Giannis Antetokounmpo and James Harden have been throwing shots, there’s an NBA rivalry so let’s breakdown Giannis vs Harden. #NBA #Giannis #Harden Tik Tok- https://vm.tiktok.com/Vwagr2/ Second Channel- https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCZWAssCaz6YHMXGziCKtdPw The OUTRO song is OUT!: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-SUYj3SUdUw Instagram- @MJ2K_ALLDAY Twitter- @mj2kallday This all starts in 2014, a meaningless regular season game in November of 2014. The Bucks are down big, Harden is doing his thing and commits an offensive foul on Giannis. Giannis immediately gets up and starts talking to Harden, pretty aggressively. Then he knocks the ball out of Harden’s hands, Harden pushes Giannis while talking, and eventually good old Larry Sanders steps in which leads some shoving, pushing, and probably cursing. Harden continues to talk to Giannis later on. Larry Sanders was in the NBA during this time, wow the nostalgia. So really there wasn’t anything to make of it other than frustrations and some trash talk. The next game they played on February 6, 2015 and it was normal. Giannis dropped a career high, the Rockets won by 6. This was during Jason Kidd was coaching and experimenting with Giannis at point guard. There were no altercations, no trash talk, nothing. The only real notable thing was that the Bucks were constantly double teaming Harden even at half-court, but still no real tension. Then, this happened. If Giannis did this on purpose, well props to him man that’s some skill right there. It seemed that Giannis wanted to rifle the pass but held onto the ball a little too long so the angle of the pass changed. Giannis said it was by accident, Harden wished he could have seen it, this was in January of 2019. There’s the whole MVP saga that shouldn’t be ignored. Giannis and Harden were the frontrunners for MVP for the 2018-19 season. Harden dropped insane numbers, averaging 36 a game. Giannis led the Bucks to the best record in the NBA on 27 and 12. Giannis would win MVP, but the interaction between the two wasn’t as pleasant. Most of the time, players in the MVP race tend to be cordial towards each other in front of the media at least. Giannis a few months later in October of 2019 still had to defend winning the MVP saying “That’s their opinion.” and also that the trophy is in his house. It’s weird to be defending an MVP months after, but then again nothing is normal about Harden and Giannis. While both distribute and have some fancy footwork for finishes, it’s such a clash of styles, one guard that isolates and dances on the perimeter, one who’s a 6’11 power forward that drives to the rim, powering through his opponents. In this regular season, the Bucks and Rockets had a good game, nothing extra despite the hostility between Harden and Giannis. Harden acted as if a bowling ball was falling on him when Giannis airballed a three. Giannis blocked the life out of Harden. Harden drew a foul on Giannis that got Giannis aggravated. Now is the All-Star saga. Giannis is drafting and I’m just going to roll the clip. First of all, I’m not sure what Giannis was trying to do with his team, I just, what. Charles Barkley definitely brought on the joke, Giannis played along to the stereotype that Harden holds on to the ball, but Giannis kind of brought that energy in there when he said he was trying to pick between Trae and Kemba leaving Harden out. After the All-Star game, Giannis went out and told the media that their plan for the last few possessions was. Still, Giannis didn’t have to be so blatant with a serious face and take a shot at Harden, again playing to the no defense stereotype. Harden didn’t really respond until his interview with Rachel Nichols on February 28 in which he responded to both the passing allegations and then took a shot at Giannis. (roll the clip). Harden made some good points, Giannis might have joked around in the draft, but it was coming from some sort of perception of Harden. The whole skill thing… yeah that was outta pocket but Harden was trying to show how he’s had to really work hard at the game and develop his craft while Giannis has been given a lot of his gifts which is also unfair because Giannis has worked extremely hard. And so here we are today, once again Giannis and Harden are in MVP conversations although this time it’s pretty clear that Giannis should win. He’s averaging 30 points in 31 minutes. This rivalry between the two of the best players in the world, it’s exciting for the league. But what do you think? Who’s winning MVP? Who’s making the finals?
