LIVE: KKR VS PBKS, Match 42 | IPL LIVE SCORES AND COMMENTARY | KOLKATA KNIGHT RIDERS VS PUNJAB KINGS | IPL 2024 #ipl #ipllive #ipl2024 For queries: anatomizedtube@gmail.com Preview: It’s the summer season and it is that time of the year when many get busy marking their calendars for a vacation or planning a quick getaway. But for cricket fans, it’s time to keep their fingers crossed staring at their mobile and laptop screens, cheering and praying for their favourite teams and catching a glimpse of their heroes live in action at the stadium. Amidst all the euphoria and the festive ambience, the 2024 edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) promises to bring a fair share of exuberance to the fore, with this being the last instalment before next year’s mega auction. Coming into the 2024 auctions, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Mumbai Indians(MI) were the smart shoppers. The yellow brigade has roped in the New Zealand duo of Daryll Mitchell and Rachin Ravindra while welcoming back Shardul Thakur who is coming on the back of some brilliant bowling performance in the Ranji Trophy. On the other hand, The Men in Blue had traded Hardik Pandya from the Gujarat Titans (GT) and had without second thought appointed him as the new captain with an eye to the future. Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) over the years have had a roller-coaster run in the IPL, Barring the lone championship victory in 2016, the Hyderabad-based franchise has been unpredictable and has either finished in the top four or in the bottom in their decade of existence. This year fortunes could turn around for the franchise. Two teams that are desperate to end their title droughts are the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and the Rajasthan Royals (RR). While the former’s trophy cabinet has been running dry for a decade, the latter’s lone title victory in the inaugural edition of the IPL (2008) is becoming a distant memory. Shubman Gill replaced Hardik Pandya as the new captain of Gujarat Titans. In this year’s auction, GT bagged all-rounder Azmatullah Omarzai who was a standout for Afghanistan in the 2023 50-over World Cup held in India, which could be a like-for-like replacement for Hardik Pandya. Delhi Capitals (DC) and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) will also be in the mix, but it would be interesting how the returning Rishabh Pant and KL Rahul would go about their ways as this IPL edition would be an audition for a spot in the Indian squad for the upcoming T20 World Cup in the Caribbean. Meanwhile, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) face the difficult task of replicating the success of their women’s team, which won the WPL 2024 title last Sunday. RCB might boast a star-studded line-up including the likes of Faf du Plessis, Virat Kohli and Glen Maxwell but their bowling department remains an issue. Punjab Kings (PBKS) also head into the tournament with a lot of issues that needed to be sorted out at the IPL 2024 auction.

Bangladesh v Sri Lanka 1st T20 Live Scores | BAN vs SL 1st T20 Live Scores & Commentary | SL Innings

T20 is the flavour of the season and we will see a lot of it in the next few months because of the World Cup scheduled in June this year. These two teams - Bangladesh and Sri Lanka - have players already in T20 mode. Bangladesh players are coming into this 3-match series on the back of BPL while Sri Lanka recently beat Afghanistan in this format. The home side has a new look to it with the experienced trio of Tamim Shakib and Rahim not available for various reasons. Najmul Shanto will lead this rather young side as they start their preparation for the main event. Sri Lanka too have a change in captaincy for the first two games. Regular skipper Wanindu Hasaranga is suspended for the first two games and Charith Asalanka will lead the side in his absence. The Lankans played some exciting cricket against Afghanistan and would look to carry that into these three games. Anamul Haque needs 15 runs to complete 2000 runs in international cricket. It was only last Friday (March 1) that Najmul Hossain Shanto & Co. ended their respective stints at the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) 2024 but so tight is the cricket calendar that only three days later hosts Bangladesh and Sri Lanka will face-off in a three-match T20I series beginning in Sylhet. All three T20Is – the remaining two fixtures are on March 6 and 9 – will be played in Sylhet. This is the road to ICC T20 World Cup in the USA and the Caribbean and it’ll