The Golden State Warriors had a major stumble in Game 5 against the Memphis Grizzlies as they lost by 39 points. They’ll look to regroup against an injured Grizzlies team without Ja Morant. At one point during the regular season, the Golden State Warriors were considered one of the best teams in the league. They had the best record and Stephen Curry was playing at a very high level. Now, they hope to get their old mojo back and continue heading towards the ultimate goal. Today’s video will be about why the Warriors could still be on their way to a title this year. The Golden State Warriors were not able to get anything going against the Grizzlies as they got blown out by 39 points in Game 5 against a team with their star, Ja Morant. With Memphis looking to stay alive in the Western Conference Semifinals series, the team came out and played exceptional defense. It was clear from the get go that head coach Taylor Jenkins had Memphis ready to go without star guard Ja Morant (injured knee) in the mix. For the Grizzlies, this was the key as they held the Splash Brothers to just 19 and 14 points. Despite the Warriors taking a commanding 3-1 lead, they just weren’t able to get the job done. Today we will mention points as to why the Golden State Warriors could still be en route to win another championship and solidify their dynasty. But before all that, make sure to hit that like button and subscribe to our channel for more amazing content. If you have any similar or different ideas why the Golden State Warriors are going to be champions this year, hit the comment section as I would love to hear your opinion. Let’s keep rolling. After an up-and-down second half of the season, the Warriors entered the playoffs as the third seed in the Western Conference. Because of their up-and-down end to the season, there were questions about what version of the Warriors we were going to see in the postseason. Even though the Warriors were relatively healthy heading into the playoffs (with the return of Stephen Curry), they were still viewed as somewhat of a mystery. However, through the first two rounds in the Playoffs against the Denver Nuggets and the Memphis Grizzlies, the Warriors have looked like the first-half version of them and should be considered a legit threat to win the 2022 NBA Championship. It wasn’t too long ago that the Golden State Warriors were considered the cream of the crop in the Western Conference. It’s been a few years since their last championship run, but a lot of the pieces are still very much in place for the Warriors. That includes head coach Steve Kerr, Steph Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green. Even though Thompson and Green may not be playing at the same level as they were during their championship years, that experience is not something that should be taken for granted. The Warriors know what it takes to win a championship and that’s something that could only help them. Curry averaged 25.5 points and 6.3 assists per game in the regular season, and although his shooting percentages were subpar (by his standards), they returned to normal in February and March. So far in the 2022 playoffs, the future Hall of Famer is putting up 28.1 points a game on 46.6 percent overall shooting and 35 percent shooting from 3-point range. Curry was at a loss to explain Golden State’s lackluster offensive display, which came so soon after Saturday’s free-scoring game-three blitz. “That’s basketball,” Curry said. “We got a little rushed in the first six minutes and I set the tone for some ugly offense, but credit to our defense. The Warriors need Thompson to play like the All-Star he once was and the all-time great he is. Green, meanwhile, has always looked like his vintage self this year. All three of them rely on skill and resourcefulness rather than athleticism. Another reason the Warriors have been absolutely amazing are the new guys which have been difference-makers for Golden State. At this point, the Golden State Warriors know what they need to do in order to close the series. When the Grizzlies are missing Ja Morant, the Warriors are clearly the better team in this scenario. If the Warriors can do that, they'll be in the Western Conference Finals with some rest to spare. Golden State could very well win the world title again this season, which would give them four rings in the last eight seasons and make them a true dynasty. And what do you guys think? Do the Golden State Warriors have all it takes to win? Who can match up with their new death lineup? I would love to hear your opinion so please let me know what you think in the comments. The Dallas Mavericks led by Luka Doncic and Jalen Brunson are making a dominating comeback in their playoff series with 2 straight wins while the Phoenix Suns are wondering what’s going wrong. The Dallas Mavericks have rocked the boat for the #1 team in the West. Jalen Brunson came back to his first-round form and put up a game-high 28-point performance in Game 3, while Reggie Bullock who has been shooting lights out since the start of the Playoffs had 15 points going 40% off the 3-point line, while Dorian Finney-Smith had 8 three’s in Game 4. All of them have contributed massively on the defensive end as well but Doncic would still be the MVP of both games with a game-high +20 in the plus-minus column. Today’s video will be about how Luka and the Dallas Mavericks can beat the Phoenix Suns to advance to western conference finals. The difference was Luka finally got some offensive production from his supporting cast these past two games. Doncic scored 26 points in both games, and the Dallas Mavericks turned up the defensive pressure to get back in their Western Conference semifinal series with Phoenix, beating the Suns 111-101 on Sunday night. Before we begin today, make sure to hit that like button and subscribe to our channel if you haven’t already. Let’s keep rolling. What Do You Know, Luka Has Teammates Through Games 1 and 2, Luka Doncic was averaging 40.0 points per game while Jalen Brunson and Spencer Dinwiddie were only averaging 20.5 points per game. It is also worth mentioning that outside of Doncic, the Mavericks struggled to find consistency on offense in the first two games of this series. In Games 3 and 4 though, Jalen Brunson, Dorian Finney smith, Reggie Bullock and others turned up the heat. The supporting cast around Luka Doncic stepped up with 71 combined points in Game 3 and this proved to be a massive difference in favor of Dallas, especially since these four players shot 11-30 (36.7%) from deep. Physicality Is Phoenix’s Kryptonite The Mavericks Offense Is Efficient When They Attack The Rim A lot of the Dallas Mavericks' offensive sets this season have revolved around