Kobe Bryant. This one's for him. Kobe inspired not just the NBA community, but the whole world. DONATE HERE: ...
LeBron James and Kawhi Leonard have an NBA rivalry deeper than just the Lakers and Clippers, but here’s what you don’t know. #NBA #Lebron #Kawhi Tik Tok- https://vm.tiktok.com/Cv1FpK/ Second Channel- https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCZWAssCaz6YHMXGziCKtdPw The OUTRO song is OUT!: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-SUYj3SUdUw Instagram- @MJ2K_ALLDAY Twitter- @mj2kallday If you look at the head to head matchups, Kawhi actually leads 15-8 although LeBron pretty much dominates the stat categories. This year, LeBron and Kawhi are both in LA on championship favorite teams, but this rivalry started way before, almost 7 years ago so I wanted to take a look at it. Drop a like for Kawhi smiling, a good 6219. Around the same time just two weeks ago, LeBron made his comments about load management, stating that Why wouldn’t I play if I’m healthy? It doesn’t make any sense to me,” “My obligation is to play for my teammates. If I’m healthy, then I’m going to play. If coach sits me out, then I’m not healthy. It’s just that simple.” It’s kinda funny since this was also LeBron a few years ago. Doc Rivers, the Clippers head coach, responded saying the Lakers' load-management philosophy "is whatever LeBron says it is," and then went one step further, sorta accusing LeBron of trying to attack Kawhi, saying. "Everybody has a reason for saying whatever they say." All this already gives off the vibes that there’s something between LeBron and Kawhi. Let’s not forget Kawhi’s New Balance commercial that takes shots at LeBron, when he mocked him with the crown keychain, which was part of the whole LeBron isn’t the King anymore thing. The commercial is literally called “Reign over LA”. So let’s look back before this season. Really in 2013 was when Kawhi and LeBron faced off. Again, Kawhi wasn’t a superstar or anything and LeBron was the MVP of the league. This was the third straight finals for the Heat. Remember, this is only Kawhi’s second year in the league. He’s 21 years old and his primary defensive assignment is LeBron. And LeBron started off..badly. In the first 3 games of the finals, LeBron didn’t even break 20 points in any of the games. Three games into the finals, Leonard has held LeBron to 16.7 points on 38.9 percent shooting from the floor and a 23.1 percent clip from three. LeBron himself has some more stakes on these finals. When LeBron made the finals in 2007, he got swept by the Spurs. And while his team was trash, Bron admitted that he let the Spurs dictate the way he played and settled for jump shots instead of driving to the paint. So this finals was also meant to show how far he had come. But to see LeBron struggling after possibly his best seasons created a lot of headlines involving Kawhi being a possible LeBron stopper. LeBron would find his way and play well in the next 4 games. He would then average 31.8 points, 9.8 rebounds, and 6.8 rebounds. Kawhi would miss a crucial free throw in Game 6 which eventually led to one of the clutchest shots ever. Kawhi’s start was always linked with LeBron which was further solidified in the 2014 NBA Finals. The 2014 NBA Finals is the Spurs redemption story and the emergence of Kawhi as a star. Although Kawhi still hadn’t really taken the mantle offensively in the 2013-14 season, averaging only 12.8 points and 6.2 rebounds, the finals would be where we saw Kawhi shine offensively in the last 3 games, averaging 23.8 points and 68.6% from the field. In these finals, LeBron was as efficient as ever, averaging 28.2 points on 57% from the field and 52% from 3, but he only averaged 4 assists and 3.8 turnovers a game. Kawhi was instrumental in getting LeBron to give the ball up more. Only 17% of LeBron’s touches when guarded by Kawhi led to shot attempts which is way less than the 35% against all other defenders. What I find really interesting is that LeBron never gave Kawhi the proper respect he deserved for guarding him in the Finals. Part of LeBron may think that it’s really Popovich and his schemes that annoyed him in the finals, not Kawhi’s individual greatness, even if Kawhi is a 2 time defensive player of the year. (Oh come on man). Oh and if you were doubting Kawhi’s actual defense. This is a graphic of Kawhi’s defense on LeBron versus other Spurs players. LeBron touches the ball less, shoots less, and drives less against Kawhi. Kawhi also paralleled LeBron by going to the East and leading a team to the finals and eventually a championship. So essentially what this comes down to is competitive play and legacies that are linked. There is respect between the two, but because Kawhi was called the LeBron stopper and a legitimate one at that, the two were meant to be rivals. From the moment they met in the 2013 NBA Finals, they have acted as rivals. But what do you think? Who’s winning the ship this year?
