Faf du plessis and Shane Watson funny run out chance missed by Delhi Capitals vs CSK in IPL 2019 Shane Watson, Faf du Plessis mix-up one of the funniest moments of IPL 12 There was confusion all over the place as the defending champions CSK began their 148-run chase. Three balls into the chase, one of the most hilarious moments of Indian Premier League 2019 took place in the Qualifier 2 match taking place in Visakhapatnam between Chennai Super Kings and Delhi Capitals. There was confusion all over the place as the defending champions CSK began their 148-run chase after MS Dhoni won the toss and asked Delhi to bat first. Faf du Plessis played a shot towards point and called for the run. Shane Watson obliged, made a few strides forward but saw the striker go back to the crease. Du Plessis was midway when Axar Patel threw the ball towards the non-striker’s end. He, however, missed the stumps and Colin Munro collected it. Instead of throwing it down the stumps, he chose to get Du Plessis out at the striker’s end. Rishabh Pant dived but missed it and the openers sneaked in a run. Meanwhile, within the chaos, the two batsmen were struck in the middle of the pitch. Delhi players had their hands on their heads while Shreyas Iyer could not help but smile at the disaster, which had too many funny options to be defused. IPL 2019: CSK batsman Kedar Jadhav ruled out of the playoffs edar Jadhav has been ruled out of the remainder of the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL), the defending champions – Chennai Super Kings – confirmed on Monday. Jadhav left the field, during the second innings of Sunday’s game against Kings XI Punjab in Mohali, with physio Tommy Simsek after he hurt his shoulder. The incident occurred in the 14th over when Jadhav dived to his left to stop an overthrow from Ravindra Jadeja. CSK head coach Stephen Fleming also hinted against Jadhav’s further participation in the tournament, at the post-match press conference. Fleming had said that Jadhav’s focus would now shift to the World Cup as he wouldn’t be playing any more games in the IPL. “Kedar is getting an X-ray and a scan tomorrow. We’re hopeful for him. I don’t think we’ll see him again in this tournament for us. So now his attention will turn to what it looks like for the World Cup. He’s in some discomfort but we just need to be accurate with our assessments tomorrow. Fingers crossed that it’s nothing too serious,” Fleming had said on Sunday. Kolkata Knight Riders 206/5 (Russell 48*, Lynn 43, Negi 2-21) beat Royal Challengers Bangalore 205/3 (Kohli 84, de Villiers 63) by five wickets Match 17th KKR vs RCB at Bengaluru, Apr 5 2019 Brief Scorecard: Royal Challengers Bangalore(RCB) - 205/3 (20 Overs) Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) - 206/5 (19.1 Overs) KKR won by 5 wickets (with 5 balls remaining) Top Scorer from RCB - Virat Kohli 49 balls 84 runs - 84(49) AB de Villiers 32 balls 63 runs - 63(32) Top Scorer from KKR- Chris Lynn 31 balls 43 runs - 84(49) Andre Russell 13 balls 48 not out runs - 48(13) With Andre Russel's Innings KKR chased total of 205 with ease at the end. Virat Kohli's Interview after Match: "The last four overs, the way we bowled, we deserve to lose. If you bowl with not enough bravery in the crunch overs, then you will always struggle against power-hitters like Russell. We cracked a bit under pressure, and that's the only story. Had we got 20-25 more, maybe it would have helped. But if you can't defend 75 in the last four overs, then I don't know if you can defend 100. We just didn't have enough composure. We have a bit of a chat about what went wrong, but apart from that, there's nothing much you can say. It's been a disappointing season, but we have to believe we can turn things around." Andre Russel player of the match: "I am always confident. When I went out, DK was saying we need to watch a few balls. I was watching on the telly, and I wasn't thinking too much. We needed to get 68 from 28 balls, and that doesn't happen everyday. We just had to put our bodies on the line. That's the nature of T20 cricket. One over changes and the momentum changes. That's why I never give up. Once I am there, I know anything's possible. On low full tosses he said, " It's just hand-eye coordination. Low full tosses aren't easy to hit, and I just do short-hand jabs, because you cannot extend your arms. I cannot explain it, I can only show it in the middle" If you Love Cricket then Subscribe to our Channel "Cricket News Daily" for Cricket Videos, Top Cricket Records, Latest Cricket News, Cricket Records by Indian Players, Cricket Facts, Team Squad, Biography of Cricket Players, ICC Cricket World Cup, Asia Cup, IPL T20 and many more cricket updates on this channel.
