Steelers fan reacts to wild card Kansas City Chiefs loss Pittsburgh went into Kansas City in a very unfavorable situation. Ben Roethlisberger’s offense never had a good shot at keeping pace with Patrick Mahomes. T.J. Watt and the defense gave Pittsburgh the lead to start the game but a total defensive collapse in the second quarter opened the door to Andy Reid’s team running away with the 42-21 win. At least this wasn’t as bad of a game or as bad of a loss as New England vs. Buffalo or Philadelphia vs. Tampa Bay. I’d call this a respectable loss in that regard. Ultimately it wasn’t the worst possible end to Roethlisberger’s career either. He made the playoffs, was the hero in Week 18, beat the Ravens in OT, got to author six more fourth quarter comebacks despite struggling to throw the ball 20 yards downfield with any accuracy. This wasn’t a bad end to his Hall of Fame career, and it wasn’t a bad end to a season where the Steelers performed well despite injuries and depth issues. Pittsburgh heads into the offseason in need of a new quarterback and soon a new general manager. We’ll see where this wild ride takes us. Also because I forgot to say it in the video, MAJOR PROPS TO JUJU for coming back when he could’ve just waited it out and went into free agency. #steelers #steelersnation #pittsburghsteelers #herewego #pittsburgh #steelersfootball #benroethlisberger #miketomlin #nfl #nflplayoffs #kansascitychiefs #chiefs
Clemson fan reacts to Notre Dame game Dabo Swinney and the No. 4 Clemson Tigers will not make the College Football Playoff ...
Reacting to Ohio State winning the Rose Bowl C.J. Stroud and Jaxson Smith-Njigba had two of the best performances you’ll ever see as they led the Buckeyes to a 48-45 win over Utah in yet another classic Rose Bowl. This game has everything we could’ve wanted as fans (except for defense maybe). Cameron Rising played awesome at quarterback for Utah as well. He seems to have a bright future in college football. If only the College Football Playoff delivered us a matchup like this yesterday. The Buckeyes crawled out of a 14-0 hole to start the game, and the teams combined for 42 points scored in the second quarter. We had a kickoff returned for a TD, a 62-yard quarterback run, an interception in the end zone, and record-setting performances by several players. That’s what college football is all about! #rosebowl #cfb #collegefootball #buckeyes #ohiostate #ohiostatebuckeyes #ohiostatefootball #utahutes #utes
Reacting to Georgia beating Michigan in College Football Playoff (Orange Bowl) A very boring, chalky semifinal round to the playoffs ended on Friday night with Kirby Smart’s Bulldogs dropping Jim Harbaugh's Michigan Wolverines 34-11 in the Orange Bowl. The blowout game ended several hours after Nick Saban and the Alabama Crimson Tide topped the Cincinnati Bearcats 27-6. That means the National Title game is a rematch of the SEC Championship Game between Alabama and Georgia. The Orange Bowl was even more disappointing than the Cotton Bowl. The Bulldogs scored points on their first six drives en route to a 27-3 halftime lead. Michigan turned the ball over on downs several times and squandered a red zone opportunity because of an interception. The Wolverines only scored a touchdown late in the fourth quarter once Smart put plenty of backup defenders in the game. Derion Kendrick intercepted Cade McNamara twice as Georgia’s defense returned to its dominant form. Stetson Bennett played exceptionally well, and running back James Cook amassed over 140 yards from scrimmage. Michigan never got a foothold. The first round of the College Football Playoff stunk. #collegefootballplayoff #cfb #cfbplayoff #georgia #georgiabulldogs #michiganwolverines #michiganfootball #michigan #georgiafootball #collegefootball #orangebowl
Reacting to Alabama beating Cincinnati in College Football Playoff The Bearcats kept it close for a quarter but the Crimson Tide seized the momentum in the second quarter and never looked back. This was a fairly boring game because it never felt like Desmond Ridder and Cincinnati’s offense could threaten Alabama’s defense after the first 15 minutes. Ridder has passes batted down and was sacked several times as Alabama bullied the Bearcats in the trenches. Brian Robinson Jr. had the best performance, rushing for 204 yards on 26 carries. Bryce Young and Jameson Williams didn’t star in the win but they made crucial plays when needed. Meanwhile, only Jerome Ford for Cincinnati’s offense looked evenly matched with the Crimson Tide defense. I wish this was a better game. It’s such a shame to see one of three college football playoff games turn into such a lopsided contest, even if the score was close until the fourth quarter. #cfbplayoffs #collegefootball #cfb #crimsontide #alabamacrimsontide #alabama #alvscin #bearcats #cincinnatibearcats #cincinnati #cottonbowl #collegefootballplayoff #cfbplayoff
Clemson student reacts to Tigers winning Cheez It Bowl -First game getting to see Brandon Streeter take over for Tony Elliott at offensive coordinator and Wes Goodwin taking over for Brent Venables at defensive coordinator. -The Tigers have no opt outs because of the draft while the Cyclones don’t have Breece Hall or Mike Rose. -Such a shame to see James Skalski’s Clemson career end with him on the sidelines. -Brock Purdy gets the assist for batting his blocked pass forward. I have no idea how you bat the ball up like that when trying to knock it down, but great job by the defense setting up a wall to get Mario Goodrich to the endzone. -Andrew Booth gets hurt on a chippy play, but he was getting chippy with the Iowa State WRs from the very first drive. -DJ Uiagalelei potentially screws everything up by trying to throw back across his body on the run with plenty of Iowa State players in front of him. It was one Clemson player vs. three of four Cyclones. That’s how you blow a 20-3 lead where your defense has set you up to sail to victory. You can’t make that kind of mistake, especially after a full season of starting experience. -Crazy sequence of events with Iowa State throwing an interception on a trick play and the Clemson player fumbles but none of it matters because of a roughing the passer call. -Clemson begins bleeding points because turnovers, poor punting, and penalties give Iowa State great field positioning. -Offense still lacks explosive plays. Streeter is calling a better game than Elliott usually does, but the Tigers don’t have a play over 22 yards and we’re already into the fourth quarter. -It’s so weird to not have Justyn Ross, Joseph Ngata, Frank Ladson Jr., or E.J. Williams in the box score. -Will Putnam put Clemson in 2nd and 17 because he came in late with no self awareness. Then Clemson just runs a draw on 3rd and 8. I take it back, the playcalling still stinks. Luckily Will Spiers had a great punt. -Great forced fumble by Goodrich to push Brock Purdy back behind the first down marker to give Clemson the ball with under a minute left. #clemson #clemsontigers #clemsonfootball #clemsonuniversity #collegefootball #cfb #cfbplayoffs #bowlgames #cheezit #cyclones
