Sprinters Take On Technical Cobbled Finale | Tirreno-Adriatico 2022 Stage 3 Highlights
Stage 3 will see the riders tackle another 2000m+ of climbing, but a lot of this is done in the first 125km. The final 14km between Narni Scalo and Terni are on flat ground, with a left turn at 350m to go taking the riders into a smooth but cobbled street that may witness a sprint finish. The hills inside the first half of the stage might allow a breakaway to build a sufficient lead to contest the finish, otherwise it is likely that there will be a sprinting showdown in Terni. TT Day With A Steep Final Ramp | Paris-Nice 2022 Stage 4 Highlights
If the GC hasn’t been blown wide open on stages two and three, then stage four’s 13.3km-long ITT from Domérat to Montluçon will certainly shuffle the deck and establish a new hierarchy. The rolling course opens this stage up to both the ITT specialists and GC contenders with a big engine, but ultimately it’ll be the rider who gauges their effort best who’ll take the day. The longest stage of the race at 219km, stage 2 stretches inland from Camaiore to Sovicille as Tirreno-Adriatico begins its long march from the Tyrrhenian Sea to the Adriatic. If the sprinters are in good form and the second half of the stage is not made too difficult, they should hang on to contest the finish! Punchy Finish After Hard Day Of Racing | Paris Nice 2022 Stage 3 Highlights
Stage 3 has a deceptive sting in its tail, but before the riders uncover this hidden menace in the hills around Le Menoux they’ll first have to battle the crosswinds which are forecast to rip through the peloton in the first 100km. After the previous day’s ‘war in the winds’, several teams will start this stage battered and bruised with survival their only aim. Others will be looking to build on their victories from 24 hours before and go in for the kill.