LeBron James and the Lakers have been amazing this NBA season, but is LeBron getting better? Check out Raycons Black Friday Deals!: https://buyraycon.com/mj2kallday #NBA #LeBron #Lakers Second Channel- https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCZWAssCaz6YHMXGziCKtdPw The OUTRO song is OUT!: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-SUYj3SUdUw Instagram- @MJ2K_ALLDAY Twitter- @mj2kallday Man has LeBron come back for the throne. He’s averaging a career high in assists, but he’s also doing something we haven’t seen for over 5 years. I’m not trying to compare LeBron to just last year, I’m talking about his time on the Cavs too, so I wanted to really see if he’s somehow getting better and why he’s looked so good right now. Usually I would start with what the player has done in the past and then see what they are doing right now to compare, but because LeBron’s body of work is so long, let’s take a look at what he’s doing this season and compare that to his best ever. This is LeBron’s defensive win shares for his career. This is his win shares this season if he keeps this pace. LeBron is on pace to have 5.79 defensive win shares this season. He hasn’t had that high of defensive win shares in a season since the 2008-2009 season when LeBron was 24 and on Cavs for the first time. What? That’s higher than his Miami Heat days when LeBron was 2nd in defensive player of the year voting. Yeah, LeBron is doing something he hasn’t done since Curry got drafted into the league. Stats are one thing, but watching LeBron is another. LeBron is really putting that effort on that side. Yeah, chasedown blocks are nice, but I’m more interested in how LeBron is getting into a defensive stance and move his feet. Look at this defense from one pass away. LeBron is loaded, low, and moving his feet to cover both passing options, he eventually gets the steal. Last year this was the opposite. Even years in the past, LeBron has high IQ so he would get steals, but this is physical effort mixed in with IQ. That’s what made him so special in Miami because LeBron used his physical prowess on the defensive end and now he’s doing that again. LeBron’s absolutely right. LeBron is also averaging a career low in minutes per game at 34.9 minutes which doesn’t mean a whole lot by itself, but actually means everything when put into context. LeBron James has been a leader in minutes per game for years. For 2016-2018, LeBron was ranked 1st in minutes per game. Last season he was 7th. And he was visibly tired some nights. This year, he’s ranked 11th. We saw this in the 2015-2016 season when he was ranked 14th. Also, LeBron has been averaging the most minutes in the playoffs for years as well. So the fact that he wasn’t in the playoffs helped LeBron rest, but more importantly than that is the fact that LeBron is playing less minutes this season. The easiest to see is that LeBron is averaging a career high in assists. His previous high for a season was 9.1 assists and now he’s averaging 11.1. It’s not just because his teammates are just making more shots. LeBron has 19.9 potential assists which is a career high too. His previous high was 16 potential assists and even on the Miami Heat, he was averaging 13 potential assists. There’s also the fact that pace has gone up. Still, he’s also averaging is lowest turnovers since 2013. But, LeBron is averaging his second lowest points per game at 25. He’s had two seasons where he averaged 25.3 points but only in his rookie season did he average less than thaIn fact, this is his 7th worst field goal percentage in a season in his career. But honestly, his offense is comparable to his past self. His number drives are comparable to his previous years, but if you look at the drives themselves, LeBron is bullying opponents. LeBron’s offense is more like 2014-15 where he’s just shrugging them off more and more. There is more of a dominance factor to LeBron. I know twitter was roasting +/- so let’s forget about that and look at on and off the court stats of this season compared to LeBron’s previous seasons per 100 possessions. And oh look at that, LeBron’s almost at a career high +17.4. LeBron was only a +1.9 on/off, oh yeah, he was one of the worst defenders in the league that year. It makes sense that the 2009 Cavs was his career high. I think LeBron could do this every year he’s healthy which has been every year but one, but he’s rested and he’s playing less so he can do more in the time he’s playing. I’m excited to see what LeBron does in the playoffs, so far, this season is really giving me 2014-2015 Cavs LeBron vibes from the eye test and the stats show it. But what do you think? Will LeBron win MVP? Will he keep this level up?
