Na Mundijalu 2026 bićemo svedoci lopte koja više nije samo lopta, već pametni uređaj sa senzorima koji u realnom vremenu šalje podatke VAR sistemu. Nova Adidas lopta Trionda ima ugrađen senzor koji prati svaki dodir, svaki pas i svaki udarac, dok se podaci povezuju sa kamerama na stadionu. Sve to omogućava da se odluke poput ofsajda, igranja rukom ili gol-linije donose brže i preciznije nego ikada pre. Zvuči kao budućnost, ali to je već realnost. For a brief period, the "Knuckleball" technique broke football, but absolutely nobody could understand why... All of a sudden, balls were swerving chaotically through the air, making it near-impossible for goalkeepers to react. This turned into such a problem that Adidas called in NASA, who determined what was happening after running some tests. Turns out, soccer balls had gotten so round that they couldn't grip the air, resulting in a phenomenon called drag crisis (AKA--the Knuckleball.) I'll level with you--this is my absolute favorite technique in football, however, FIFA disagreed. They determined the balls were giving players an unfair technological advantage, which resulted in a major design change from Adidas... For the 2014 World Cup, they increased the panel count, deepened the seams, and added a bumpy texture (similar to a golf ball.) The result? Less round balls = less knuckle, and less knuckle = better flight. To this day, this is how footballs are produced, which is why--in the modern game--true knuckleballs are extremely rare. This is what you happens when you ask a physicist to design a football boot. It’s absolutely genius — Inside the insole is 30 grams of tungsten powder. Adidas claimed this added 5% more power and 8% more swerve on the ball when striking. Sounds far fetched, I know, but this bizarre piece of tech is actually backed by science. Functionally, it works the exact same as a dead blow hammer. This tool is beloved by auto repairmen and carpenters alike because it doesn’t damage the object it’s striking, even when hit with great force. This is because, it’s filled with little bits of metal. When swinging the hammer, these pellet's slide to the back, then, as it makes contact, the pellet’s slam forward, preventing the hammer from bouncing back. This, in turn, results in a higher impact force, as it’s all concentrated in a single hit, rather than several bounces… Turns out, the biomechanics of striking a football are very similar. Foot goes back, so does the tungsten.
