On a brassic and breezy day in north Manchester, FCs ladies overcame Curzon Ashton for the third time without reply to book their place in the open-age final against Man City. An early goal by Beth Tattersall, FCs women's 100th competitive goal, steady the nerves, but not the weather. Thankfully the Reds had the wind with them in the second half and two strong goals by Amy Vyas as well as a great strike each by Kirsty Chambers (3-0) and Hayley O'Hara to finish, saw the girls easily into the final.