Kobe Bryant and LeBron James are some of the best basketball players ever, but there was a time where Kobe absolutely dominated LeBron. #NBA #Kobe #Lakers Second Channel- https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCZWAssCaz6YHMXGziCKtdPw The OUTRO song is OUT!: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-SUYj3SUdUw Instagram- @MJ2K_ALLDAY Twitter- @mj2kallday This isn’t a video saying that Kobe is better than LeBron, I’ma let you in comments talk that out and I’ma read all the arguments. These two are great players with some pretty impressive battles, LeBron’s gotten the better of Kobe and Kobe’s gotten the better of Bron, but there was a time in specific where the two were still in their primes in which Kobe owned LeBron. And to the 91% that watch my videos that still aren’t subscribed, Ben Simmons just made a three, so at this point, I’m shooting my shot and asking you to please subscribe. The year is 2013. LeBron is on the Miami Heat, he just won his first championship in 2012, a dominant finals run. The 2012-13 season is perhaps LeBron’s physical prime. Many say that this is his best season. He was simultaneously one of the best offensive players and best defensive players, 1st team All-NBA 1st team All-Defense, had 5 player of the month awards, the MVP. He averaged 26.8 points per game, 7.3 assists, 8 rebounds on 56% shooting from the field and 40% from 3. It was one of the most dominant seasons in NBA history and so there were more and more comparisons between LeBron, Kobe, and Jordan. This is also the same year that the Lakers had the super team *ahem super team. Dwight Howard was on the Lakers dealing with a nasty shoulder, Steve Nash was doing his best at the age of 38. Pau Gasol was dealing with multiple injuries. And then there was Kobe Bryant. Yeah Kobe Bryant was 34 years old at this point, he’s won 5 championships including the ship in 2010, just averaged 27.9 points the season before, finishing 4th in MVP voting. And the 2012-2013 season was no different. Kobe would go on to average 27.3 points, 6 assists, and 5.6 rebounds and finish 5th in MVP voting. On February 14, 2013, Michael Jordan picked Kobe over LeBron in an NBA TV saying that it would be a tough choice, but 5 beats one every time. This was right before the 2013 All-Star Game on February 17th. So that weekend was filled with a lot more direct comparisons between Kobe and LeBron. LeBron said that it didn’t matter to him and that he’s trying to make his own name. And here comes the All-Star game, East vs West, LeBron vs Kobe , the two leading vote getters. The stage was set. Now these were the days the All-Star games actually had some defense with the last 6-7 minutes of the game was played seriously. This was a game of bragging rights and pride was on the line. The first 3 and a half quarters kinda goes along. LeBron James is doing his thing, dunking ferociously, but he wasn’t imposing himself on the game. Kobe was more of a background player too, moving the ball around, and getting other players involved. The intensity is different now, all the players are playing defense, there are plays being ran, a lot of off-ball movement. Down the stretch, LeBron brought up the ball almost every time and matched up with him is Kobe Bryant who is hounding LeBron. There were plays LeBron didn’t look to score and he just gave up the ball without really doing anything to the defense. Kobe isos on Bosh, gets by him and takes the layup pushing the West’s lead to 8. It’s LeBron’s turn to answer now and so he’s bringing the ball up. Kobe immediately gets to defending him, shuts him down, and then gives him a stare. That block leads to an easy bucket for Durant and the West are up by 10. The next possession, LeBron doesn’t even to look to shoot or create an opportunity for someone else, he just passes and gets out of the way. With one minute left and the East down 6, LeBron has the ball again, Kobe hounds him and he turns it over which leads to an easy bucket. Kobe picks him up the full length of the court and blocks LeBron. Eventually, Kobe fouls LeBron and starts talking a bit with LeBron walking away. This was more of a heated rivalry. Kobe showed that he could stop LeBron even when so many thought he was untouchable and in the midst of Jordan’s comments, this was Kobe’s way of saying I’m better. And he didn’t. LeBron’s last bucket was with 6 minutes left in the 3rd. Kobe finished the game with 9 points and 8 assists, but his lockdown defense directly led to points for the West in crunch time. This would be the season that Kobe would tear his Achilles while keeping his promise that the Lakers would make the playoffs and LeBron would win his second ring. It really was the last time we gotta to see a healthy Kobe before his Achilles tear go at it with LeBron and simply put, Kobe dominated him, but what do you think? I’m gonna ask the question, who do you like more, Kobe or LeBron?
