Joel Embiid was dominant once again against the Clippers on April 16, 2021, posting 36 points to go along with 14 rebounds en route to a Sixers victory. Embiid likely will not win MVP this season due to his absence for his knee injury, but he’d still get my vote seeing his is far better defensively than Jokic. Jakub Voracek Game-Winning Breakaway Goal in OT! | Flyers vs Rangers 3.15.21
Jakub Voracek scored the game winning goal on a breakaway in overtime for the Flyers to beat the Rangers 5-4. Voracek had been on the ice for nearly 2 minutes, but mustered enough energy to steal an attempted pass from NY goalie Kieth Kinkaid that led to his breakaway. In addition to the GWG, Jake collected two power play assists on the night. A win is a win, but the Flyers have slumped of late and sit outside of a playoff spot in the East division standings. Joel Embiid dropped a career-high 50 points on February 19, 2021 against the Chicago Bulls. He became the first 76ers player to score 50 in a game since Allen Iverson in 2005. Embiid also added 17 rebounds, 5 assists, 4 blocks, and 2 steals. He has now scored 25+ points in 13 straight games. Embiid is no doubt deserving of MVP with how he has played thus far, however LeBron James remains the favorite. The Sixers beat the Bulls and improved to 20-10 on the season. They remain atop of the Eastern Conference standings, ahead of Brooklyn and Milwaukee.

Kevin Hayes Overtime Game Winner! | Flyers vs Islanders 1.31.21
Kevin Hayes scored the game winning goal in overtime for the Flyers on January 31, 2021 against the New York Islanders. The GWG came on the power play after the Isles’ Matt Barzal took a high sticking penalty. It was Hayes’ fifth tally of the season, tied for a team lead. The OT victory was the second straight of that fashion for Flyers in back to back games against the Islanders. James Van Riemadyk had a nice outing, assisting on each of the Flyers four goals, including three from Joel Farabee, who earned his first career hatty. The Flyers next pair of games with come against the Bruins. Boston beat the Flyers twice already this season, so Philadelphia will be looking to get even starting Wednesday night.

Scott Laughton beat Semyon Varlamov for the game winning goal in overtime against the Islanders on January 30, 2021. It was Laughton’s first goal of the season. He also assisted on a Voracek tally earlier in the game. The Flyers were outshot in the game, as they usually are this year, and had a 2-0 lead erased, but still came away with the victory, courtesy of Laughton. Shake Milton played 27 minutes off the bench for the 76ers on January 14, 2021 against the Miami Heat. He scored 31 points on 11 of 15 shooting including 3 of 4 from beyond the arc.
