Lig play-off finalinde yarın İstanbulspor ile karşılaşacak Royal Hastanesi Bandırmaspor'un taraftarları, kulübün 57 yıllık tarihinde ilk kez bu kadar yaklaştığı Süper Lig'e yükselmesini istiyor. Balıkesir'in Bandırma ilçesinde 1965 yılında kurulan bordo-beyazlı kulüp, 2021-2022 sezonunda Onur Göçmez başkanlığında, teknik direktör Mustafa Gürsel yönetiminde performansıyla dikkati çekiyor. Aldığı başarılı sonuçlarla ligi 62 puanla üçüncü sırada tamamlayan Bandırmaspor, play-off yarı finalinde Eyüpspor'la eşleşti. Yarı finalin ilk maçında deplasmanda rakibine 1-0 yenilen bordo-beyazlılar, ikinci maçta sahasında aldığı 3-0'lık galibiyetle adını finale yazdırmayı başardı. Büyükşehir Belediye Erzurumspor'u eleyen İstanbulspor ile yarın Kocaeli Stadı'nda saat 20.00'de oynanacak final maçında karşılaşacak Balıkesir temsilcisi, kulüp tarihinde ilk kez Süper Lig'e çıkma şansı yakaladı. Bandırmaspor taraftarı da "Hep birlikte el ele yürüyoruz Süper Lig'e" sloganıyla kenti bordo-beyaz flamalarla donatarak, yönetim, teknik heyet ve futbolcularla adeta bütünleşti. Kulübü Süper Lig'de görmek isteyen taraftar, gönül verdiği takımı final maçında yalnız bırakmamak için yaklaşık 100 otobüsle Kocaeli'ye yolculuk hazırlıklarını tamamladı. - "Hedefimiz 10 bin 500 taraftarla Kocaeli'ye gitmek" Bandırmaspor Taraftarlar Derneği Yönetim Kurulu Üyesi Uğur Maral, AA muhabirine yaptığı açıklamada, takımlarının bu yıl güzel bir sezon geçirdiğini söyledi. Bandırmaspor taraftarını final için Bordo Kutu ve Bandırmaspor Store'a davet ediyoruz." Bandırmaspor taraftarı Mehmet Erdem de Bandırmaspor'un finale kalmasından duyduğu memnuniyeti dile getirdi. Takımın Süper Lig'e çıkmasının kent için çok iyi olacağını vurgulayan Erdem "Hem esnaf için hem ekonomik yönden iyi olacak.