Dwight Howard signed with the Lakers and is now with LeBron James and Anthony Davis, but does he actually help the Lakers? #NBA #Lakers Second Channel- https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCZWAssCaz6YHMXGziCKtdPw Instagram- @MJ2K_ALLDAY Twitter- @mj2kallday Here's BBALLBREAKDOWN's video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CN8_TPMFyNE Dwight Howard signed with the Lakers on Mamba day, which makes perfect sense after Kobe and Dwight’s relationship. Yeah, especially after the injury DeMarcus Cousins, so I wanted to dive deeper into all this and show how Dwight Howard can still be effective and perfectly fits their needs. Drop a like for the amount of the amount of free throws Dwight Howard has missed, and don’t worry I counted, 7722. Dwight Howard is a 3 time defensive player of the year, a 5 time first team ALL-NBA, a guy that was dominant and led his team to the Finals. He was dunking on people, blocking shots, grabbing all the rebounds but he wasn’t doing this on crazy stats, averaging 20.6 points and 13.8 rebounds, but that was a different time, a different era with centers actually posting up. You might have PTSD from the last time Dwight Howard was on the Lakers, so I just wanted to have a quick side note. Dwight averaged 17.1 points and 12.4 rebounds along with 2.4 blocks shooting 58% from the field. He led the league in rebounding and played in 76 games, but he also played most of the season with a torn labrum in his shoulder, making it extremely painful for him to use that shoulder in movements or bang down low. Fast forward to just two years ago in the 2017-2018 season, and Dwight averaged 16.6 points and 12.5 rebounds on 55% shooting from the field along with 1.6 blocks. He played in 81 games, and was 8th in the league in offensive rebounds per game at 3.1, similar to a guy like Clint Capela who averaged 3.3 rebounds. All of this was just in 30.4 minutes a game, a starting role, but nothing too much. He impacted shots, leading to a 4.6% drop in shots less than 6 feet. Dwight is definitely not as athletic as before, but that doesn’t mean that all his defensive instincts and timing to block and disrupt shots are gone. As I already mentioned, Dwight is a great rebounder, still one of the best in the league. That means the Lakers don’t have rely heavily on Anthony Davis to bang down low for rebounds. Instead, Dwight Howard would fill that role which helps AD play more of his natural position and also avoid more injuries. The Lakers don’t compromise here, in fact Dwight Howard has actually averaged more rebounds than DeMarcus has in the same 6 year stretch in about 31 minutes a game. What I haven’t talked about specifically are his pick and rolls. Dwight Howard was used as a versatile pick setter. What separates Dwight from many other centers is really his quickness with his strength at the center spot. As you can see, Dwight can set mean screens that really holds up the defense, but more importantly that that, Dwight has great foot speed and acceleration. He’s great at readjusting the pick as needed. Guys like Rondo and LeBron James are playmakers that snake their way using the pick to survey the floor and find the opening, either for themselves or for others. Howard has proven to continuously move his feet. This movement confuses defenses and with Howards acceleration to the rim and good roll angles, LeBron and Rondo will have a lot of passing lanes to find Dwight deep in the paint, either for a lob or a layup. LeBron gets another pick and roll option with a guy who can match LeBron’s pace when LeBron speeds up or slows down. Howard can also take some of the defensive attention off of LeBron when he rolls, giving LeBron more space to pull up from 3. His quickness also translates defensively. He’s not the defensive player of the year he once was, but he’s still got those instincts. He’s a great weak side defender, not necessarily blocking shots like he used to, but still getting great contests. He is also able to go out on the perimeter on these high pick and