How Amad Diallo Will Fit into Solskjaer’s Manchester United | Starting XI, Formation & Tactics
Welcome back guys! Amad Diallo Traoré will be joining Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s Man United in January. So let’s take a look at why Man Utd fans should be excited at the arrival of the wonder kid. ► JOIN PATREON: https://bit.ly/StatmanPatreon Amad Diallo is a very talented young footballer. He’s mainly played for Atalanta’s youth setup in a 4-3-3 on the right wing as an inverted winger. From this position, Diallo looks to use his exceptional close control and explosive pace to dribble past players and either pass to a teammate or get a shot away himself. Diallo has consistently improved his game in the youth ranks at Atalanta. His output has shifted from being more of a goalscorer for Atalanta’s under 18s, where he scored 23 goals and registered six assists in 41 appearances, to being more well rounded for their under 19s where he’s scored 13 goals and registered 15 assists in 46 appearances. ► CHECK US OUT ON TWITCH: http://bit.ly/SMDTwitch What makes Amad Diallo such a talent is his incredible first touch. This is really evident in his dribbling style. He takes lots of little touches when carrying which allows him to quickly change direction and breeze past players. He often looks to draw the defender in by taking a bigger touch which invites the tackle as the defender believes he’s lost control when he hasn’t. A great example of Diallo’s brilliant dribbling ability was his assist vs. AC Milan’s under 19’s. Milan’s centre backs with possession. He plays to a forward who loses out. Diallo then carries wide, draws the challenge from centre back, glides past him and then picks out Colley who finishes. But his first touch is also really useful in the final third, especially inside the penalty area. I think if he’s given the time and support to settle into the side he could be a mainstay in the eleven and allow Mason Greenwood to fully take up the mantle of being Manchester United’s number nine.
