I shouldn’t really be annoyed by this result because I did expect a defeat but I am. We took our chance early on again and nearly got a second, we kept them out well in the first half and were looking well to do it again in the second and then we go defensive far too soon, give a penalty away and our heads dropped. We can get away with going defensive and sitting on one goal leads against Hull and QPR but not Brentford. They are absolutely unreal and got the better of us. We don’t look like a team that’s got more than one goal in us, our attacking presence has to improve. These next three games are huge for us. I’ve been saying this since the restart, our attack is where we’ve been lacking and it was only a matter of time until a team punished us for not taking our chances and it had to be this lot. We need creativity in the middle and badly, because route one doesn’t work. So many chances we had through playing it across the floor but we couldn’t take them. Same old same old every time; game is destined for a point each after a fairly boring game and they pop up and take their chance. Serious improvement needed going forward.
