The Northern Irishman double bogeyed the last after finding the water to record a 70 and sit a shot off the lead. ► SUBSCRIBE: http://et.golf/Subscribe The 2021 Race to Dubai comes to an end at this week’s DP World Tour Championship, Dubai. With the chance to win the final European Tour event and the opportunity for some players to end the year as European Number One, there's plenty to play for this week. While any of the players in the 53-man field can end the week as DP World Tour Champion, only six can finish the season as European Number One. Race to Dubai leader Collin Morikawa is aiming to be the first American to claim the title. He tops the standings courtesy of winning The Open and the WGC - Workday Championship, as well as a couple of other top-8 performances in majors this year. Billy Horschel, who captured the BMW PGA Championship at Wentworth in September, is also in the running to become the first American to win the Race to Dubai and will do so with a victory at Jumeirah Golf Estates. Tyrrell Hatton memorably captured a record-breaking fifth Rolex Series title in Abu Dhabi at the start of the year. He heads to Dubai requiring all 2,000 points and Morikawa and Horschel to finish worse than a three-way tie for third and second, respectively. Other players also in the running are Min Woo Lee, Matt Fitzpatrick and Paul Casey. It’s all to play for... ► WEBSITE: http://www.europeantour.com ► FACEBOOK: https://www.facebook.com/TheEuropeanTour ► TWITTER https://twitter.com/EuropeanTour ► INSTAGRAM https://instagram.com/europeantour

Austin FC has been waiting for its third home win. On Saturday night at Q2 Stadium against the Portland Timbers, Josh Wolff’s team got it, winning 3-1 thanks to three first-half goals. Cecilio Domínguez, Diego Fagundez and Sebastián Driussi all scored to lead Austin to its fifth win this season. Domínguez got it going early for Austin after several forays forward by the Verde & Black in the opening minutes. The forward was in open space 1v1 with Timbers defender Josecarlos Van Rankin in the seventh minute and managed to beat the right back, forcing a foul inside the box. It was not called initially by referee Guido Gonzales Jr., but the penalty was eventually given after Video Review. The Paraguayan coolly finished the penalty into the bottom right corner for his fifth goal of the season as ATXFC took a lead in the 11th minute. He played a part in Austin’s second goal just three minutes later. After receiving the ball from Diego Fagundez, Domínguez played right back Nick Lima forward into open space. The right back hit a perfect cross that found the head of a streaking Fagundez and the midfielder left no doubt, finishing in the top corner. Austin’s third goal came in the 29th minute thanks to some beautiful play in the final third. Sebastián Driussi found a pocket in between Portland’s lines and fed Alex Ring the ball at the top of the box after a dummy from Domínguez. Ring played a wide open Jon Gallagher, but the Irishman’s shot was cleared off the line. Luckily, Fagundez picked up the rebound on the endline and played it back to Driussi, who finished off the play he started to score his first with Austin FC. Austin continued the onslaught for the rest of the half but took the 3-0 lead into halftime. Both teams came out firing to start the second half, but Portland got one goal back in the 55th minute after winning the ball in Austin’s half. Dairon Asprilla fired a shot from outside the box that found its way into the back of the net. Portland continued to push to get back in the match, but Brad Stuver came up big -- including a beautiful diving save low to his left to deny Yimmi Chara in the 60th minute. After that, with the help of the substitute Jhohan Romaña, Austin was able to lock down the Timbers attack and cruise to a 3-1 win.

George North helped spark a second-half blitz from Wales that saw them come from behind to defeat 14-man Ireland 21-16 in Cardiff. Peter O’Mahony made unwanted history by becoming the first Irishman to be sent off in the Guinness Six Nations when he made contact with the head of Tomas Francis trying to clear out a ruck on 13 minutes, giving referee Wayne Barnes no option but to brandish a red card. Yet Ireland responded positively to going down to 14 men with Tadhg Beirne crossing for a try that their first-half play deserved for a 13-6 half-time lead. But North’s scintillating try ten minutes into the second half turned the tide back in Wales’s favour, with Louis Rees-Zammit then dotting down on his first Guinness Six Nations appearance to give the hosts a lead they never surrendered. Chapters: 0:00 McGregor 4:03 Poirier 7:39 The way back 10:47 Rematch The rematch between Conor McGregor (22-4) and Dustin Poirier (26-6, 1 NC) is official for January 23, 2020 at the Flash Forum on Yas Island in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. Poirier and McGregor had their first fight at UFC 178 in 2014 where McGregor won by first-round knockout. This rematch initially came about in September when the two tried to set up the bout for charity, until the promotion offered them an official match. Since their first meeting at UFC 178, both Poirier and McGregor have realized UFC gold. Mcgregor dethroned the featherweight king Jose Aldo in 2015, and the lightweight champion Eddie Alvarez in 2016. McGregor relinquished both titles before attempting to defend them. After leaving the sport for almost two years to box Floyd Mayweather Jr., the irishman returned to take on the lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov at UFC 229. The russian submitted McGregor in the forth round with a neck crank and added another win to his perfect record. The only fight McGregor has had after this was against Donald Cerrone at UFC 246 earlier this year. This was a near perfect performance by McGregor as he violently finished Cerrone only 40 seconds into the first round. After Dustin Poirier's loss to Conor McGregor in 2014, he has fought 13 times and has established himself as a legend and future hall of famer in the sport. Poirier managed to win the interim lightweight after beating Max Holloway at UFC 236 in 2019. He then went on to lose the unification bout to the lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov at UFC 242 the same year. At UFC Vegas 4 in June, Poirier came back strong by beating Dan Hooker after a five round war. On Jan. 23 we head back to Fight Island for UFC 257, but Dustin Poirier and McGregor will not be fighting for any gold. It is still unclear what Khabib Nurmagomedov ultimately decides to do moving forward. After his most recent successfull title defense against the former interim champion Justin Gaethje (UFC 254), he announced his retirement right after the fight. However Dana white is not in a rush of putting the lightweight title up for grabs yet. Like, share and subscribe for more.

Was a really entertaining game and the impressive Irishman Kelleher made his EPL debut for the reds.