be crucial for the teams to gather and then sustain momentum heading into the mega-event in June later this year. Star Bangladesh all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan will not be in action due to eye issue. Mehidy Hasan Miraz the vice-captain of the T20I team has been dropped. Meanwhile Mahmudullah has returned to the T20I side after more than a year having smashed 237 runs with two fifties at a healthy strike-rate of 134.65 in the recently-concluded BPL season. Anamul Haque Mohammad Naim Taijul Islam and Taskin Ahmed all of who didn’t feature in Bangladesh’s previous T20I assignment in New Zealand (in December 2023) that ended 1-1 have been brought back. Mystery spinner Aliss Al Islam who earned his maiden call-up to the national team after. A successful campaign with Comilla Victorians in the BPL – he bagged 9 scalps at an impressive economy of 7.17 – has been ruled out with a finger injury. Jaker Ali has been drafted into the squad as Aliss' replacement. Jaker also featured for the Comilla-based franchise in the BPL. He hit 199 runs at a splendid strike-rate of 141.13 and at an awe-inspiring average of 99.50. Bangladesh will know they need a complete team performance against Sri Lanka who’ll be high on confidence after winning successive T20I series against Afghanistan and Zimbabwe. Charith Asalanka will be the stand-in Sri Lanka skipper in place of Wanindu Hasaranga for the first two of three T20Is. It’s pertinent to note that Hasaranga was suspended for two T20Is by the ICC following his outburst against umpire Lyndon Hannibal in a T20I against Afghanistan. Hasaranga who was also fined 50 per cent of his match fee will return as captain for the final T20I on March 9. In Hasaranga’s absence Akila Dananjaya and Maheesh Theekshana are the other spinners in the squad. Opening batter Avishka Fernando has come in for the injured Pathum Nissanka. Sri Lanka will miss the services of Kusal Perera who is down with a respiratory infection. Niroshan Dickwella who last played for Sri Lanka in March 2023 has been named Perera’s replacement. Bangladesh the home team would’ve to be mentally ready to handle the pressure of expectations better. Sri Lanka on the other hand would bank on their batters and spin department to produce a special performance. The three T20Is could well be about one of the teams setting the bar so high that the other would have extra motivation to overcome the challenge thrown at them. Champions Cup | Toluca 2-3 Herediano | Round One ConcaChampions 2024

Costa Rican club Herediano produced a comeback for the ages, rallying from two goals down in the second half to defeat Toluca of Mexico, 3-2, in the second leg of their 2024 Concacaf Champions Cup Round One series on Thursday night at the Estadio Nemesio Diez in Toluca, Mexico. With the result, Herediano advance to the Round of 16 on the away goal tiebreaker following a 4-4 draw on aggregate. Herediano will next face 2023 Concacaf Caribbean Cup champions Robinhood of Suriname. Toluca were in dreamland in the early going, as they picked up an early 1-0 lead in the fifth minute when Maximiliano Araujo managed to play a cutback pass that found a wide-open Mauricio Isais, who calmly stroked home for a goal. The Liga MX side could play to their liking, and that resulted in a second score for the home side right before the halftime break, as Jesus Angulo hammered in a left-footed shot to stretch the Toluca advantage to 2-0. Herediano refused to back down, though, and a right-footed rocket from Andy Rojas in the 57’ suddenly cut the Toluca lead in the match down to 2-1. It proved to be a stunning shift in momentum and minutes later in the 62’ Francisco Rodriguez made the slightest deflection with his boot off a Joshua Canales cross to redirect the ball into net to even the match at 2-2 and cut Toluca’s aggregate lead to 4-3. The nerves could be felt all throughout the stadium, with Toluca trying to hold onto their lead and Herediano trying to find one more goal. The visiting Ticos were undaunted, and in the 84’ Joshua Canales reacted well to spin in a header off a scuffed shot to hand Herediano a 3-2 lead in the match and the advantage in the series on away goals at 4-4. Herediano were then able to nail things down the rest of the way to complete one of the greatest comebacks in Concacaf history. #csherediano #deportivotolucafc #concacaf #concachampions #highlights 🔔 Subscribe to our channel, and turn on notifications: https://www.youtube.com/concacaf/view_as=subscriber?sub_confirmation=1 💻 You can also visit our website and enjoy our exclusive content: https://www.concacaf.com/ 📱 Follow us on our social networks: Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/thechampions/ Twitter: https://twitter.com/thechampions Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/thechampions

