The first one officiates at Adelaide Oval🏟 where India lost to England in the second semi-final of the T20 World Cup 2022. Shardul Thakur was introduced into the attack and got the first breakthrough dismissing Janneman Malan for 22 of 42. Temba Bavuma walked out to bat and failed once again he was dismissed by Shardul on 8 after facing 12 deliveries his poor run of form continues. Markram was dismissed on a duck by Kuldeep Yadav At this point South Africa were 3 down with 71 runs on the board. De Kock and Klaasen steadied the ship Ravi Bishnoi who is making his debut was slightly wayward initially allowing the batters to sweep and cut he was bowling a bit too quick on a pitch that was turning square. He made the corrections and got the big wicket of de Kock who was just 2 runs away from his 50 after facing 54 balls. David Miller joined Klaasen in the middle and together they stitched a brilliant partnership and took South Africa past the 200 runs mark. Both got to their respective fifties and changed their gears towards the end smashing bowlers all around the park!! There were a couple of catches dropped by the Indian side which eventually cost them an extra 10-20 runs. Miller finished with an unbeaten 75 of 63 alongside Klaasen who remained not out as well on 74 of 65 South Africa got to 249/4 in their allowed over of 40. Shardul Thakur was the pick of the bowlers for India he finished with 2 for 35 of his 8 overs. Kuldeep and Bishnoi picked up a wicket each Bishnoi was a bit expensive giving away 69 runs of his 8 overs. Siraj and Avesh went wicketless. It is a repeat of the last edition's final. It's a repeat of last season's final in which the Men in Blue came out trumps in a thriller of a contest. This is the first time that both teams are meeting this season against each other. Both teams have remained unbeaten with India having loads of abandoned games compared to the Lankans. Sri Lanka topped the group stage and beat West Indies in the semis. India finished in second place and defeated the Australians in the other semi-final. It promises to be a cracking encounter. It will be interesting to see what the captains opt for should he win the toss. This is the final and runs on the board count a lot. One more season of Road Safety World Series (RSWS) and it is yet again India Legends and Sri Lanka Legends in the finals. Then it was the Legends from India who lifted the inaugural championship. This is the second edition and it has been a fantastic season despite a few rain-spoiled matches. Road to the Finals (Sri Lanka Legends): Matches: 5 | Won: 4 | Lost: 0 | No Result: 1 Points: 18 | Position: First The Legends from Sri Lanka are yet to lose in the competition. They dominated each and every game they played except the one against New Zealand Legends which was swallowed by persistent rain. The table toppers defeated West Indies Legends in the second semifinal by 14 runs to get a spot in the summit clash which they rightly deserved. Road to the finals (India Legends): Matches: 5 | Won: 2 | Lost: 0 | No Result: 3 | Points: 14 | Position: Second Although the Men in Blue Legends had a forgettable season in terms of game time they had their three matches washed out due to inclement weather. While out of the two matches won one was a rain-curtailed match. But a healthy positive net run rate kept them ahead of Australia Legends in the points table but that really didn't have anything to change in the schedule of the first semifinal where these two sides met with India Legends winning it by a margin of 5 wickets. This match was played over two days as the rain had a few roles to play in this too. This is the first time these two are going head-to-head against each other this season and with both the Legends in unbelievable form this should be a contest to watch for. Can the Sachin Tendulkar-led side defend their title? Or can the Tillakaratne Dilshan-led unit take revenge for the previous season's finale loss? Only time will tell. Pitch Report: The pitch at this venue has been a batting paradise and the batters have managed to easily hit along the line of the ball. However spinners will get a sharp turn and grip off the surface and will be the key wicket-takers. A total of 160 will be the par score at this ground.
