They are trying to tell you that they didn't watch the Michael Jordan era, and there are much better things you could be doing with your time rather than listening to their takes on an era they didn't even watch. Would you go to someone for an opinion on Shakespeare if they had never seen the plays Macbeth, Hamlet, or Othello? Of course you wouldn't. Consider the source. Nobody who watched that era would trash the talent all around the league. Michael Jordan played in a great era with a great blend of fierce competitors, awe inspiring athletes, lock down defenders, knock down shooters, and ultra skilled ballers.

PSA Population 1 of 3 After PMG’s iconic late 90s run, it re-emerged from the collecting abyss for a brief arrival in 2008-09 Skybox Metal Universe. After Upper Deck acquired Fleer-Skybox in 2005, Upper Deck made their first attempt at re-establishing the iconic PMG brand. They brought back the original color scheme, with both red and green versions—this time, however, they limited the reds to only 50 with the greens occupying the first ten. This issue offers even more condition challenges than its '97 counterpart—a surprising reality given that the '97 issue suffers from a laundry list of condition issues. The '08 production most commonly presents heavy front surface cracking and chipping, which further speaks to the extreme rarity of high-grade copies. Released as a 100-card set, Upper Deck packed this rare insert with stars, headlined by Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant. Our December Premier Auction offers four of the finest examples from the issue, featuring a PMG Green and PMG Red example of Kobe Bryant and Michael Jordan. The PMG Red Kobe Bryant offered resides within a pop three PSA 10 holder and is serial stamped 14/50. All four corner tips are pin-point sharp with the delicate front surface showing exceptionally clean. Free of common cracking with tremendous color and clarity. Without an auto or game used element, these PMGs are a true card in purists' eyes which is an attribute people increasingly prefer and treasure (especially during this era's auto patch overload). These cards rank at the very top among all issues in all eras and represent some of our markets most cherished pieces. Impossible to replace and worthy of the very finest investment minded portfolio. Comes with PWCC's highest recommended.

Our December Premier Auction offers four of the finest examples from the issue, featuring a PMG Green and PMG Red example of Kobe Bryant and Michael Jordan. The PMG Green Kobe Bryant offered occupies the 08/50 serial stamp, matching Kobe’s jersey number which he wore for the first ten years of his career. Encapsulated within a Beckett 9 holder, presenting subgrades: centering 9.0, corners 9.5, edges 8.5, and surfaces 9.5. The delicate surface is void of common cracking with extraordinary color, clarity, and registration. Light chipping to the periphery keeps this card from grading higher. Without an auto or game used element, these PMGs are a true card in purists' eyes which is an attribute people increasingly prefer and treasure (especially during this era's auto patch overload). Offered is Michael Jordan's '85 Prizm Jewel Sticker rookie card encased in a PSA 8 holder. This Large Box variant is one of only seventeen to have earned the elite assessment with nine grading higher. Simply put, supply can not meet demand. Aesthetically pleasing throughout and really sparking a sense of nostalgia when viewing the sticker card in person. We've chosen to place this elite specimen in the top 30% of our eye appeal spectrum as it possesses some of the finest centering we've seen on the issue. Free of edge damage with perfectly formed corners and a tone-free reverse. Two horizontal print lines near the bottom edge of the card throw off the 'box' pattern slightly, which is the only 'flaw' preventing a higher grade. With Michael's flagship rookie card ('86 Fleer) possessing an upward trajectory, we feel this ultra rare Air Jordan rookie has an attractive future. PWCC recommends serious investors consider adding this card to their collection.
