#wanindu #ipl2022 #vmaxsports ‘Wanindu Hasaranga not bowling his first over till 11th was blunder’ – Brad Hogg reviews CSK vs RCB clash Former Australian spinner Brad Hogg felt that the Chennai Super Kings were tactically ahead of Royal Challengers Bangalore in Match 22 of IPL 2022 at the Dr. DY Patil Sports Academy in Navi Mumbai. CSK registered their first victory of the season by 23 runs in the fixture against RCB and have finally got points on the board after losing four games on the trot. The Ravindra Jadeja-led side posted a massive total of 216 for four in their 20 overs on account of an excellent third-wicket partnership of 165 runs between Robin Uthappa (88) and Shivam Dube (95*). With the ball in hand, the CSK side kept picking up wickets at regular intervals and did not allow the chasing side to be up with the required run rate. Maheesh Theekshana in particular was quite brilliant with his mystery spin as he accounted for both the openers of RCB and came back later to pick up the set batters Shahbaz Ahmed (41) and Suyash Prabhudessai (34). However, Dinesh Karthik gave a real scare by hitting some big ones in the last few overs with a 14-ball 34. It was only a matter of time for CSK’s victory as Karthik was dismissed in the 18th over of the game. Have to give your secret weapon an over earlier: Brad Hogg Hogg mentioned CSK’s tactical prowesses by bowling a lot of spin in the first ten overs whereas Faf du Plessis was reluctant to go to his match-winner Wanindu Hasaranga until the 11th over. He added that Hasaranga should have come earlier and it was a big surprise that the Sri Lankan wrist-spinner did not complete his quota of four overs as well while the other bowlers were taken to the cleaners. “CSK tactically superior last night. They bowled 7 overs of spin in the first 10 overs compared to 3 from RCB. Hasaranga not bowling his first over till the 11th was a blunder. Have to give your secret weapon an over earlier than that. #CSKvsRCB #IPL2022,” Hogg tweeted This is RCB’s second loss in the tournament and their next game will be against the Delhi Capitals on 16th April (Saturday), while CSK will play the Gujarat Titans on 17th April (Sunday).

After the race, Leclerc said: “It is hard racing, as we have seen with Max in the past. But I’m also an aggressive driver in the way I fight with others.” This will have been a strong message to Verstappen, so let’s look at it from each driver’s perspective. By lap 17, Verstappen had caught Leclerc and made a strong move going down the pit straight - helped by the straight-line speed of the Red Bull. Leclerc defended pretty heavily, as much as he really could on the wide Bahrain circuit. I think here, he would have wanted to keep Max on the inside, off the racing line and in all of the dust and dirt. This way, Leclerc had a much better line through turn 1, cleaner - and grippier - tyres and DRS in the next section of track. He actually said that he wasn’t trying to be too late on the brakes into turn 1, as the DRS detection line was in the braking zone. As we know, this line which enables DRS in the next section if a driver is behind another when crossing it, so Leclerc was being pretty clever here, saying: “I expected it (the overtake) and actually I wanted it. Because I knew that if he wasn’t overtaking me there, he would overtake me on the run to Turn 4 with the DRS. “So I was on purpose braking very early into Turn 1 to be just behind in the DRS detection and to get it on the run to Turn 4 to get him back. It always worked out. ➤ Join our Driver61 Community