HIGHLIGHTS | Tottenham vs Arsenal (1-0) | Ben White makes his debut
HIGHLIGHTS | Tottenham vs Arsenal (1-0) | Ben White makes his debut

Our final match of pre-season ended in defeat as we were beaten on the road by Tottenham in the Mind Series on Sunday afternoon. With the start of the new campaign less than a week away, there was much intrigue about our starting XI and what it would say about how we plan to line up at Brentford. Mikel Arteta named a strong side for this derby clash with Ben White making his first start for us and Albert Sambi Lokonga named in midfield. The new signings both impressed during a tight first half, Lokonga neat and tidy in midfield with a controlled performance that belied his years, while White didn’t put a foot wrong at the back and always looked ready to push forward out of the backline. We saw a lot of the ball during the opening 45 minutes, with Alex Lacazette going closest for us with a shot from the edge of the area that kissed the outside of the post. But it was the hosts who had the two best opportunities of the first half, with Bernd Leno denying Son Heung-min with a brilliant, brave save early on, before Dele Alli struck the woodwork from close range just before the interval. The Tottenham midfielder repeated the trick, this time from even closer range, just before the hour mark after meeting a free kick at the far post, while Sergio Reguilon fizzed another shot just wide moments later. The home side eventually scored the only goal of the game when Son fired in from close range, and while we had half chances for Balogun and Bukayo Saka before the end, we couldn’t find a way back into the game. #arsenal #benwhite Enjoy match highlights, training and behind the scenes to get closer to the likes of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Vivianne Miedema, Nicolas Pepe, Alexandre Lacazette, Leah Williamson, Bernd Leno, Willian, Hector Bellerin, Jordan Nobbs, Bukayo Saka, Kim Little, Gabriel Martinelli, Thomas Partey and more. HIGHLIGHTS | Arsenal vs Watford (4-1) | Nketiah, Lacazette, Tierney, Azeez
HIGHLIGHTS | Arsenal vs Watford (4-1) | Nketiah, Lacazette, Tierney, Azeez

We scored four goals in a single game for the second time this week, as we stepped up our pre-season preparations with a win over Premier League new boys Watford on Wednesday. Picking up from where we left off in Saturday's behind-closed-doors clash with Millwall, Eddie Nketiah, Alex Lacazette, Kieran Tierney and Miguel Azeez all found the back of the net as we continued to build momentum ahead of the 2021/22 campaign. It was a fast start by Mikel Arteta's side, too, who stormed into an early lead thanks to Willian's vision and the individual brilliance of Nketiah. First our Brazilian collected the ball on the turn deep inside his half and threaded a fine through ball into his team-mate's path on the left wing. Hugging the touchline, Nketiah angled his run towards the penalty area and ducked inside his man before rifling a low effort into the far corner. With the speed, accuracy and dip on the strike, there was nothing Rob Elliot could do to deny our young forward. But, undeterred, the Hornets were still keen to inflict their own sting in the tail and burst downfield in response. Imran Louza shot well wide of the target and forced Bernd Leno into a low stop, but our returning German would be beaten moments later. Under duress from Watford's high press, Mohamed Elneny was caught in possession inside our penalty area, allowing Philip Zinckernagel to level the scores from close range. Again, Arteta used the interval to freshen up his side and with the half-time introductions of Hector Bellerin, Nicolas Pepe and Alex Lacazette, we came flying out of the traps. Nketiah had the first opportunity, heading over from Bellerin's deep cross, before Pepe sliced his half-volley inches wide of the top corner. At the other end, Ashley Fletcher had a golden opportunity to put his side ahead for the first time, but he dragged his low strike well wide of Alex Runarsson's far post. And just two minutes later, the former England youth international was made to rue his misfired shot. Lacazette took a free-kick quickly to release Ainsley Maitland-Niles inside the box, and our Hale End graduate was bundled over as Watford scrambled to rediscover their defensive shape. Lacazette grabbed the ball and, after placing it down on the penalty spot, sent Daniel Bachmann the wrong way to restore our lead. And it got better just moments later. Emile Smith Rowe steamed down the right-hand side and sent a dangerous ball across the face of goal to Kieran Tierney, who set himself before smashing a half-volley into the roof of the net. Lacazette had three more chances to score from open play, firing two snap-shots wide and hitting the base of the post with the most delicate of chips, but it was Azeez who had the final say. Our 18-year-old collected a short corner on the right-hand side of Watford's penalty area, shifted the ball onto his left foot and curled a magnificent strike into the top corner to round off another productive performance for Arteta's side. Starting XI: Leno, Cedric, Chambers, Mari, Tavares, Lokonga, Elneny, Nelson, Willian, Nketiah, Aubameyang Substitutes: Runarsson (for Leno 46), Bellerin (for Cedric 46), Holding (for Chambers 46), Tierney (for Tavares 46), Partey (for Elneny 46), Pepe (for Nelson 46), Lacazette (for Aubameyang 46), Kolasinac (for Mari 64), Azeez (for Lokonga 64), Smith Rowe (for Willian 64), Maitland-Niles (for Nketiah 64) #arsenal #lacazette #azeez #tierney #nketiah Enjoy match highlights, training and behind the scenes to get closer to the likes of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Vivianne Miedema, Nicolas Pepe, Alexandre Lacazette, Leah Williamson, Bernd Leno, Willian, Hector Bellerin, Jordan Nobbs, Bukayo Saka, Kim Little, Gabriel Martinelli, Thomas Partey and more. Pakistan vs England 1st T20 Post Match Analysis, #PakvsEng #EngvsPak
Pakistan vs England 1st T20 Post Match Analysis, #PakvsEng #EngvsPak

