Was it a shot or a cross? It won't matter for Hajduk Split's Marko Livaja after he opened the scoring against Osijek in Croatia on Sunday. The 27-year-old fired home from a near-impossible angle to give his side the lead. Osijek had the last laugh, though, when they came back to win the top-flight match 2-1. Glen McAuley, formerly of English Premier League side Liverpool, completed his hat-trick with a stunning 124th-minute equaliser from inside his own half in an astonishing FAI (Football Association of Ireland) Cup match between Athlone and Waterford on Friday. McAuley's heroics brought the game level at 4-4 at the end of extra time, but the 21-year-old still ended up on the losing side as, despite converting his spot-kick in the resulting shoot-out, Athlone were beaten 4-2 on penalties by Waterford. Denmark goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel playfully responded with a journalist during a press conference ahead of his team's semi-final match against England on Wednesday. The Leicester City keeper was asked by a reporter 'what it would mean to stop it coming home?'. Schmeichel responded by asking 'has it ever been come? I don't know, have you ever won it?'. Declan Rice has revealed fellow England midfielder Mason Mount has tested negative for Covid-19. Mount and defender Ben Chilwell missed England's last group after close contact with Scotland's Billy Gilmour, who tested postive for the virus. Rice joked he was "a lost soul" without his England team mate and childhood friend in the camp. He also reflected on Frank Lampard's disallowed goal against Germany at the World Cup in 2006. England face Germany in the last 16 of the European Championships on Tuesday. Cristiano Ronaldo has cost the drinks brand Coca-Cola billions of dollars after he removed their bottles from in front of him during a press conference, instead telling people to 'drink water'. What seemed a fairly innocuous move has sent the company's share price to a $4bn fall. Coca-Cola, one of the official sponsors of Euro 2020, replied on Tuesday with a statement that said 'everyone is entitled to their drink preferences' with different 'tastes and needs'. Denmark goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel has said that the decision for his side to continue playing after teammate Christian Eriksen's cardiac arrest should 'not have been made in the heat of the moment.' He added: 'I think it would probably have been a wise decision to maybe change the rules or the regulations in extraordinary circumstances'. Denmark lost their opening game to Finland 1-0 after returning to the pitch after Eriksen collapsed on the field. Eriksen is now recovering in hospital.