Discord! - https://discord.gg/YCqFxF27VS ➤ Subscribe for more incredible motorsport: https://goo.gl/AbD2f9 ➤Follow us on: ➤ Instagram- @official_driver61 - https://bit.ly/D61Insta ➤TikTok - @official_driver61 - https://bit.ly/D61TikTok ➤ iPad Drawing sponsored by Concepts, you can get an exclusive free trial here! - https://concepts.app/driver61 📺 F1 Driver’s Technique Explained ➤ Senna’s bizarre technique: https://bit.ly/3lORK59 ➤ How Schumacher’s style won 7 championships: https://bit.ly/3527cVz ➤ Alonso’s strange steering: https://bit.ly/2Z7a93v ➤ How Verstappen will be F1 champion: https://bit.ly/3jK6L6n ➤ How Verstappen is so fast in the wet: https://bit.ly/32WMVhr 📺 F1 Engineering ➤ How F1 brakes work: https://bit.ly/3h0Whh0 ➤ How an F1 clutch works: https://bit.ly/3i0oDJM ➤ What’s inside an F1 gearbox: https://bit.ly/2DzMqRW ➤ How F1 teams change four tyres in two seconds: https://bit.ly/2QVpkIl 🏎️ Track & Racing Driver! ➤ Get a free report on your track driving: http://bit.ly/2LmYNBA ➤ Get faster on track with our FREE 25-part tutorial series:http://bit.ly/2PypIMK ➤ Our real-world training programmes: http://bit.ly/2ktjtgV 🏁 Sim Racers! ➤ My sim wheel: https://bit.ly/354BBlY ➤ My sim pedals: https://bit.ly/3eJckQo ➤ Our sim racing course: https://bit.ly/34WuV7p ➤ Get a free report on your track driving: http://bit.ly/2LmYNBA ➤ Driver61 Sim Racing Channel: http://bit.ly/2BMdk4B #F1 #Leclerc #BahrainGP

#India #Sri Lanka - #2ndT20I #SriLankatourofIndia 2022 After a stellar performance in the shortest format throughout the season, team India will aim to whitewash another team in their home conditions after they won the first game in convincing fashion. Sri Lanka at the other hand will try to make a big comeback and try to keep the series alive for the decider that is to be played tomorrow. Some injury concerns for team India continue as it has been reported that Ruturaj Gaikwad has been ruled out of the series and will undergo a rehab at NCA. Mayank Agarwal has been named as his replacement for the remaining two games. India had a terrific game at Lucknow. First up with the bat as skipper Rohit Sharma and his new opening partner Ishan Kishan made merry of the conditions and also took lots of doubles and triples as the ground dimensions were a bit larger, putting the fielding team under tremendous pressure. Thanks to a quickfire knock from Shreyas Iyer at the end, India put up a massive total of 199 runs in their 20 overs. The bowlers then took over and allowed Rohit Sharma to experiment with the bowling attack which included using Venkatesh Iyer at the death and also allowed a smooth comeback for Jasprit Bumrah and Ravindra Jadeja at the international arena. The only positives for the Sri Lanka team were the fighting knocks from Charith Asalanka who scored a patient half century, holding one end batting at number 4. Fast bowler Dushmantha Chameera also fluently played his strokes batting lower down the order and scored his highest T20 score. Only Ravindra Jadeja bowled his full quota of four overs as Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Venkatesh Iyer picked up a couple of wickets each with Jadeja, and Yuzvendra Chahal chipping in with a wicket apiece. Vice captain Jasprit Bumrah, debutant Deepak Hooda and Harshal Patel (2 overs) went wicketless and Venkatesh finished his spell on the expensive side as he was taken to the cleaners in the death overs when Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Jasprit Bumrah were relieved off their bowling duties. Toss and the pitch report coming up and live action to follow.
