Curzon Ashton 0-0 FC United. Curzon win 4-3 on pens. 10 Nov.

The Reds had the better of the game with two disallowed goals in the first half, but with no other chances going in, this Doods cup match went to straight to penalties. The decider began well for FC with Chris Lynch and James Knowles' spot-kicks sandwiching a save by Dave Carnell to United two up, but it soon went pear shaped. Greg Daniels and Luke Ashworth had their pens saved to put Curzon in the driving seat. Jerome Wright smashed his 12-yarder home, but it was a piece of cake for the Nash to win it as Jake Parker sent the Blues through in the Doodson cup.

Witton Albion 2-5 FC United. 25 March 2014

An early header by Charlie Raglan put FC in front and the Reds never looked like being caught, in this potential banana skin at Witton. Losing early on in the season at Wincham Park was not to be repeated, as two Tom Greaves goals, not only put United in an unassailable position, but also at the top of the league. The Reds position in the league then yo-yoed as Alex Titchiner made it 3-1, before Michael Norton restored the three-goal cushion and FC position at the top. This was then repeated as Daniel Andrews and Matthew Wolfenden traded goals to end the match, with the Reds in No.1 spot and a comfortable 5-2 away victory. Although the win might have been temporary had Chorley not lost 2-1 to Ashton Town at Hurst Cross.

On a brassic and breezy day in north Manchester, FCs ladies overcame Curzon Ashton for the third time without reply to book their place in the open-age final against Man City. An early goal by Beth Tattersall, FCs women's 100th competitive goal, steady the nerves, but not the weather. Thankfully the Reds had the wind with them in the second half and two strong goals by Amy Vyas as well as a great strike each by Kirsty Chambers (3-0) and Hayley O'Hara to finish, saw the girls easily into the final.

Witton Albion 4-3 FC Utd. 19 February 2013.

During FCs strong run in the league and with 10 changes to the side the Reds put in an excellent shift, but were pipped by the odd goal in seven. Dean Stott started and finished this Doodson Cup fourth-round tie and his team-mates had plenty of chances in between but it just didn't work out on the night. Two goals from Shaun Tuck and one each from Michael Powell and Daniel Andrews, were enough to send Witton through. Rhodri Giggs supplied United's middle goal and on another night he should have finished with a hat-trick, but it wasn't to be and FC are now left to concentrate on the promotion push.

In a close match with half-chances falling to both sides, it looked like a penalty shoot-out was beckoning. Michael Norton had a goal disallowed and Nicky Platt blasted over the bar both early into extra-time. But these proved FCs best moments as with one minute of added time to play Tom Greaves made the difference with a prodded winner at the back post.

8th September 2010. A bright start sees Chris Ovington put Utd one up, but that didn't last long and unfortunately four goals from BPA settled the result in Yorkshire's favour.
