0:00 Introduction 25:55 At this point in the webinar the following corrections apply: - 180,000,000 people have been infected - 4,000,000 people have died - 168,000,000 people have recovered To date, four scientific articles have addressed diving and return to diving specifically. Fortunately, there is now sufficient evidence to be more confident in making recommendations regarding return to recreational and commercial diving after recovering from COVID-19. The recommendations contained in one of the articles (Sadler) forms the basis of the talk and offers guidance on return to diving based on the severity of the illness. PLEASE NOTE: The talk will not be addressing vaccination, immune therapy or remedies used in the treatment of COVID. GUEST SPEAKER Dr Frans Cronje is the founder of DAN Southern Africa, former President and CEO and a medical doctor with a passion for dive medicine.
