKS have everything to play for. Punjab have two league matches left and it's very important for them to win both at their second home Dharamsala. Team Preview (Punjab Kings): Placed at 8th position PBKS have 12 points from 12 matches winning 6 and losing as many matches. Though they are at the bottom half of the table they can still make it to the playoffs and that depends on the results of the other matches going around and also how they fare in the remaining two games. As in every season the Shikhar Dhawan-led side has been inconsistent in this edition as well. After starting on a good note winning the first two matches one thought of a better outing for the Punjab-based franchise. But once Dhawan was out due to niggle the momentum of the team slowly diminished. The team management has trusted Nathan Ellis more than KG Rabada and the former has stood tall performing brilliantly in the given opportunities. Prabhsimran Singh and Jitesh Sharma have been the trustable Indian domestic core while Livingstone and Sam Curran the overseas stars have been below par. Let's see who are the ones will take PBKS over the line! Team Preview (Delhi Capitals): The David Warner-led side is already out of the playoff race. They will be playing for pride and they have a great opportunity to drown other team's chances of qualification. Let's have a look at what DC have done this season! Playing 12 matches the Delhi-based franchise has won only 4 matches and lost 8 of them. With just 8 points in their kitty DC are glued to the last position. Other than skipper Warner Axar Patel and Kuldeep Yadav DC found it difficult to get consistent performers and hence the downfall no surprises. Mitchell Marsh Phil Salt Ishant Sharma and Anrich Nortje have been good in patches. Nortje flew back home and missed out on a few matches recently but he is back now in the Delhi camp. Coming off a poor batting performance against the same counterparts back in the reverse fixture DC will be eyeing a revenge spoiling Punjab King's party! Pitch Report: The HPCA Stadium in Dharamsala is known for its batting-friendly surface offering a good balance between pace and bounce. The pitch typically favors stroke play and batters can expect even bounce allowing them to play their shots confidently. The outfield is generally quick which helps the ball travel to the boundaries. Teams have posted substantial totals and the pitch has assisted stroke-making. Given the batting-friendly nature of the pitch the team winning the toss might opt to bat first aiming to set a commanding total on the board. What to expect: A picturesque setting with the snow-capped Dhauladhar range in the backdrop the HPCA ground is among the most beautiful cricket grounds in the world. But the bare patches on the outfield earlier this year wasn't a great sight and the India-Australia Test had to be shifted out of here because of this. However a scenic ground with lush green grass will welcome the teams as Dharamsala gets set to host its first game in more than a year and also its first IPL game since 2013. The weather is expected to be pleasant with temperatures in the mid-20s. Audio Content Disclaimer For This Content This is self-created content and not copied content. They chased down a score of over 200 in the last game but this is not Wankhede and it is not that easy to chase here. They still need to back themselves though and let's see how they go about their business against the likes of Arshdeep Singh and Nathan Ellis who are brilliant in the death. Mumbai well they were again very poor in the death overs. They got an early wicket of Prabhsimran Singh in the Powerplay and then their two spinners Piyush Chawla and Kumar Kartikeya bowled well in the middle overs. Chawla got two wickets as well but once he was done with his spell the duo of Jitesh and Livingstone just exploded. Jofra Archer Mumbai's premier bowler was hammered all over the park as he ended with 56 runs in his four overs. Akash Madhwal though showed signs of being a good death bowler but overall it has been another disappointing performance from Mumbai bowlers. The home team Punjab lost Prabhsimran Singh early but Dhawan batted with intent although Matthew Short failed to get going at the other end. Dhawan was outfoxed by Chawla though and Short also could not last longer. However that turned out to be a blessing in disguise for Punjab as Jitesh walked out with his usual swagger. He had Livingstone alongside him and both smashed Mumbai bowlers all over the park with Jofra Archer too not spared. Both of them stayed unbeaten and stitched together a stand of 119 off 53 balls as Livingstone scored 82 off 42 balls and Jitesh Sharma ended with 49 off 27 balls to take Punjab to a mammoth total here. Punjab go into the break with a big smile on their face. Their powerful batting line-up has once again shown its supremacy against a relatively inexperienced Mumbai bowling attack. Absolute carnage in the death overs again and they have smashed 69 runs in the last five overs. They