Check out Eltham Terrace Club - https://www.elthamterraceclub.com The injury-ravaged Addicks suffer yet another defeat. I don’t expect anything else to be honest because we can barely put a team together and they’re struggling to play games with a three day resting period in between. The boys are knackered and they’re struggling to cope with it, hence the poor performance tonight. We have to get through this period and get investment in January. What an absolutely unreal away day! We may not have come away with the three points but I’ll happily take a point against Fulham. The boys were superb, put in a real good shift. The first round of the Carabao Cup saw Charlton take on League Two Forest Green Rovers, the first game between the two sides in history. This 90 minute game was fairly uneventful and evenly matched. Charlton had their chances but just couldn’t covert, with their best chance coming from a Jake Forster-Caskey penalty, only for it to be saved by the keeper. The tie went to a penalty shootout, with Albie Morgan missing Charlton’s third spot-kick. Forest Green converted all five of their penalties, sending them through with a 5-3 win on penalties and Charlton crashing out in Round one for the second year running.