giving the ball to Luka Doncic and getting out of the way. These isolation sets have resulted in some success, but in the playoffs, specifically against the Suns, Dallas’ offense has been very stagnant. Luka can only do so much for this team and he alone is not going to be able to carry them in this series, this being very apparent after he scored a combined 80 points in Games 1 and 2, and Dallas still got outscored by a combined 27 points. Getting others involved and moving the ball was essential for the Mavericks to do in Games 3 and 4 and they did just that. They were able to get more open looks, specifically from the three-point line, by moving the ball around, and instead of standing around, Dallas looked to constantly attack the holes. Booker has become a solid defender. While he does not need to carry a similar offensive load as Doncic due to the Suns’ depth, he is an incredibly important part of their offense. That makes attacking him on the defensive end an important part of the Mavericks’ offense. The Mavericks did not shoot well from outside which is why it is unsurprising. Those misses were due to the Mavericks simply missing more than good contests from Booker. The Mavericks were relentless in attacking the basket though and that is where they hurt Booker. The Mavericks were 9-of-11 on twos defended by Booker. The most aggressive player in attacking Booker was Brunson who had his best game of the series. Brunson had 28 and 18 points in Games 3 and 4, respectively, after averaging 11 points per game in Games 1 and 2. This level of aggression from Brunson will need to continue as he really stepped it up. Doncic is the better player, but he is at his best when Brunson is playing well. Brunson was not the only one to attack Booker though. Booker was one of the many defenders whom Doncic took into the post. Doncic is simply too skilled, big, and strong for any of the Suns’ perimeter defenders other than perhaps Jae Crowder. This work of pivoting beauty is the perfect example of the best way for Doncic to get in on attacking Booker. Adjustments are going to be made night-in and night-out, and Jason Kidd and Dallas made all of the correct adjustments both before and during Games 3 and 4. Whether or not they can make the correct adjustments after the games and heading into Game 5 this week though is a key question. And what do you guys think? Can the Mavs eliminate the Suns? Who will step up and help Luka? I would love to hear your opinion so let me know what you think in the comments. When we look at the best Batman and Robin duos in the history of the NBA, the first ones that might come to mind would be Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen, LeBron James and Dwayne Wade, Kobe Bryant and Shaq, etc. But we are witnessing an evolving new one-two punch in the Boston Celtics with Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown. Winning a title isn’t easy. Standards are impossibly high when you’re a team with 17 title banners hanging above your court. But the reward for delivering another championship is quite grand. It simply comes down to how hard the core of this team wants to work to be great. With Jaylen back and healthy, the Celtics have a real chance in the Playoffs. Today’s video will be about how Jaylen Brown is helping to push the Boston Celtics to new heights. With Jaylen Brown back, the Celtics can keep on pushing towards the final goal. He's inevitably needed for this plan to be fulfilled. As the tables have turned for the Celtics, who have been striving since the New Year after having a terrible start to the season, they look forward to closing out the rest of the games until the end of the regular season and getting the best seed possible. Today we will talk about the influence Jaylen Brown’s been having on the squad. But before all that, make sure to hit that like button and subscribe to our channel for more amazing content. If you have any similar or different ideas why the Boston Celtics are playing great, hit the comment section as I would love to hear your opinion. Let's keep rolling. At the time of this video, the Celtics stand firmly at the 5th spot in the eastern conference with their record of 41-28, being only 3.5 games behind the first place. They have the second-best defensive rating (106.3) and the fourth-best net rating (5.7) in the league. Undoubtedly, they will go to the playoffs where they already have had success, going to 3 Eastern Conference Finals in the last 5 years. This season, with the new coach Ime Udoka who is a candidate for the Coach of the Year by the way. Jaylen Brown recently injured his ankle with a scary fall against the Hawks on March 2. Jaylen Brown’s improvement and maturity can be seen both over the years and this season too. Even though he wasn’t selected for the All-Star game, at the time of the voting, the Celtics were struggling. Only Jayson Tatum got the All-Star nod from this team, and deservingly so. The man is a scoring machine who has had much improvement in other areas of his game. But still Jaylen Brown was salty. Coach is giving Brown more minutes and more responsibilities and he has risen to the task, making shots and playing defense. He hasn't been making a lot of shots in the paint but is making them efficiently. He knows how to use his strength against weaker defenders and punish them below the rim. The Celtics brought New Energy since the New Year. Now he is running towards the paint and dunking over much bigger guys, which we saw on Sunday when he dunked on Maxi Kleber and the arena exploded. And right in front of the Big Ticket, Kevin Garnett. After their game against the Dallas Mavericks where they took a loss, Kevin Garnett's jersey was retired. Hopefully, seeing his jersey in the rafters can inspire them even more at winning the championship which KG already did with that legendary 2007-2008 Boston Celtics lineup. During this stretch of wins, where they went 18-4 in the last 22 games, the critics have been shut up. The Celtics have been dominant throughout their streak, and Tatum and Brown haven’t necessarily needed to play their best games. The defense has been a huge boost for the C’s, overcoming some slow nights from the star duo. But Tatum and Brown are the team’s most valuable pieces. Both players are still 25-and-under with plenty of ball still left in their careers. Jaylen is their second-best player and he has to take it up a notch if he wants to win it all. And what do you guys think? Will Jaylen Brown step up when it matters the most? How far can the surging and much improved Boston Celtics go in the postseason this year? I would love to hear back from you so please don’t be shy and let me know what you think in the comments.
