Early morning parking, walking, sunrise, campus tour, breakfast, Tate Center, UGA hotel and Conference Center, cheerleaders, Jim's Tree, Dawg Walk, the hedges, graves of former mascots, warm ups, Redcoat Band, kickoff, a few plays, us actually doing the wave(!!!), the very famous LIGHT UP SANFORD, Fourth Quarter, end of the game, UGA Paintline, and some final comments. It was a great game. Georgia dominated and won 40-13. The experience on campus is like no other. I attended my first game in 1981 and became a season ticket holder in 1996. Since then I've missed only three home games and also been to 23 road games. I've also established a tradition of watching the Dawg Walk at a location named for me; Jim's Tree. All are welcome here, especially kids. The University of Georgia was charted in January, 1785 and the original deed was for 40,000 acres awarded to Athens, Georgia. The football team first played on January 30, 1892 on campus against Mercer. 118 All Americans, 2 Heisman Trophies, 2 National Championships, 13 SEC championships, and 29 final top ten rankings. The team plays at Sanford Stadium. Constructed in 1929 and costing $30,000, it has since been expanded multiple times to it's current capacity of 92,726. The sightlines are the best in football as they are natural being that the original bowl was built over Tanyard Creek on campus, which still runs under the stadium. Volume levels inside can be extreme. The decibel level reached 126Db on September 20, 2019 against Notre Dame. The stadium was also host to the 1996 Olympic Games womens soccer.