The 24-year old quick impressed in the recently-concluded Test series against Australia, bagging 13 wickets in the two Tests, including figures of 7-68 in the second innings of the Gabba Test which helped West Indies level the series. Joseph has featured in only two T20 matches in his career. He was part of the Guyana Amazon Warriors setup in the 2023 edition of the Caribbean Premier League. The reason for Wood's unavailability isn't clear yet. The England pacer was part of LSG in 2022 but couldn't feature in the competition due to an elbow injury. New Zealand vs Bangladesh, 2nd T20I: Which team will win the series-opener? Tune in at 10:40 AM IST and 6:10 PM Local Time for its live coverage! Match Timings: 11:40 AM IST and 7:10 PM Local Time New Zealand (Probable XI): Finn Allen, Rachin Ravindra, Tim Seifert (wk), Daryl Mitchell, Glenn Phillips, Mark Chapman, James Neesham, Mitchell Santner (c), Tim Southee, Adam Milne, Jacob Duffy Bangladesh (Probable XI): Litton Das (wk), Afif Hossain, Najmul Hossain Shanto (c), Towhid Hridoy, Soumya Sarkar, Shamim Hossain, Mehidy Hasan Miraz, Mahedi Hasan, Hasan Mahmud, Mustafizur Rahman, Shoriful Islam Preview and Team Information by Sidharth Gulati Over the last month, New Zealand and Bangladesh have met five times across two formats - in two Tests and three ODIs. Time waits for no team in the modern era and the two teams will face-off in another series - three T20Is - beginning Wednesday (December 27) in Napier. The second and third T20Is will be played on Friday (December 29) and Sunday (December 31) respectively at Bay Oval, Mount Maunganui. This is the road to ICC T20 World Cup 2024 in the USA and the Caribbean, and the two teams would look to gather, and then sustain momentum heading into the mega-event in June. The Test series, which took place in Bangladesh, finished 1-1 while hosts New Zealand won the ODI series 2-1. Before the third ODI at McLean Park, Bangladesh had failed to win a single ODI in New Zealand in 18 matches. The Tigers finally ended the drought with a stunning victory, skittling New Zealand to 98 and getting over the line with nine wickets and 34.5 overs remaining. The visitors would aim to carry forward the confidence to T20Is, thanks to their performance in the final ODI of the series. In the absence of Shakib Al Hasan, Bangladesh’s regular skipper in the shortest format, Najmul Hossain Shanto will be the stand-in captain. It’s pertinent to note that Shakib sustained a finger injury during the ODI World Cup in India, and it’ll take “longer to heal”, according to chief selector Minhajul Abedin. Bangladesh have aplenty injury concerns; Mahmudullah and Taskin Ahmed both have shoulder injuries, while Ebadot Hossain is recovering from knee surgery he underwent in September. Bangladesh would know they need a complete team display against New Zealand, who won the ODI series and would be eager to continue their good form. They would treat the defeat in the third ODI as an aberration and stay focussed on doing well in T20Is too. New Zealand will miss the services of Kyle Jamieson and their designated skipper Kane Williamson. The two players have been rested following "medical advice and consideration of the team's upcoming schedule, with a focus on this summer's Test series against South Africa and Australia". Jamieson was earlier withdrawn from the ODI squad due to a hamstring injury. Rachin Ravindra and Jacob Duffy have been named as replacements. Devon Conway has been rested. Lockie Ferguson (achilles), Michael Bracewell (achilles) and Matt Henry (hamstring) are all injured. Both teams missing some key players may not be a bad thing as it will allow them to test those who are otherwise on the bench. Head-to-Head Record in T20Is 17 - Matches Played 14 - New Zealand Won 3 - Bangladesh Won New Zealand Squad: Mitchell Santner (c), Finn Allen, Mark Chapman, Jacob Duffy, Adam Milne, Daryl Mitchell, James Neesham, Glenn Phillips (wk), Rachin Ravindra, Ben Sears, Tim Seifert (wk), Ish Sodhi, Tim Southee Bangladesh Squad: Najmul Hossain Shanto (c), Litton Das (wk), Rony Talukdar, Towhid Hridoy, Shamim Hossain, Afif Hossain, Soumya Sarkar, Mehidy Hasan Miraz, Mahedi Hasan, Mustafizur Rahman, Shoriful Islam, Hasan Mahmud, Rishad Hossain, Tanvir Islam, Tanzim Hasan This live video under youtube fair use policy.
