The biggest hit of the season caps off a furious 5-run 9th inning rally as the Mets beat the Miami Marlins 6-5. 👍👍
The Mets' resident Polar Bear belts a rainmaker to cap a double-header and series sweep of the Washington Nationals.
The Polar Bear blasts a 2-run homer and the Flying Squirrel drives in 2 runs with a pinch-hit double in the 6th to lead the Mets to a 5-4 win over Toronto Blue Jays at Citi Field. ⚾
Bad idea by Marisnick, a great call by Mets announcer Gary Cohen and Keith Hernandez asking what everyone else is, "What is he doing?!"
Wait a minute, didn't this happen before? A little Mets' deja vu for you.
St. Louis Cardinals' flamethrower Jordan Hicks was making his first appearance in two years and Luis Guillorme was the first (and only, as it turned out) batter he faced. Hicks was throwing 100MPH+ gas but Guillorme hung tough. The Mets' dugout began cheering at pitch #10 and the fans joined them in cheering every pitch. If this were a regular season game the 22-pitch at-bat would've been a Major League record. To summarize, 22 pitches, 16 foul balls over 15 minutes. In Guillorme's next at-bat he lined out on the first pitch.