This is my post-match analysis of the 1st T20 Match Between Pakistan Vs England. So our day did not start well. As we heard in the morning that Hassan Ali was not playing the first T20. It was a big dent in Pakistan's team bowling attack, which is facing a full-strength English team. I was expecting wholesale changes in the new side; especially I was thinking Shadab should be dropped and instead bring Usman Qadir should be in the team. But that was not the case and it really made me questioned Misbah's team selection skills. Eoin Morgan won the toss and elected to field. This was a safe choice because the boundary was way short and one really can not be sure how much score is a good score on this flat track. Pakistan, first time in English tour, opened with Babar Azam and Muhammad Rizwan. Why Pakistan does not do the same in One Day Internationals is beyond me. This opening pair is Pakistan side greatest strength. Opening Partnership made 150 runs in 14.4 overs. Pakistan's middle order could not ask more from their opening pair. This gives them license to express themselves and they just did that. They made close to 80 runs in the last 5 overs. Pakistan posted a daunting 233 runs on the board. However, I felt Pakistan could have done a bit better; I truly thought they could have managed 250 runs on this flat track; also, the boundary was real short and they got a really good start. However, this seems to be our weakness from ever that we do not capitalize on great starts and somehow capitulate and lose initiative. However, at least, we did not do this today. I was a bit disappointed with Sohaib Maqsood getting out on the boundary. We include him in the Pakistan white-ball team as a big hitter. He should not get hold out in 60 meters long boundary. However, after him, Fakhar and Hafeez did the job for Pakistan. This should be Hafeez's new role in the Pakistan white-ball team. He should come lower down the order and play some big shots. Also, he could be handy with the ball as well. Especially against left-handers. He just eats left-hander batsmen; Hafeez's ability reminds me of baseball left-hand specialists who are just in the team to get big one left-hander out in a crucial stage. So let's get back to today's match. 231 runs was always a daunting chase. But England cricket team always gave the opposition a run for their money. Also, Pakistan did not like to win easily; on the way to the win they like to give their fan base heart ace, upset stomach, and diarrhea. Perhaps Pepto Bismol should sponsor the Pakistan cricket team. Liam Livingstone made quick-fire hundred and Jason Roy looked threatening as well. However, England kept losing wickets in regular intervals and that was the reason for their demise. After a whitewash in the ODIs, a series win in T20 could salvage Pakistan's tour of England. In order to do this, they just have to win one out of two games. Good Luck Babar Azam and Team Pakistan. #EXsports #cristianoronaldo #Euro2020 Belgium vs Portugal 1 - 0 | Belgium vs Portugal | Euro 2020 HIGHLIGHTS Belgium knocked defending champions Portugal out of Euro 2020 with a 1-0 victory in the last 16 on Sunday to set up a mouth-watering quarter-final tie against Italy. A 43rd-minute strike from Thorgan Hazard secured the win for Roberto Martinez's team, who survived plenty of pressure from the Portuguese in the second half. - Dawson: Belgium prove they're more than just goals - De Bruyne, Hazard subbed off with injuries vs. Portugal - Euro 2020 on ESPN: Stream LIVE games and replays (U.S. only) - Euro 2020 on ESPN: Latest news, features, video But with the finishing touch missing, it was the end of the road for Cristiano Ronaldo and a Portugal team who had triumphed in Paris five years ago. Ronaldo bows out with five goals from four games, and is currently the tournament's top scorer. Yet it remains to be seen if the 36-year-old will return for a sixth Euros in Germany in 2024 or if the competition's all-time top scorer will bow out of national team duty after the Qatar World Cup next year. Belgium were among the pre-tournament favourites but this was a stodgy and uninspired display and they will need to raise their game significantly if they are to get past Roberto Mancini's Azzurri who are unbeaten in 31 matches. Thorgan Hazard's fine goal was their only effort on target in the whole 90 minutes and there was little invention or flair from their midfield. "In the first half we were playing high and putting pressure on Portugal, but looking at that second half, we are lucky to win," said Belgium defender Thomas Vermaelen. The task against Italy could be even more difficult if Kevin De Bruyne and Eden Hazard, who both came off with knocks in the second half, are unable to recover from their latest injury woes. Portugal began brightly and Diogo Jota wasted a great chance in the sixth minute, dragging his shot wide after Renato Sanches had broken from midfield and found him in a promising position on the left. Ronaldo then tested Belgium keeper Thibaut Courtois with a low-struck free kick as Fernando Santos's team continued to apply pressure. But Belgium grew into the game with De Bruyne increasingly influential and they grabbed the lead three minutes before the interval. A smart passing move ended with Thomas Meunier feeding Thorgan Hazard, whose wickedly swerving shot flew past the wrong-footed Portugal keeper Rui Patricio. Patricio stepped to the right in anticipation of a near post shot but was unable to get back across and was beaten by an effort that flew in centrally. "In these kinds of games you have to grab your chances with both hands and voila, the goalkeeper expected me to choose the other corner, so the ball went in," said the scorer. Belgium suffered a blow when De Bruyne limped off with an injury three minutes after the break and Santos sought to breathe life into his side's attack by introducing Bruno Fernandes and Joao Felix from the bench. Ronaldo, cutting in from the right, did well to find Jota in the box but again the forward's effort was off target as Belgium struggled to contain their opponents. Belgium's attempts to counter were increasingly rare and Portugal turned up the heat in the final 10 minutes as they searched desperately for an equaliser. Courtois punched away a thundering Ruben Dias header from a corner and then Raphael Guerreiro struck the post with a sweet first-time shot from the edge of the box. #EXsports #cristianoronaldo #Euro2020 Belgium vs Portugal 1 - 0 | Belgium vs Portugal | Euro 2020 HIGHLIGHTS
