Welcome to my number one passion! September 18, 2021. GEORGIA V. SOUTH CAROLINA. My day started at 5:30am and did not end until after midnight. Early morning parking, walking, sunrise, campus tour, breakfast, Tate Center, UGA hotel and Conference Center, cheerleaders, Jim's Tree, Dawg Walk, the hedges, graves of former mascots, warm ups, Redcoat Band, kickoff, a few plays, us actually doing the wave(!!!), the very famous LIGHT UP SANFORD, Fourth Quarter, end of the game, UGA Paintline, and some final comments. It was a great game. Georgia dominated and won 40-13. The experience on campus is like no other. I attended my first game in 1981 and became a season ticket holder in 1996. Since then I've missed only three home games and also been to 23 road games. I've also established a tradition of watching the Dawg Walk at a location named for me; Jim's Tree. All are welcome here, especially kids. The University of Georgia was charted in January, 1785 and the original deed was for 40,000 acres awarded to Athens, Georgia. The football team first played on January 30, 1892 on campus against Mercer. 118 All Americans, 2 Heisman Trophies, 2 National Championships, 13 SEC championships, and 29 final top ten rankings. The team plays at Sanford Stadium. Constructed in 1929 and costing $30,000, it has since been expanded multiple times to it's current capacity of 92,726. The sightlines are the best in football as they are natural being that the original bowl was built over Tanyard Creek on campus, which still runs under the stadium. Volume levels inside can be extreme. The decibel level reached 126Db on September 20, 2019 against Notre Dame. The stadium was also host to the 1996 Olympic Games womens soccer. Rogelio Funes Mori brilló con doblete, uno de ellos una pincelada en esta Jornada 10 del Torneo Guard1anes 2021. El partido: El encuentro en el BBVA comenzó muy movido, primero parecía que uno de los pilares de Gallos en este torneo, saldría por lesión, Sepúlveda se resintió de la espalda, luego de ser atendido, regresó al terreno de juego sin problema. Al minuto 15, Rogelio Funes Mori nos regaló una estampa futbolera, como esas que nos tiene acostumbrados, recibió el balón por el sector derecho por parte de Alfonso González, ya con marco abierto el delantero de Rayados se tiró la media tijera para abrir el marcador en casa. Al 20 de tiempo corrido, el joven debutante de Gallos, cometió la falta sobre el mellizo, el central marcó penal y así Funes Mori marcaba el doblete en casa, parecía que Monterrey tendría una noche tranquila en casa. Pero fue al minuto 26 que una gran jugada de Silveira, donde se quitó la marca, ingresó al área de los locales, mandó servicio a ras de pasto y a segundo poste apareció Ángel Sepúlveda para empujar la redonda y descontar en la pizarra. Fue al 33 que el VAR entró en acción, y una amarilla que había recibido Janssen fue cambiada por expulsión, Monterrey se quedó con 10 jugadores. Luego Maximliano Meza nos había regalado otra postal en casa, recibiendo de pecho y marcando de chilena, pero el VAR echó para atrás este golazo ya que antes hubo mano ofensiva en la asistencia. Al descanso los Rayados se fueron al frente en el marcador, más sorpresas nos deparaban para el segundo lapso. En la parte complementaria, el partido bajó los decibeles, los Rayados cuidaron el resultado, tenían un jugador menos, dándole espacio a lo Gallos y cerrando espacios en zona defensiva. Los locales llegaron a 18 unidades y Querétaro se quedó en el doceavo sitio con 11 puntos. Para la siguiente fecha, Rayados disputará el juego pendiente de la Jornada 3 frente a León, el miércoles 10 de marzo, para jugar el sábado ante Cruz Azul en la capital del país, mientras que los Gallos en la Jornada 11 recibirán al Atlético de San Luis.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang produced a European masterclass to guide us through to the Europa League final. Our top scorer netted a memorable hat-trick – and had a hand in the other – as we tamed the intimidating Mestalla with a fine attacking display to win the tie 7-3 on aggregate. The opening 10 minutes were played out to a deafening din inside the stadium, with the hosts starting strongly, pinning us back in our own half. And the decibel level rose yet higher when Kevin Gameiro put Valencia ahead. The striker slid home from close range after we were caught on the break. Ainsley Maitland-Niles had just had a shot saved, and Valencia exploited the gap left on our right hand side to create the opener. It was just what the vociferous home fans wanted. But six minutes later they were silenced by a magnificent Aubameyang strike. He raced onto Alexandre Lacazette's flick on and flashed home a superb volley from 20 yards. Aubameyang tried to return the favour for his strike partner as the half drew to a close, setting him up after a tremendous run on the right wing, but Lacazette's shot clipped the post before going wide. He made amends in the second half though, superbly held the ball up inside the area, wriggled into a shooting position and planted his shot low into the corner It meant Valencia now needed to score four more to qualify, and you could sense the belief ebbing away from the home team. They briefly rallied when Gameiro scored his second with a scrappy close-range finish, but Aubameyang restored our lead when he slid in at the near post to convert Ainsley Maitland-Niles' excellent low cross. Then came the icing on the cake. Aubameyang completed his first Gunners hat-trick late on, lashing home from the near post. It was the perfect way to round off a wonderful, and the Gabon striker's performance even brought warm applause from the home fans at the final whistle.