Jashan e Cricket | PSL 7 | PSL 2022: Islamabad United keep final hopes alive after eliminating Peshawar Zalmi | Peshawar Zalmi VS Islamabad United | Alex Hales | Wahab Riaz | Shadab Khan | Azam Khan | Shoaib Malik | Sidra Niazi | Ali Abbas | Shoaib Akhtar | Inzamam Ul Haq | Sikander Bakht | | Ali Meer | Shahzad Iqbal | 24th February 2022 LAHORE: Islamabad United have defeated Peshawar Zalmi by five wickets in the eliminator 1 of the Pakistan Super League's (PSL) seventh edition to keep their hopes of reaching the finals alive. The United will now clash with Lahore Qalandars in eliminator 2 tomorrow (Friday) — and the winner of the match will face Multan Sultans in the final. In the last over, United required 10 runs, and Azam Khan got out on the first ball, after that, Liam Dawson finished the thrilling clash with ease as he smacked a six and four on the next two balls. The do-or-die match between the two teams was a see-saw battle with both teams unwilling to give up till the very end. The Zalmi bowlers were on target with their line, as they removed opener Will Jacks for 11 runs. Alex Hales announced his return with a bang as he kept the run-chase intact and played according to the situation. United was cruising at one stage with Hales looking well set, but it was Salman Irshad's two wickets that brought Zalmi back into the game. He removed Hales with a brilliant yorker and took the wicket of dangerous-looking Shadab Khan for 22 runs and Asif Ali, who was on seven. Azam Khan who scored 28 runs with two sixes and Faheem Ashraf who notched 19 with two maximums brought United closer. But in the last over when 10 runs were required, Azam got out on the wrong time, but Liam Dawson finished the game with hits. In terms of bowling, Wahab Riaz was taken to the cleaners as he conceded 52 runs in four overs, while Salman registered figures of 3-31. Earlier, after deciding to bat first, Peshawar Zalmi scored 169 runs for the loss of five wickets. The United bowlers kept things tight as Zalmi batters didn't score runs quickly, as they lost in-form opener Mohammad Haris for 12 runs by Faheem Ashraf. Opener Kamran Akmal continued to carve out runs, while Yasir Khan was also removed for eight runs. Karman got out for 58 runs by United skipper Shadab Khan with Zalmi's score of 98 runs on the board. Shoaib Malik and Hussain Talat forged a crucial 56 runs stand to take Zalmi to the 150 run mark. Hussain scored 28 runs, while Malik scored 55. For United, Hasan Ali took three wickets for 30 runs in four overs, while Shadab and Faheem picked one. Jashan e Cricket | PSL 7 | Lahore Qalandars Win | Fakhar Zaman | Peshawar Zalmi | Wahab Riaz | Peshawar Zalmi vs Lahore Qalandars | Shaheen Shah Afridi | Qamar Zaman Kaira | Eshal Fayyaz | Ali Meer | Shahzad Iqbal | 02nd January 2022 KARACHI: Fakhar Zaman and bowlers joined hands to help Lahore Qalandars defeat Peshawar Zalmi by 29 runs in match number nine to push their team to the second spot in the ongoing Pakistan Super League's (PSL) points table. The Qalandars had set a 200-run target for Peshawar after Wahab Riaz opted to bowl first against Lahore. Early in the Peshawar innings, Lahore skipper Shaheen Shah Afridi set the tone for his team by dismissing Zalmi opener Hazratullah Zazai for zero in the third ball of the innings. The loss of the early wicket put Zalmi on the backfoot and regular wickets by Lahore never allowed Peshawar to take control of the game. For Zalmi, Kamran Akmal and Haidar Ali made 41 and 49 runs, respectively, but the team was unable to catch up to the high required run rate. Zaman Khan took three wickets for Lahore, while skipper Shaheen and David Weise took two wickets each. Rashid Khan took a wicket as well. Zalmi ended their 20 overs with 170-9 helping Lahore register a 29-run victory. Peshawar would have been all out in the last over had David Weise's hattrick wicket not overturned by the review. Earlier, Lahore openers Fakhar Zaman and Abdullah Shafique set the tone for Qalandars' batting as they took the Peshawar Zalmi bowlers to the cleaners. Fakhar made his third successive fifty-plus scores by reaching his half-century in the 10th over. However, in the same over, Usman Qadir dismissed Shafique for 41 runs to break the opening stand. Fakhar continued his attack on the Zalmi bowlers before being dismissed by Hussain Talat in the 13th over for 66. By the time the left-hander was dismissed he had given the platform to his team to set up a huge target for Peshawar. In the next few overs, Kamran Ghulam, Mohammad Hafeez, and Rashid Khan’s cameo propelled Lahore to end their innings at 199-4. For Peshawar, Salman Irshad took two wickets while Usman Qadir and Hussain Talat picked one each.