rolls and contest bigs that can shoot 3s or even guards. Yes, Dwight Howard only played 9 games last season, due to rehabbing from his back surgery and a gluteal injury which is where all the jokes come from. But if you look at Dwight’s career, he’s been relatively healthy. In 15 seasons including his last season of 9 games and a lockout season of 66 games, Dwight has averaged 69.6 games per season. Dwight’s mental baggage is another story. The Lakers felt as if Howard had reached his lowest point and was humbled by it. A guy who got his coach fired, who didn’t want to with a champion in Kobe, who couldn’t a reduced role of being a secondary star with Harden. None of his money is guaranteed. And for what he brings to the table, elite rebounding, rim protecting, and pick and rolls, that makes Dwight one of the most effective role player centers in the league that can easily help the Lakers.
This NBA decade has seen the likes of LeBron James, Stephen Curry, Kobe Bryant, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Kawhi Leonard, James Harden, Russell Westbrook and so many more, but who are the top 10 players in this decade? #NBA #Curry #LeBron Awards Excel: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1NcSScV_wrrQ51IMqCDtF-8wbKePl_kKw8yUHQ8aYrPE/edit?usp=sharing Second Channel- https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCZWAssCaz6YHMXGziCKtdPw Instagram- @MJ2K_ALLDAY Twitter- @mj2kallday We’re gonna be looking at a lot of players, and tryna rank NBA players like LeBron James, Anthony Davis, Kevin Durant, Dwyane Wade, Paul George, Stephen Curry, Kobe Bryant, Time Duncan, Chris Paul, Russell Westbrook, Dwight Howard, and so many more. Not everyone can make the list and only 1 will be at the top. With all these All-Decade Teams and with the decade ending, I thought it would be a pretty good time to look at all what has happened in the past 10 years, the good and the bad, and rank players. This video took me a long time to look into about 20 players careers for 10 years, but if you like this type of content and wanna see more, drop a like. If we hit 12,329, I’ll do this for the 2000. The NBA 2K20 demo is coming out tomorrow so I’ll be streaming on my second channel. And if you’re part of the 74% that watch my videos that still aren’t subscribed, the players in here are great so please subscribe. So here is the point list that I came up with for each award, I changed some things thanks to your suggestions. Other factors like Finals appearances, stats averages, record breaking events, certain performances, and longevity aren’t awards but are part of context when ranking players. Awards themselves can have circumstances surrounding them, like the All-NBA team having positions meaning that players like LeBron, Durant, Kawhi, Davis are fighting for the same 2 spots on the 1st team, but could all be top 5 players in the league in that season. Remember this ranks stars and superstars, not all players. Role players like Patrick McCaw might have more points than someone like Carmelo Anthony because of having 3 championships, but that doesn’t mean that he was a better player. So any player under 30 points was automatically filtered out. I made an excel sheet that public for all of you to see their awards and stats. It’s in the description. Alright so let’s start. And that’s the top 10 players in this decade. But what do you think? Is there someone else more deserving? What’s your top 10 list? The excel with all their stats and awards is public for you to see. I also do have pages of notes for all the stuff these stats don’t show. If you want that to be public, let me know. Drop a like for all the greatness of these players. This video took a really long time to research all these players careers, but if you like it, we can make this a series. If you stayed till this point of the video, you are seriously a real one. Comment greatness so I know you a real one. The instagram shout of the day goes to Isaac and the ALLDAY notification squad shout out goes to Derek. Thanks for the ALLDAY support.