have reached a very good score now and Mumbai would need to bat well to chase down another 200-plus total. Rohit Sharma departs without troubling scorers and Mumbai are off to the worst possible start! Rishi Dhawan bowls this on a length and wide outside the off pole. Rohit Sharma reaches for this and looks to go over the off side field but slices this towards third man. Matthew Short runs along the boundary and takes a well-judged catch to his left. Rishi looks absolutely thrilled with this and so are his teammates. A beauty from Rishi Dhawan and he cuts Cameron Green into half with this in-swinger! This is bowled on a good length and in line with the stumps. Cameron Green pushes at the line of the ball and gets beaten on the inside edge. The ball just misses the leg pole. Green gets his first boundary and that is some power! Arshdeep Singh bowls this full and in line with the stumps. Cameron Green lofts this straight towards long on for four runs. Ishan has timed this nicely! Arshdeep Singh bowls this full and outside the off pole. Ishan cuts this late towards deep backward point for four runs. Good delivery and well-negotiated by Ishan! Arshdeep bowls this back of a length and into the batter form outside off. Ishan Kishan sways back and gets the bat onto the ball. It goes over the short third man fielder for four more runs. Green gets enough bat on this to send it flying to the fence! Curran bowls this short and wide outside the off pole. Green slashes at this hard and gets this off the thickish outside edge towards third man for four runs. When Green hits this ball it stays hit! Curran has been far too short and serves this outside off. Green pulls this towards deep mid-wicket for four runs. IPL 2023 Live: Chennai Super Kings vs Punjab Kings Live | CSK vs PBKS Live Scores & Commentary

IPL 2023 Match 41 Chennai Super Kings vs Punjab Kings Live This Match Will be Played at MA Chidambaram Stadium Chennai on 30th April 2023 This Match Will Start at 3.30pm From Indian Standard time. CSK vs PBKS IPL 2023 Match 41 Live Commentary By Sports Updates by Chandan. Follow us on Social Media. Facebook: https://m.facebook.com/Sports-Updates-by-Chandan-108054670939374/?ref=bookmarks YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCr2IiLqoVoqWHdyWW_inRkg YouTube 1: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCdEtpnaEyqVJ3p5Xm3OqMEg Twitter: https://twitter.com/techindia251995?s=09 Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/chandan_singh1/ Telegram: https://t.me/sportsupdatesbychandan The Punjab Kings' campaign in the ongoing season has been a mixed bag with four wins and as many losses from eight matches played. The team is currently placed in the sixth position in the points table having accumulated eight points with a net run rate of -0.510. PBKS boasts a potent bowling attack with Arshdeep Singh and Rahul Chahar forming a formidable partnership while the return of Kagiso Rabada from injury is expected to bolster their firepower. Furthermore the emergence of Sam Curran as a reliable all-rounder has brought much-needed balance to the PBKS squad owing to his consistent contributions across departments. For the game against CSK Harpreet Brar will come in place of Gurnoor Singh Brar. The bowling attack went for a plenty in the last match against LSG and will be low on confidence. In terms of batting the Punjab Kings' top-order consisting of Shikhar Dhawan Prabhsimran Singh and Atharva Taide have been the mainstay of their scoring. The young Taide has shown glimpses of his potential and is expected to bat at number three. However the middle-order comprising Liam Livingstone Sikandar Raza and Sam Curran needs to step up and provide support to Jitesh Sharma and Shahrukh Khan. CSK under the leadership of the legendary MS Dhoni has made a strong start to their IPL 2023 campaign winning five out of eight matches with just three defeats. The team currently holds the fourth position on the table with a commendable net run rate of 0.376 and ten points to their name. The batting department of the team has been a breath of fresh air with the likes of Devon Conway Ajinkya Rahane Ruturaj Gaikwad and Shivam Dube in scintillating form. Although the team has plenty of depth in their batting all-rounders Moeen Ali and Ravindra Jadeja have not been able to consistently perform with the bat. The bowling unit has also shown improvement with Tushar Deshpande being the standout performer with 14 wickets to his name albeit being a bit expensive. Matheesha Pathirana has been the go-to bowler for skipper Dhoni in the slog overs while Akash Singh has primarily been used during the power play. The spin duo of Ravindra Jadeja and Maheesh Theekshana has been nothing short of brilliant. This Sunday the iconic M.A Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai will witness a clash of titans as the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) take on the Punjab Kings (PBKS) in an eagerly awaited showdown. This marks the solitary encounter between the two teams this season with each side having competed in eight games thus far. The CSK have displayed their mettle with five magnificent triumphs while the PBKS have emerged victorious four times. After facing disappointing losses in their previous games both teams will be striving to seize the initiative and reignite their winning streaks. Overall CSK and PBKS have clashed in 28 matches with the former having the upper hand over the latter by a 16-12 margin. Chennai Super Kings CSK are expected to stick with the same side. Ben Stokes and Deepak Chahar are still not ready. Punjab Kings Sikandar Raza is expected to hold onto his spot with his bowling expected to come in handy. Harpreet Brar wasn't in the XI last time but is expected to return on Sunday. What to expect: This will be the first day game of the season in Chennai and as a result both captains won't have to worry about dew. CSK generally prefer chasing but batting first is definitely not a bad idea if the teams are presented with a slowish track. The game could be interrupted by a bit of rain at noon but the forecast isn't threatening enough. Audio Content Disclaimer For This Content This is self-created content and not copied content. Both teams have had a break of six days before this game and are currently level on four wins each. Punjab have done a great job to be in this position despite some key players missing. Their last couple of victories haven't come because of one or two players. Instead different names have stepped up with the bat in the absence of Shikhar Dhawan while the bowling has largely been brilliant throughout - the highlight being that over from Arshdeep Singh at the Wankhede. How good was that! And how much better can Punjab do if Dhawan and Rabada were to return now! Some unbelievable strikes and continuous power hitting from Kyle Mayers Ayush Badoni Marcus Stoinis and Nicholas Pooran have helped the LSG side to post the highest total this season. Only the second time 250+ total have been put by a team in the history of the IPL! Earlier in the evening Shikhar Dhawan won the toss and invited LSG to bat first. Kyle Mayers was going all guns blazing and added 41 runs for the first wicket in no time alongside KL Rahul. The latter was playing second fiddle to Mayers but showed intent by lofting Kagiso Rabada on his first ball for a six. But the South African pacer had the last laugh on the LSG skipper and dismissed Rahul on the next delivery. Mayers continued his onslaught and hammered his fourth fifty of the season. Ayush Badoni was promoted to number three and batted freely. Mayers and Badoni added 33 runs for the second wicket. Mayers (54 off 24) too was taken care of by Rabada in the last ball of the powerplay. LSG smoked 74 runs in the first six and lost both the openers. Badoni and Marcus Stoinis took off and smashed the bowling side to all parts of the ground stitching 89 runs for the third wicket. Following this Stoinis and Nicholas Pooran took the scoring rate up exponentially and blistered 76 runs for the fourth wicket. PBKS bowlers had no answers to this and ended up flat on the ground. While Badoni scored 43 off 24 balls Stoinis slammed 74 off 40 balls. Pooran was out in the final over but before getting trapped infront the West Indian clubbed 45 off just 17 balls as LSG posted 257/5 in the 20 overs. Punjab Kings (Playing XI): Atharva Taide Shikhar Dhawan(c) Sikandar Raza Liam Livingstone Sam Curran Jitesh Sharma(w) Shahrukh Khan Kagiso Rabada Rahul Chahar Gurnoor Brar Arshdeep Singh. Punjab Kings Subs: Prabhsimran Singh Mohit Rathee Rishi Dhawan Matthew Short Harpreet Brar. Lucknow Super Giants (Playing XI): KL Rahul(c) Kyle Mayers Deepak Hooda Marcus Stoinis Krunal Pandya Nicholas Pooran(w) Ayush Badoni Naveen-ul-Haq Ravi Bishnoi Avesh Khan Yash Thakur. Lucknow Super Giants Subs: Krishnappa Gowtham Daniel Sams Prerak Mankad Amit Mishra Mark Wood. Ayush Badoni (LSG): "I feel really good. I was waiting for this opportunity for so long and I finally got it today so really happy I could contribute. When I came on I realized that the wicket is very good and I can bat for long and I was just told to play my shots and put away the old balls. We were not thinking too much about the total but to put away the bad balls and put away the bad balls." Audio Content Disclaimer For This Content This is self-created content and not copied content. IPL 2023 Match 18 Punjab Kings vs Gujarat Titans Live Scores This Match Will be Played at Punjab Cricket Association IS Bindra Stadium Mohali on 13th April 2023 This Match Will Start at 7.30pm From Indian Standard time. PBKS vs GT IPL 2023 Match 18 Live Commentary By Sports Updates by Chandan. Follow us on Social Media. They will want their top-order batters to set a nice platform and put them in a position from where their finishers can take over. Punjab still need to believe that they are in this game and they have a fighting total on the board. They will need to come out with positive intent and look for wickets early to set the tone for their game. Will they be able to pull off a remarkable defense? Or will this be a walk in the park for the reigning champions? Punjab got off to the worst possible start losing Prabhsimran Singh on the second delivery of the inning off the bowling of Mohammad Shami and Joshua Little dismissed Punjab's inform skipper Shikhar Dhawan inside the Powerplay. Matthew Short played a good counter-attacking cameo scoring 36 runs in 24 balls but was dismissed by a magical delivery from the magician Rashid Khan. Bhanuka Rajapaksa and Jitesh Sharma looked to rebuild the innings but lowered the scoring rate in the process and could not convert their starts. Sam Curran and Shahrukh Khan also added 20-run scores but in the end they ill feel they are well short of a commanding total. This has been a struggle for Punjab as they were never able to get any sort of momentum but a late charge has helped them cross the 150-run mark. A score of 153 should be under-par on a good batting surface and Gujarat will be silently confident of overcoming this target. This has been an outstanding bowling performance by the reigning champions as all the bowlers contributed with wickets. Mohit Sharma was by far the pick of the bowlers on his debut taking 2 wickets for 18 runs in his four overs while the other four chipped in with one each. They were good in the field as well as they kept it really tight and never allowed the opposition to get away with the scoring rate. What a sublime way to get off the mark! Fuller and outside off shaping away this time Shubman Gill plants his front foot forward and just caresses it in between mid off and extra cover for a boundary. That is a shot and a half! A touch fuller and around off stumps at 145.4 clicks Wriddhiman Saha punches it on the up and the ball speeds through wide mid off for a boundary. In this IPL Arshdeep Singh has leaked runs at an economy of 10.9 when he has bowled full in the powerplay (26.2%). However as he pulls his length back the economy is better. Excellent timing and Gujarat are flying now! Good length on the pads and at 146.3 clicks Shubman Gill gets his hands in front of his pads and gently pushes it in front of mid-wicket for a boundary. Fuller in length and outside off take pace off as well. Wriddhiman Saha goes through with the drive and pierces the gap at extra cover to find the fence yet again. Just over! Arshdeep Singh comes from around the wicket and angles in another fuller delivery into middle and leg. Wriddhiman Saha plays a checked-drive and gets it just over Sam Curran at mid on. The ball speeds away into the fence. A bit streaky but that will be the third boundary of the over and there are still two deliveries left. Another bumper from around the wicket and over the stumps. Wriddhiman Saha tries to take it on but gets a top edge that flies one-bounce over the fine leg fence for a boundary. Wriddhiman Saha is simply toying with the field now and 18 runs off the over already! Full and wide Saha reaches out and squeezes it in between short third man and backward point for a boundary. #iqbalsports #livecricket #indvsnz India vs New Zealand 3rd T20 Live Score & Commentary | IND vs NZ 3rd T20 Live Score | IND vs NZ Live For Business queries mail us: info.iqbalsports@gmail.com Preview: While the pitch in Ranchi left Hardik Pandya "surprised", the India captain was "shocked" by what was on offer in Lucknow. And when the talk is largely about the playing surface ahead of a series decider, especially with India's proud record of 12 undefeated home series on the line, something's got to give. Ahmedabad, the venue for the third and final T20I between India and New Zealand, has had its fair share of debate around pitches in the past. And the last thing both teams would want is another tricky T20 surface that sees Lockie Ferguson bowl as many overs as Mark Chapman; or Deepak Hooda twice as many as Yuzvendra Chahal. Pitch aside, India will know that there's work to be done, especially with a young side that's trying to ready itself for 2024. After a breezy ODI whitewash, the T20I rubber hasn't been as easy for the hosts. While the death bowling cost them in Ranchi, their batting was under the scanner two days later; India got past a target of 100 with only a ball to spare. But the challenging conditions stole the thunder away, hardly allowing the team to assess their progress. For example, Arshdeep Singh bowled the 20th over again after copping some heat in the first T20I, but that he was up against a team limping at 94/8 hardly lent credibility to his five-run last over. For New Zealand, this is a great opportunity. They are without a host of their frontline players like Trent Boult, Kane Williamson and Tim Southee, and are in with a shot to beat India in a T20I series at home - the bragging rights for which has belonged only to Australia and West Indies in the last eight years. For Mitchell Santner's team, that will be a great shot in the arm and expect the side to mount a good challenge for the hosts, pitch permitting of course.
